Handcrafters House

I am new to sewing and the ladies at Handcrafters have all been so nice and lovely to me and nothing is too much trouble. They even went above and beyond and ordered in fabric for me. I love my weekly sewing classes and Julie has so much sewing knowledge.. I love walking around the store and admiring all the fabrics and the accuquilt dies!!. A must visit for all your sewing needs.

Visiting Handcrafters House has been my treat to myself whenever I’m in midland for years. The store is large, well stocked and well lit with lovely fabrics, patterns, sewing machines and kits. The walls are hung with gorgeous, inspiring quilts that showcase the fabrics available and the skill of the staff. Lately I’ve been attending a weekly sewing group there hosted by the lovely Julie. Gee whiz it’s good. We are absolutely spoiled with morning tea, new super comfortable chairs, large new sewing tables, great lighting, air conditioning and the most skilled, obliging and just plain nice instructor I’ve ever had. My weekly sewing group is now the highlight of my week. And of course, followed up by a stroll through the fabric displays where I rarely leave without finding something gorgeous. The staff are all lovely and very knowledgeable. There’s a huge carpark and the location is super convenient. I honestly cannot recommend Handcrafters highly enough.

Handcrafters House is an absolute gem for anyone who loves quilting and sewing! Their classes are fantastic—perfect for learning new skills, whether you're a beginner or looking to refine your techniques. I’ve attended several workshops, including Quilt-As-You-Go, Free Motion Quilting, One Block Wonder and Bindings and Finishings, and each one has been incredibly well-structured, informative, and fun. The staff are amazing—so knowledgeable, patient, and always willing to offer guidance. Whether you need help choosing fabrics, understanding patterns, or mastering a tricky technique, they go above and beyond to ensure you have the best experience. The sense of community here is wonderful, and I always leave inspired and excited for my next project. If you're looking for a place to grow your quilting skills and connect with like-minded crafters, I highly recommend Handcrafters House!

I have done a few classes here now and once again today's class on dressmaking fundamentals was awesome! Some great techniques learned and looking forward to the next 3 classes. Terril is a fantastic teacher and all the staff are super helpful and very friendly and cheerful. Cannot recommend this shop highly enough. Thank you Michelle and all your staff.

I did the dressmaking class with Terrill these last three weeks. I am soooo appreciative! I feel like the penny has finally dropped on making pattern adjustments to my measurements. Terrill explained and demonstrated things very patiently and effectively, was enthusiastic and listened well, and was so responsive to my questions. Thank you for starting this dressmaking line of classes with Terrill - I'm looking forward to the next one!

Excellent range of fabrics of great quality and variety. Plenty of packs ready cut, plus layer cakes. Classes available. Definitely worth the hour drive from Rockingham.

I have being coming here for a couple of weeks now and just love it, the girls are very helpful and I have got to meet other people in sewing classes, I like the fact they have social sewing on most days. The range of fabrics is amazing , it is my go to fabric shop from now on Jill 😊😊

Handcrafters House is such a fabulous place. It is packed with so much to buy, stacks of inspiration and wonderfully helpful staff. I thoroughly enjoy my weekly classes with Julie.
