Get ready for the annual gathering of manta rays in the Maldives - SilverKris

"Every year, starting in May and running until November, I note that Hanifaru Bay — at the heart of Baa Atoll in the Maldives — becomes the site for an immense gathering of manta rays. As many as 200 individuals, which can grow to as large as 7 m across, sweep across the bay in dramatic feeding chains, making it the largest concentration of mantas on earth. They’re drawn by the plankton-rich waters, a result of tropical krill being swept up to the surface of the Indian Ocean by the southwest monsoon currents and strong tides. The bay was declared a UNESCO World Biosphere Reserve in 2011 to minimise human impact, but visitors are still able to snorkel alongside these majestic beasts." - Nadia Haensel

Manta風暴不是每天都看得到，而且船會停在外圍，必須要游一段才看得到，10歲以下小朋友不太適合。最後，我們去的那一天，能見度非常差，也只見到5隻manta

เป็นแหล่งที่ไว้ดูแมนต้าที่สวยที่สุดที่ผมเคยไปมาครับส่วนจะเจอหรือไม่ต้องแล้วแต่ดวงผมมาแล้วสามวันมาจะเจอ แต่เห็นแค่ 20 ตัวนะครับอิจฉาคนที่เห็นทีนึงเป็นร้อยๆตัว แนะนำให้มาฤดูฝนในวันคืนจันทร์เพ็ญครับโอกาศเห็นจะเยอะขึ้นมาก ถ้ามาต้องระวังเรื่องแพลงตอนนะครับเพราะว่าแมนต้ามากินแพลงตอนถ้าลงไปอาจจะโดนแพลงตอนกัดได้ครับ แนะนำเตรียมยาแก้แพ้มาด้วยครับ

Es una excursión que venden en los hoteles, entonces Tiran cantidad turistas encima de las mantas, me parece un atropello a la fauna. El lugar está lleno de gente pataleando totalmente disruptivo y una falta de respeto a la naturaleza.
