Visited here last week with my fiance and we're very impressed. Staff is very friendly, greet you at the entrance. All of our food was delicious and everything on the menu is explained, portions weren't massive but we were pleasantly full when leaving. We were also very happy with the price which was very reasonable for the level of food served.

A hip place to get Chinese food, drinks, and a general rowdy youthful atmosphere. You have to keep in mind that this is Dublin though, so the food will not be too authentic. The Chicken Kung Po, the Cheeseburger Spring Rolls, and the Beef Noodles were delicious. I love how responsive the service was though - because some of the starters were slow to come, they took them off with our bill and also added a fried rice to our meal. I am keen to see how the place evolves. All the best!

Such a lovely place! They fit us even though we hadn’t booked, the food and drinks were fantastic, and the service friendly and attentive. One of the waiters very kindly gave myself and my two friends a complimentary treat at the end of our dinner as we were all celebrating professional milestones! Thanks for a lovely experience!

In from Houston and this was our stop for dinner on our final night…excellent choice! The staff was amazing (shout out to Conor!), and the food was *chef’s kiss.* So good we got an order of dumplings to go, too 😉. Delicious! We got the cheeseburger spring rolls, the Wagyu Brisket Croquettes, the Pork Dumplings (I could bathe in the sauce and dip everything I eat for the rest of my life in that sauce…not after I bathe in it, but you get what I mean), and the Sichuan Kung Po Chicken with fried rice. Equally happy and sad we’re ending our stay here; on one hand, an excellent way to go out. On the other, we only got to eat here once. Oh well, guess we have to come back to Dublin again. Darn 😉

The food and drinks were absolutely amazing!! We sat in the gorgeous gold bar upstairs which was perfect for two. I wish I had room for more as it was so delicious. The staff couldn’t have done more for us and we will absolutely recommend here to everyone visit Dublin !

Had 60eur tasting menu, I was looking forward to it. Unfortunately did not enjoy the food, I found most of the dishes were too salty, it was hard to eat. Cocktails were good. Staff and service was nice, told them about the salt issue, they took it OK and appreciated the feedback. Ambience and music was chilled and enjoyable.

This was hands down the best meal we had in our entire trip to Ireland. The cocktails were delicious, as was the food. I highly recommend the Sichuan Kung Po chicken, I literally licked the plate clean of the sauce! We sat outside, so no idea what the inside looked like, but our server was nice and helpful! For four people, we got 2 starters and 3 mains, and replaced the side of rice with fried rice noodles for 2/3 of the mains (the noodles are a must). Nothing was particularly spicy, unless you ate the dark red chilis in the chicken. Can’t recommend this place enough. On a Thursday night, we could walk in for a table outdoors or at the bar, but you’d need a reservation for an indoor table.

Yelp
This menu was one of our favorite dinners in Dublin. Our server Gigi was a hoot - Absolutely loved her! She recommended the tasting menu, which was a lot of food but totally worth it. You can pre-order two special dishes (Peking Duck and wagyu beef) and I would love to try those next time. You can't order those unless you pre-ordered. We sat at the bar and the ambiance was really fun. Great cocktails as well.

Yelp
When in Dublin, right? Wow, this place is simply amazing! For SF Bay Area peeps, use Mission Chinese as reference. This place is just simply top notch and a must top-to-bottom.

Yelp
Really liked Hang Dai. Very cool, trendy (but not fake) feel but the food was actually good. The cheesesteak spring rolls and chicken wing starter were both excellent, very tasty with interesting flavors. Pre-ordered the duck and that was a good call. Came in three stages. First was duck broth, so much better than it sounds. Then was duck and veg in a cabbage bowl (there was a different option we didn't choose), also great. Finally roast duck breast with pancakes, very similar to Peking Duck you get in other places but still good. The only slight disappointment on the evening was KFC, a fried chicken dish. To me, tasted not that different than what you would get in a food court. Not bad but not as noteworthy as everything else. Definitely would recommend Hang Dai.

Yelp
Street parking. What a unique one of a kind place with upstairs where restroom is. Feels like a disco subway train by a night street market. Glass windows allow you to see the Caucasian chefs cooking. I loved my tofu meat sauce mixed with rice, amazing! Hubs loved his dish too. Pricey, but worth it. I'd be a regular, if I was a local.

Yelp
I take it all back. We ordered Lockdown takeout this week and it was superb. I don't think my standards have fallen. I just think they've seriously upped their game. Only odd thing was they wanted payment in cash which, at the moment, is strange, so I had to detour to an ATM to source the by now unfamiliar banknotes. Thus armed, we ventured past the Garda checkpoint who waved us through obviously sensing the urgency of our mission. On the menu tonight were prawn crackers, prawn toast (delicious and very moreish), chicken (spicy and very good), crispy sea trout with fried rice (don't miss), 1/2 duck which was enormous and fantastic even though the kidult baulked at the sight of the cooked head. We also had green beans and noodles and they threw in a portion of sweet and sour pork which we hadn't ordered, or paid for, so bonus meal. I also felt it was very good value for money so there's that too. In fairness, as well as being plentiful, each dish was excellent in it's own way. Can't recommend highly enough. Support your local restaurants if you want them back when this is all over.

Yelp
Such an awesome Chinese place!! A little out of the way of the main attractions for tourists like myself- but well worth it. Food is served family style. There are so many options, especially vegetarian! I went with a small group of friends and we loved everything we ate! We had pork dumplings which came with a delicious glaze; ribeye- perfectly cooked on a bed of wild rice; vegetables super noodles; and a tofu dish that I did not try but was told was really great! The winner of everything we ate, though, was the vegetable super fried rice. It was simply the best fried rice I've ever had. It was so well flavored and slightly creamy- to die for!! We had to order more- that's how much my group loved it! The decor is funky and fun- Blade Runner-esque. There is lots of neon and each booth is decorated as if you are sitting in a subway car. There is also a bar upstairs that we did not get to stop into. Fantastic place, and a definite stop you should make if you get the chance!

Yelp
The food was just divine. We had the half duck and it was so tasty. The broth was yum, the legs were cooked to perfection and the duck pancakes were gorgeous! My only issue was that it took a while for us to order a drink - we decided we were going to have a cocktail before dinner, only problem was our broth came before our cocktails which wasn't great. Drink a warm broth at the same time as a cocktail is not something I would advise. Other than that it was absolutely great. The staff were very attentive and it was full which is great to see on a Wednesday night. I'll definitely be going back!!

Yelp
So, this may have been the best Chinese meal I've ever had. It wasn't cheap but god, was it worth it. Myself and my partner went here before a late gig to have a nice date meal, booking for 8:30 (oh, and book, its new but very busy) and would have happily stayed on for cocktails but had to run at 11 for the show, and that's where Hang Dai shines, it is such an unhurried experience, we have been talking about returning in January and making it our full evening, which you can do. There is a dj from 11 and a great cocktail menu. And on to the food. We were seated promptly with water and prawn crackers while the charming waiter explained the food. Its all served family style, with dishes arriving as soon as they are ready and for sharing. They do a full or half duck, which is served as 3 different dishes and has limited availability if you don't pre order, luckily we were able to get a half duck and it was divine. It comes firstly as a cup of broth with pickled veg, then the leg is served, and finally the breast, with pancakes, a unusual but delicious plum sauce and the usual veg, completely melt in the mouth. We also got the special rice, the best prawn toast ever (really stuffed with the prawn and packing a bit of a kick) scallops and veg. Everything was just excellent and we finished off with a cocktail each, which were very much on the better end of the scale. All in for the meal, a bottle of red and 2 cocktails it came to €120 before tip, but was more than worth it.

Yelp
I was so excited to finally try this place! We tried book a table for half 6 for the following day but the booking wasn't confirmed until 5pm that day so we already had a plan B in mind and really, we should have gone with plan B. We were seated at the bar in this neon haven and its buzzing vibe. So far so good. Our waitress served water and prawn crackers (something I dont care for so I didnt try them) and explained that the menu is 'family style' which means all mains are big portions for sharing and one main between two people and a starter is enough food. So we ordered prawn toast and the spicy ginger prawns as our main which we were warned is 'really really spicy'. The prawn toast was nice, spicy and flavoursome. The prawn main was... well, 4 in-shell prawns on a bed of celery. Bland, overcooked and how the hell are 4 prawns enough for two people as a main?? At 19Euro mind you. No side was served with that either. So we ordered another main which was the szechuan chicken which was half chicken, half chilis. Very spicy, very nice but also on the small side. So we ordered another main dish of fried rice which was ok but we finished the whole plate cause we were still hungry. Overall... I wouldn't go back. It's way to expensive for the portion sizes and the service was only okay. Shame really.
