This place lives and breathes it’s coffee. On-site roasting machinery sets the tone for a good cup of coffee. The beans have been handpicked to pack a punch and it’s the perfect first cup of the day coffee shop. Outdoor seating and friendly staff tops this place off as somewhere to start your day off in Athens. Coffee - 8.0: the beans are what make this cup great. Strong, full of flavour and aromatic. A wave of creamy, caffeinated coffee hits the senses and delights. Only downside is the milk is a little foamy and doesn’t let the coffee blend smoothly as well as it could.

Most tourists will probably be afraid to travel this far out of town - with the mentality that the time can be better allocated. This could be true for some, but if you're a fan of amazing coffee, this is a must visit. The staff are friendly and very knowledgeable on the process from roasting to pulling a shot. I always judge a roaster based on what they sell. This place sells coffee with only a couple of snacks - true dedication.

This coffee roaster serves the very flat white in Athens and the owner/staff are lovely and helpful. As a coffee lover I tried many recommended coffee places over our ten-day stayand this was hands down easily the winner. It's not in the usual touristy area but worth taking time to visit if you love coffee. Also opens early at 7.30am and you can witness local life.

Delicious coffee, friendly staff, marvelous vibe. Hard to a find a decent roastery this days, but here's one.

Amazing!! Some of the best coffee I've had in a long time. I came here after crossfit and had a freddo latte (husband had a cappuccino). Super friendly, damn good coffee, and very fair prices. They have indoor and outdoor seating, plus snacks available, and a small bakery next door. Absolutely worth a visit!

Iced latte was watered down and very ordinary.

I don’t live near this shop so my experience has been from ordering beans off their website. Their beans are amazing, if you take your coffee seriously then you will be very happy here. They also ship orders quickly which is much appreciated. Thank you Handpickers staff!

We visited yesterday lunch time with our three year old toddler, for the first time after having read about it. The coffee was SUPERB! Very correctly described and some of the best coffee in Athens indeed! Both me and my partner were very very impressed! You get a great view of the workshop and the design is very industrial in wood and black paint with gorgeous white tiling. Not the most child friendly place on the map though, I must admit. On the upside, the staff were happy to accommodate all three of us, our son had his toys out on the bar, and even his own juice in his beaker! On the downside, we couldn't help but all indoor seating is made up of very good looking, rather uncomfortable bar stools making it super unwelcoming for most non "18 to 35 ", and there was no option for a little one on the menu. There is lower seating outside- but it was just too windy fir us when we visited . Overall a great experience and awesome coffee, but perhaps better suited to take away for our family for the time being. Definite 5 stars and extra points for smiley staff!
