A ryokan style hotel on the mountainside overlooking Takamatsu. It’s a beautiful location. Slightly inconvenient for sightseeing, but the hotel has a free shuttle bus to take visitors to the JR station. The rooms are traditional with tatami mats, but quite dated. Slight smell in some parts of the hotel. There was a minor mix-up with the yukatas provided (which come in gendered colours) and we had to ask for koshihimo (waist cord) as there weren’t any provided in the room. Dinner and breakfast were kaiseki style and very delicious with a big focus on fish. Top floor has a nice communal onsen. Overall a very good experience of a Japanese ryokan.

Its location is convenient. It’s not far from the JR station but you can enjoy beautiful sea views and hot spring. Shuttle bus service is offered but you need to reserve seats in advance. My room was equipped with a private onsen. The room was spacious and clean. Free drinks like coffee and orange juice were provided in the lobby. My husband can’t eat fish so they deliberately arranged another menu for him.

The hotel’s service was exceptional, with staff going above and beyond to make our stay memorable. The scenery was breathtaking, offering stunning views that made every moment special. Breakfast and dinner were outstanding, featuring delicious dishes that showcased local flavors. To top it off, they surprised us by preparing a famous local cake to celebrate my wife’s birthday, which was a delightful and thoughtful touch. Everything was perfectly arranged, and their attention to detail truly impressed us. This hotel exceeded our expectations, and we’d highly recommend it to anyone looking for a remarkable experience.

Excellent experience at a Japanese Onsen hotel! The interior design was very traditional Japanese and the room was spacious with a small balcony where you can enjoy the sunset. Onsen was beyond our expectations, with private baths (no reservations but tends to have at least one available) and also good substances in the spring water that gives a relaxing sensation to your muscles. Overall really enjoyed our stay.

Expertly perched on the mountain above Takamatsu. our room had a private bath with a view of the city. Make sure to order dinner and breakfast with your room, it is a wonderful experience. The public Onsen is not busy and roof top views are amazing. The manager greeted us upon arrival, every one is friendly and helpful. Would love to stay longer or come back again.

Helpful staff, beautiful and clean room, nice onsen with high-quality water and stunning view from the top in the morning. The dinning room was nice in terms of atmosphere and the food was above average. But the restaurant staff refused to borrow a knife for us to cut fruits at our room, making us slightly frustrated despite their explanation about safety issues.

We first came here in 2016 and revisited last time. Some parts of the hotel are obviously tired and worn out, e.g. some lift buttons and the stairs. We stayed for 2 nights. The western style room had some sewage smell which was unpleasant, not very strong but wouldn't expect that in hotels of this standard. The Japanese style room was perfect. The staff were the best, professional and friendly. The dinner menu has Western, modernised elements and is superb. We will come again next time in Takamatsu - but look forward to some renovation work being done...

The room is extra big than most Japanese hotels I lived in. The food makes me very happy, I even had two tub in my room. I liked it so much, me and my kid had a great time here. Extra large bed is another on of my favorite point here. Generally speaking I would like to come here as a second time.
