Great place! Very cozy and great food! Prices are fair and portions were good. Hi igh recommend!

Google
The atmosphere was amazing. Real small town, country feel to it, intimate. The staff were super attentive, kind, and joyful. The food was slightly disappointing, but large portions. Way too many fries in one order, enough for 3 or 4 people, and weren't that tasty either. The burger was alright, but got soggy really quickly due to their brioche-style buns. I won't be going back I don't think.

PRO'S: Hank's Creekside Restaurant is a jewel in the Santa Rosa breakfast world. On our visit, we had a short wait for a table, then great coffee for the wife. She had eggs benedict with lox & I had the Brody omelette recommended by our server. All excellent. CON'S: Parking is challenging. SUMMARY: Hank's Creekside Restaurant is one of our best breakfast experiences. We will return.

We were warmly greeted when we arrived. It was a Saturday morning, and there was a full house - a really good sign. Our wait was short - less than 10 minutes. The breakfast menu was filled with great options and exceeded our expectations. Service was fast even though the restaurant was busy. Large portions. Tasty and satisfying. All for a fair price. A fantastic breakfast destination.

Google
My absolute favorite breakfast spot in Sonoma County! The food is always amazing, the staff is the sweetest, and the view is great!

Google
Everything we ordered for breakfast was delicious. Melissa took good care of us. We sat by one of the windows, which allowed us to the creek and greenery around it. We enjoyed everything about this place. It was clean, friendly, and a great time.

Google
Perfect breakfast spot! I've been here with my dear old father-in-law as well as with my teen. We all love the big portions and variety of options. The staff are all so welcoming and sweet. My son says that the corned beef hash was excellent. My FIL loves the homemade biscuits. I love that I can sub potatoes for an arugula salad.

Ryan Schwartz

Google
That's darn good! Chicken fried steak, super crispy hash browns. Scrambled eggs cooked perfectly. The bee's knees! Can't wait to come back. You've got a fan in me! And the price is right! $36 for two.

Yelp
This is my Fiance and my favorite breakfast place in Santa Rosa! We've been to almost all of them and this one consistently tops the list. They can get busy on the weekends so expect a little bit of a wait and their parking lot is tiny but people park next door or across the street all the time. Their menu is simple yet extensive, their coffee is always freshly ground and they keep your cup full. Our favorite dish is the sirloin patty with eggs and potteries. I'm it sure where they get their eggs but I always get their eggs over easy and their yolks are always bright orange! It always makes me happy and feel like they're really good quality eggs. They also have a big selection of sausages that I don't see offered at other places. I'm not a huge sausage person but I've tried them and really liked them. They also always have fresh fruit if you want to substitute your fries or get some on the side. We saw them cutting them all up one day, so it's definitely fresh! Their salsa is also one of our favorites it's just the right amount of spice and is also flavorful and refreshing. Their staff is also a huge highlight. They are so nice and recognized us everytime we go. Melissa usually takes care of us and she's always a delight! Overall highly recommended!

Yelp
Came here around 9:30 on a weekday and it was practically a full house. They don't have the biggest parking lot but we were able to snag the last spot. They are very family friend with lots of parties with small kids. I ordered the Brody omelet and added avacado and my husband got the chicken friend steak. Sorry in advance with the pictures. I got too hungry and started eating before I took pictures. Omelet was good. Good amount of bacon. Wasn't sure how I would have felt with the sour cream but it works. Chicken fried steak was ok. Felt the gravy was too thick and needed more on the steak. I loved how they generously butter, their toast. Was a big fan of their buttered sliced sourdough. It's nothing fancy but sometimes you just want the basics done well. The restaurant also has cool views of the creek nearby. Service was good but I feel like they could benefit from an extra waiter or waitress. Had to wait a bit to get our order taken. Overall a good local breakfast spot Overall 4.25/5

Yelp
YUMMY! Amazing little family owned business. It was a quick stop on a Thursday morning and the place was decently full for a random Thursday! If you come on the weekend I would say, expect a wait! It's small and intimate, but gives a good homey vibe. The food was really good and decently priced. The coffee KEPT flowing and was really yummy! I got the veggie omelette with turkey added 8/10! My man got the cheese omelette and added chicken apple sausage 7/10! We shared the French toast 9/10! Would definitely stop back by if we are in the area again!

Yelp
Small cafe but serving big flavor for breakfast! Usually a bit of a wait for a table, but worth the wait.
google avatar

Emeline T.

Yelp
Expect a wait here, especially during prime weekend brunch hours! We had a bit of a larger group of 5, so we had to wait about 40 minutes after arriving at 11AM on a Saturday, but the wait was honestly worth it. We were seated in the back by the windows which gave us a really nice view of the creek out back. Service was very friendly and efficient, and the ambiance was quite lively and a bit loud at peak hours. My boyfriend and I shared the biscuits and gravy with scrambled eggs and a stack of buttermilk pancakes. Other items our party enjoyed included the corned beef hash (nice and crispy), the cinnamon French toast, the veggie omelette, and a bagel with lox. Everyone really enjoyed the food! The pancakes definitely impressed me with their fluffy and moist texture (I sometimes find that restaurant pancakes can be dry). I can see why this place is busy and I'd love to come back for another comforting American style brunch meal in the future! One thing to note is that parking is VERY limited and the lot is small. Some of us had to park across the street.

Yelp
Before moving to Santa Rosa, we could only drop in on weekends when lines could get crazy long. But we live here now and dropped in on a Wednesday late morning, got immediately seated by a window with a Creekside view, and shared one of the large half pound burgers, and a salad between the two of us. Excellent service, beautiful view, fresh tasty food. Couldn't be more perfect! We didn't know when we arrived if we wanted brunch or lunch and we're delighted that we had time to choose what appealed after we were seated.

Yelp
Lovely homestyle restaurant situated right along the creek. Our breakfast entrees were all delicious. The servers were very friendly and attentive. Having an extended breakfast with the fam without being rushed out. Perfect. Will we return? For sure.

Yelp
Hanks is always friendly and delicious. My family and I come here often and it's been great Everytime.

Yelp
The food was prepared quickly and is very tasty!! We had breakfast here everyday that I was in town. If I return to this area Hank's is my "Go To"! Staff is great, big smiles, no limit on the great coffee, and just plain nice people!! You want to come here and just hang out. It's available for the entire family. It's not fancy but has a great view out the back windows. It's a log cabin feel and look. You may have to wait a few minutes but I think it's worth the wait!! Enjoy!!

Yelp
A friend recommended this spot for breakfast so I gave it a try. I ordered the Joe's Special, and my bf got the Chicken fried steak. Both were phenomenal and more than filling. We also got a short stack of hotcakes and they're by far the best and fluffiest pancakes I've ever had. I had some leftover and ate them for breakfast the next day, they were still amazing! The staff was friendly and attentive, if I'm ever in the area again, I'll most definitely come back.

Yelp
Food has been consistently amazing since I first came here 25 years ago. A staple in Sonoma county. I almost always get the California Benedict and add spinach, with the cottage fries extra crispy. My mouth is watering and I was just here yesterday Seating inside is surprisingly more than it appears from the outside. Expect a wait on weekends. Well worth the wait!!! During Covid they had outdoor seating which was a nice addition but with our without the outdoor seating, this place is worth every cent.

Yelp
It's almost embarrassing to admit that I've lived here for 10 years and this is my first visit to Hanks. It's quite a local institution. Long menu lots to choose from specializes in breakfast food but they have burgers and sandwiches and salads the list goes on and on. Excellent service even though it was quite full today which it seems to be often. I had the corned beef hash and two eggs. Eggs were cooked perfectly hash was good but a little salty for me. The homemade biscuit was fantastic. I will be back.

The Koolaid Man M.

Yelp
Everything about the restaurant is fine, the food is great, HOWEVER... the service was absolutely awful. my friends and I were denied seats because 2 people weren't with us. They had us wait outside for 25+ minute and still refused to seat us because they "didn't want to hold up tables". Absolutely ridiculous.

Yelp
Yes for I recommend this little family owned restaurant for Sunday brunch this is the place to go. I picked this place for my birthday breakfast brunch and was not disappointed at all. It is a busy place but did not wait long for our food and my French toast was phenomenal. Customer service was excellent the stuff is very attentive and professional. Definitely coming back to this diner. My rating 5 stars in food, service and detail.

Yelp
This was the place in Santa Rosa. We should've found first! Food was excellent. The service was excellent attitude of the service was excellent and it was a superb breakfast experience. They're cook, knows how to make an excellent milk, gravy, sausage, gravy, and the biscuits for the biscuits and gravy were light fluffy, and made daily. The French toast was excellent, and the eggs were done perfect. btw, their bathrooms were clean and well ventilated.

Yelp
Hank's Creekside Restaurant captures the homey feel of Sonoma County. Amazing staff, service and food.

Yelp
The food was great, the service was quick , we did have to wait about 15 minutes to be seated but it was worth it. The ambience comfortable with a homely atmosphere.

Yelp
This is one of the best brunch restaurants I've eaten at; been here a few times and the experience is always amazing. The service is always really great; my family and I are often helped by Stephanie who is always super happy and welcoming at the restaurant. The food is super super delicious! Their pricing is super reasonable, and each dish comes with a good serving size. Every bite is very tasty and they have diverse menu options for brunch. The restaurant has a beautiful wooden interior which creates a warm and cozy environment for its guests. It's good to keep in mind that there's typically a short wait since there is limited seating. Parking can also be slightly challenging since there's alap limited parking spots. Overall, Hank's is a great local brunch restaurant for anybody looking for a good meal in Sonoma County. I really recommend their place, and anybody should definitely check it out!

Sonja B.

Yelp
Always delicious. Always great service. Lovely view of creek if you can get a seat in the back. Service is always friendly and prompt once you are seated. Parking is limited and tight. If you don't mind the walk, park across the street in shopping center. The wait is worth it. I recommend the pancakes and leaving a tip for the kitchen on the wait out. Oh yes, and order biscuits to go.

Eli

Yelp
Refused to sit our party of 7, when 5 people were present. Has multiple tables open to seat us and refused. They had us wait outside for the rest of our table, who unfortunately got stuck in traffic. We ended up going somewhere else.

Yelp
Hank's is THE BEST!!! Every time I come into town, this is the first breakfast spot I go to. The waiters are amazing, the food is delicious, and the ambiance is unmatched. I would highly recommend this spot! (This is my first ever Yelp review... that's how passionately I feel about this restaurant)

Yelp
The breakfast at Hank's Creekside is delicious. So many yummy options to choose from. Service is excellent- love the staff there. Always making us feel welcome.

Yelp
Perfect all the way around the food was amazing! The parking lot is a little overwhelming as it's not very big and it's busy but everything else is perfect!
google avatar

Yelp
Just okay. I drive by Hank's everyday on my way to work so I finally decided to stop by today. We were greeted and sat quickly. The restaurant itself is very small on the inside, which isn't a big issue but I'm not sure if someone with a wheel chair or walker would be able to get around. Our server got our drink orders, dropped off the coffee and didn't ask if I needed cream which I had to wait for until the other server checked to see if we were ready to order. I will compliment the coffee served at Hanks, it is very tasty and if I am remember correctly it is local. I ordered the eggs Benedict with cottage fries. The eggs Benedict were just okay. I love hollandaise sauce and for whatever reason this had a weird sweet taste to it. The cottage fries were not my favorite. The onion overpowers the potatoes, which is a given. For how busy this place always is I definitely thought I was going to be blown away by this place and I was not.

Kitty P.

Yelp
Food was very good huge portions the stag was good alway check on your table the wait was not to long worth the wait
google avatar

Rowan M.

Yelp
The food was seasoned very well, everything was flavorful. It was like eating food my parents made when I was little. We went on a Sunday around 10:30am, so it was packed, and felt like the noise level was appropriate for the amount of people dining. Still only took 15 minutes to be seated. The staff are so friendly and welcoming, checking on us and refilling our drinks often. We will definitely be back!
google avatar

Yelp
Casual dining at its best. Small little diner with the family environment feeling. First time at this diner and was not disappointed at all with the customer service but most importantly the food. I had the pancakes with sausage and over easy eggs. My wife had the scrambled eggs with bacon and French toast that we of course had to share and it was delicious. Waitress checked on us throughout the whole time we were there and my coffee cup was never empty. For as busy as they were we did not wait long for our food to arrive, Definitely found my Sunday Morning breakfast spot, this is a must stop for brunch. Five stars for this awesome Diner, give it a try people,

phillip r.

Yelp
One of our favorite breakfast places. Friendly staff and great food. Best biscuits in town hands down! Never had a average meal Always top notch!

Mariah H.

Yelp
I've heard great things about Hank's but the wait is always so long. We got lucky recently and it did not disappoint. It was the perfect breakfast for a rainy day. The homey feel and kind service is just what I expect from a breakfast spot. I had the crab cake Benedict with hash browns and enjoyed every bite of it.
google avatar

Kathy H.

Yelp
Gotta say when you're in the mood for a satisfying meal, this is the place. Stopped in for lunch yesterday. The patty melt was perfect, The fries were overcooked and crispy, almost like matchsticks. The service was great and friendly. I think this is more of a breakfast place, as most of the folks around us were still enjoying breakfast. Large waffles, ample portions, steaming omelettes, you get the idea. The real deal.

Jonathon W.

Yelp
I got chicken fried steak. Absolutely perfect. And the eggs were EXACTLY over medium as I requested. And the cottage fries on point.
google avatar

Ryan K.

Yelp
Amazing service. Fantastic, corn beef and hash. Best crabcake Benedict I've ever had. Favorite breakfast joint in Sonoma county. Go there!
google avatar

Gary J.

Yelp
Move to this area about 8 weeks ago. Been searching for a replacement to my favorite breakfast place from which we moved (Silicon Valley). FOUND IT!!! Hank's gets 5 stars for their breakfast, service, ambiance. Love having breaks watching the creek flow, birds chirp... While it was crowded the flow moves right along, people didn't seem to linger, getting a table didn't take too long. I'll be a regular for sure.
google avatar

Marilyn K.

Yelp
If you take away the weak, flavorless coffee, you will find a great breakfast at Hank's! The homemade corned beef hash is the BOMB - salty, crunchy goodness. And the arugula salad side option instead of potatoes is a welcomed healthy option to the weight watching crowd (thank you). The omelette was loaded with ingredients-generous amounts. But don't drink the coffee. Find that elsewhere!
google avatar

Maribel S.

Yelp
This is my favorite go to local business. The food is yummy and service is usually pretty great. Parking is tight and limited, keep that in mind if you during peak times. I've had the California Benedict and Florentine Omelette, both equally delicious!!
google avatar

Estie S.

Yelp
This place was such a good find. Definitely ask for a seat right by the window so you have a pretty view of the river. The brunch menu has a great variety of omelette s, Benedict's, pancakes, and other egg dishes. They have a good balance of vegetarian and meat options which I also appreciated. One thing that you must get are their biscuits. They come with some of the egg dishes as a side but if your meal doesn't come with it, you have to order it on the side. The biscuits are massive, fluffy, and buttery. They were so delicious with some jam and really tied together the whole meal. (My lox and cream cheese omelette was also super yummy, I would definitely order it again).

Yelp
I remember going to Hank's about 20 years ago and really loving it, so when my mom asked if I'd like to go the other day I said "sure!" The service was great even though, like usual, it was ridiculously busy and loud. However, I was a little disappointed with my food. Everything was as described but the pancake was a little tough (chocolate chips were plentiful on the underside of the pancake). I got the Linda's Potatoes and wish there were actually more potatoes. It was more like Linda's mixed veggie plate. Eggs were cooked perfectly and coffee was ok. Overall my experience was "meh" and don't know that I'll actually go back.
google avatar

Adriana T.

Yelp
Unfortunately we didn't enjoy their coffee. Our food came out cold and incorrect :( first time experience wasn't the best.
google avatar

Maria M.

Yelp
My husband and I went here yesterday and it did not disappoint! They have a great outdoor area thats covered. We had the brick of cheese appetizer, the oxtail appetizer special, and the mushroom square pasta. Great flavors, great portions! The service was friendly and we can't wait to go back to try the pizza!

Jodi G.

Yelp
The food was really good but right above where I was eating was a very dirty vent and I think they need to do a deep cleaning of the place.

Kristen A.

Yelp
Small town feel and friendliness. Great breakfast with gigantic homemade biscuits. Hubby had the chili omelette which he thoroughly enjoyed. The avocado, tomato and cheddar omelette was just right. All topped off with excellent coffee.
google avatar

Trina B.

Yelp
What a delightful experience I had this morning. First time and I loved it. I've always wanted to check out Hank's but it's often hard to find parking... Our food was delicious, I got the crab cake Benedict and my mom got Joe's special. The crab cakes and hollandaise is ohhhh so good! I believe it's a special they have sometimes. Joe's special was tasty too. The service was so friendly. I loved our server and hostess. They were so both pleasant. We sat near the window and it was so beautiful to look out and see green everywhere. They are open 6am-2pm, so if you want a delicious breakfast served with a smile, head over to Hank's. You won't be disappointed. I highly recommend.

Yelp
It's been over nine years since my original review of Hank's Creekside and my life and the world has changed multiple times. I have moved seven times in the past 8 years. Every time, I had to find new places to dine and make new acquaintances with those working at each restaurant. Coming back to Santa Rosa is another full-circle and a chance to revisit some of my old favorites, like Hank's Creekside Restaurant. Hank's is open on Monday's, unlike many breakfast restaurants in the vicinity. They serve a number of different Eggs Benedict dishes---all of which I love. The option to have a small arugula salad in lieu of hash browns is great for those low-carbing it. My other go-to dish is their wonderful Huevos Rancheros. Recently, the black beans have been permanently replaced with pinto beans. I think it to be an improvement in flavor to their already delicious Huevos Rancheros. The Chicken Fried Steak with Gravy is excellent, and the coffee is delicious. A chilled metal creamer filled with fresh half-and-half is on every table. At first glance, one might think Hank's Creekside is a short-order breakfast diner. Yet, after one meal I think you'll agree this is an intimate casual family restaurant, or even a quaint romantic morning diner (which it is to me). When Santa Rosa has normal rainfall amounts during the year, there is a nice creek flowing just below the restaurant. My favorite tables are those along the windows facing the creek. Why this restaurant deserves five stars---is for their waitresses. Every restaurant, every business for that matter, is made by each employee and their genuine relationship with every customer. All the servers here are the sweetness, kindest people you'll meet. In particular, Stephanie, Krista, and Angela have gone out of their way to make sure I am well taken care of for each breakfast experience. The building is warm and rustic, the food tastes homemade and is comforting. Yet, what keeps me coming back time and again, are the warm smiles and friendliness of the servers at Hank's Creekside Restaurant. Update 0024 Feel.

Yelp
This place doesn't really need any introduction since it HAS been here for longer than I can remember. They always have great sausage, prices are better than at the other favorites in town, and they even have crab cakes Benedict on the menu. Service was great yesterday and very quick. Love this little place

Joan B.

Yelp
The service, the food. It's a cute location. The biscuits are huge. The country gravy is a little too thick for my liking. Husband loved it. We will definitely be back
google avatar

Yelp
Great service Ali our waitress is great and all the people that work here are 10 s. The food great great Cheeseburger with my eggs My wife had Corned beef hash to die for highly recommend

Kylie C.

Yelp
My partner and I love it here. Incredible customer service, attention to detail, speedy, delicious and super affordable. The wait staff always notices when we're out of something, even if my mouth is full. Lol
google avatar

Arlene R.

Yelp
So I typically do not finish all of my breakfast at any given time but today was an exception. I ordered the corned beef hash and eggs with a biscuit and I'm telling you now that I completely ate the whole thing! Corned beef hash cooked to perfection. My eggs were over easy like I requested and the biscuit is to die for. Our waitress continually checked on us as if we needed anything else or if we needed some more coffee. Very friendly place, friendly staff and quick service. It is definitely a hidden gem in Santa Rosa. My husband had eggs Florentine and he did not come up for air. All in all places small but the food is delicious! We will definitely go back without a doubt!

Yelp
So this review could've been a lot better, but taking everything into consideration, I have to give it a three star. Their food is really good and the hostess was extremely nice. The price is not bad for what you get. I had read another review, saying they were expensive, no, they are not. The only reason I have to give them a three star review was because our waitress was awful. I don't know if she did not like our table or what was going on but she was polite to everybody else around us except us. We would ask her for something she would not say a word just come back with whatever it is that we requested drop on table and leave. Not friendly, not welcoming.
