I'm very satisfied! Considering this location where I can enjoy nature and encounter wild deer normally, this hotel enables us to spend a comfortable and clean time. That was the best choice for us, not a luxurious hotel. At first, I wanted to choose my own meals, but now that I think about it, considering the situation where there are few restaurants and regular holidays are irregular, I was able to spend my time without worrying about meals. It's a lunch box style, so it's the best to go to the bridge and eat while watching the sunset. Above all, the staff's homemade food was so delicious. I think Panini that was one of the hotel’s menu is for incorporating into our home repertoires. Thank you very much.

The service is great and we enjoyed our stay, although we would appreciate a bit more space/designated area for drying towels and other belongings outside of the room because of the humidity. Pillows are high and a bit hard, but overall comfortable. 2 showers, a mixed toilet and a female toilet available. Snorkeling equipment rental on premises (2k yen for the suit + snorkeling set, 1k yen for snorkeling set only). Washing machine available (200yen per cycle).

A hidden gem on a peaceful island We stayed at Hanamuro Inn for two nights and absolutely loved it. The place is clean, cozy, and run by kind host. Perfect base to explore beautiful Aka Island. A few small restaurants and two mini-markets are nearby. Everything you need for a relaxing stay. The beaches are stunning and never crowded. If you’re looking for peace, nature, and clear blue water, this is the spot. Would definitely come back! ⸻ Let me know if you want it in another language or with more personal detail. .

Friendly staff. This place is for the younger traveller. The rooms are small and right next to each other; the showers are shared and next to the tiny kitchen but the communal area is nice and it makes for easy interaction with other stayers/travellers. This is a small island so there is not much choice but that you have to accept along with the beauty of the island. Eating establishments are very limited and so I used the single shop and what they had on the day. The snorkeling diving is fantastic. I am glad they made this area a marine reserve as it shows with the whales visible from the island lookouts and the huge variety of colourful fish as many or more than other places I have dived in. Maldives, Galagapos, Fiji, Great Barrier Reef, etc.

We stayed here for about 1 week in October and we cannot recommend this place enough!! If you like chill vibes in a small sleepy snorkling/freediving town that’s walkable and one with nature, then this is your place <3||The rooms were super clean and comfy for us. Yes the bathroom and showers are shared but I don’t mind it. The cleanliness of this place puts any American and European cleaning to shame! ||The property is close to one beach that’s 2 min away and we snorkelled there every morning. You can also walk to 2 other beaches about 10 min away. ||The food they served was delicious! We are vegan (for the animals) and they cooked delicious vegan food. Some of the best vegan food we’ve had on our trip. ||I also had a medical accident and the owner’s wife called the doctor and came with us to the hospital (btw their healthcare also puts American healthcare to share). ||We are so grateful for their hospitality. All the staff were so nice and accommodating. We dream of returning to this place one day.

The worst service ever. When your activities and plans get ruined by typhoon, you’re unable to go to Aka island, and you’re forced to make last-minute changes of your entire vacation, wait for it because they will make it an even miserable experience by charging you 50%~100% of canceling fee. They’re untouched by your conditions and struggle after hours of negotiation over phone call. When the boats are suspended from Naha to Aka they say “it was working yesterday and will be tomorrow”, ignoring how a traveler is suffering from the risk of losing boats or missing one’s flight, in their logic if you book for these days you’re supposed to appear no matter what. They said to me “there’s typhoon and it’s a pity all your diving activities were canceled, you won’t be able to swim either, but look the weather isn’t so bad in the end and you could have at least enjoyed the view.” When we escalated this case to the tourist center of Aka we were told the Hanamura Inn is too big a business for them to intervene. I don’t know how big this business is, but if it’s running by charging bloody canceling fee to innocent travelers from all over the world for the world’s class diving spot, what a shame is it. Leaving bad taste for all of us without even being able to step on the island yet.

Coming from America, this place felt very much like camping out in a room. For anyone truly here for the snorkeling and diving, that’s probably fine. For a couple of senior citizens from Ohio this type of hotel was an adjustment. In its favor, we dealt with a very pleasant manager. She was kindness itself to the degree that she could be. The whole place was so clean; she scrubbed and disinfected daily in a way American hotels could take lessons from. We are not accustomed to communal bathrooms with public sinks, but the cleanliness of those facilities was never a problem.

I just left aka after a two night stay-was supposed to be three nights but s typhoon delayed our trip from Tokyo. You do have to walk 5 minutes from the ferry with your bags but we travel light so not a big deal. The room was small with two beds and that’s about it. There are two communal toilet and two shower rooms. The place is small, I think 6 rooms so this was not a problem. What made the place nice were the friendly staff. Always smiling and trying to help you. The ladies apologize for their English but we had no problem communicating. The food prepared was excellent. You eat on the patio all together at 6:20 pm for dinner and 7:30 for breakfast. The food had a good variety and very fresh with hisae cooking right next to the patio. We took the shuttle they provide to the beach twice and also took the little ferry to Zamami island 300 yen each way. The islands are very quiet and are for people that want a relaxing beach holiday with no night life other than a couple tiny bars on the islands. We loved our time on aka at the hanamura as this is what we were looking for.
