Handmark Gallery

A wonderful gallery that has wonderful works of art. It includes sculpture, wooden object, jewellery, paintings, pottery and ceramics. It’s a lovely open space and just off Salamanca Place. There is often a featured artist. A great place.

The staff were very friendly and engaging. The diversity and creativity made it an absolute to view. Proud of our talented Tassie artists.

This gallery has the most lovely range of work permanently available and frequently changing exhibitions. Most of it is quite contemporary but it varies. They also have some fabulous Tasmanian made high end jewellery and ceramics at all times. The staff are friendly but happy to let you browse.

Small, quant and interesting gallery space located within Salamanca Arts Centre. It shows two dimensions and three dimensions works, most of their collection is paintings. They also have some jewelry. A space out the back appears to host workshops.

My favourite gallery in Hobart! Absolutely fantastic 'stable' of Tasmanian artists, and really lovely, helpful, friendly, welcoming and knowledgable staff. I can't recommend highly enough! Just sorry I don't live in Hobart otherwise I'd be here more often!

Fantastic gallery in Hobart I like to see Zsolt Faludi’s pots and Martin Rek’s wonderful pencil drawings of landscapes at Handmark but there are very many Tasmanian artists represented there.

Interesting modern art paintings

Fantastic art.....but fairly poor communication when buying. There was a delay by 3 months in a piece we purchased, which is fine, but the communications around this were poor.
