Yelp
Hank Burger was a huge saviour for my partner and I our first night in Paris. We got in around the afternoon, after a flight from the west coast of the US, and realized around 4 or 5pm that we did not have it in us to attend our original reservations elsewhere. We looked around for other options and found Hank Burger nearby. These days, I am not that impressed with vegan burgers as a general thing, but the Ronald burger at Hank hit the spot and the mark of the classic McD's profile. The fries we had inside, poutine-like, rounded it all out quite nicely. We brought this back as take away from the restaurant, which is small, but I will note that the staff working were really helpful and made us feel welcome and sorted in our dazed and confused state. There are plenty of vegan options in Paris, but if you need a quick and easy lunch or dinner Hank is a strong choice.

Yelp
Cute place! Got chocolate mousse and a vegan burger. The mousse was so smooth and not too sweet. Burger was good too. Bathroom was not very pleasant though.

Yelp
When I first visited Hank Burger over 4 years ago, I had a great experience. I decided to return this year only to find out that they switched from homemade veggie patties to Impossible burger. I was disappointed. They didn't even offer it as an option in their menu. There seemed to be some glitch in the ordering system that the burger I ordered took over 30 minutes. I wanted to give them another good recommendation but unfortunately, this last visit was an unhappy one.

Yelp
This was our first meal in Paris. Friendly staff, delicious burger and salad. I would definitely recommend.

Yelp
Food was great, but we were told that the AC was broken and that we had to dine in the heat. It was so hot and stuffy inside that we were unable to finish the food, but I really liked how my capitaine hank tasted! If I ever come back next time (when the AC is fully working), I would definitely give their nuggets a try.

Yelp
Fantastic vegan option in Paris. The employees were so kind and accommodating of my nut allergies. The day we visited it was terribly hot downstairs but tolerable upstairs. Try the fruit soda, you won't be sad. Also, have a nice karma ;-)

Yelp
I came here for dinner on a Sunday evening around 4:30 PM in December 2019. This Hank location is pretty convenient if you're already exploring the Le Marais area, and is a fairly short walk (under 10 minutes) from the Hôtel de Ville metro station (line 1). The menu is small; they have a few burger, side, and dessert options. The burger base is the same across the different burger flavors, unless you opt to upgrade to the more expensive Beyond Burger. A woman behind me who had apparently been here before was telling her family she liked the "Le Sergeant Pepper" burger, so I decided to get that. I also ordered potato wedges as a side. The burger was a very reasonable price at 8,50€; I felt the size- and quality-to-price ratio was good, especially for vegan food. In comparison, I would say the potatoes were overpriced at 3€, but I'm never going to get a burger without fries. (Also, I'm used to huge American portions so that likely plays into it.) My food came out very quickly and was so, so delicious. The Le Sergeant Pepper came with some sort of peppery vegan "cream cheese" and pickled onions, as well as a bit of lettuce. The "cream cheese" was super flavorful and tasty. I also liked the burger and found the texture to be good. It's not as convincing as an Impossible Burger and falls apart a bit more easily than a meat burger would, but I honestly think they did an impressive job making the vegetable burger "meaty." I've never had a Beyond Burger so can't speak to how that compares, but next time I'll probably stick with the house veggie burger, since I found it very satisfying. The potato wedges were great, definitely an essential part of any burger meal in my book. There is a small amount of seating on the ground floor but for the most part the dining area is upstairs, where there are lots of tables, mostly 2- and 4-seaters, although they can easily be pushed together to make bigger tables for larger groups. I found it to be very comfortable, although it sounded like some people felt it was too warm. Probably the heat was cranked up very high, as they'd cracked a window on a wintery, 30-something degree Farenheit day, but the seating area was still toasty. The staff are friendly and efficient and seem to speak English; there were plenty of other tourists dining here at the same time as me. The food doesn't take long to come out at all. There is free wifi, and the wifi password is displayed by the register so you don't even have to ask for it. I really enjoyed my meal and will definitely be back. Highly recommended if you want a quick, tasty, reasonably priced vegan meal in this part of Paris!

Yelp
I wasn't impressed with the food here. I ordered a Cocorico Burger with Fries. The fries lacked flavor and the burger was pretty bland aside from a special sauce in the burger. Maybe there are other items on their menu worth trying, but this wasn't it.

Yelp
This is a great great all vegan spot in Paris. Its sister restaurant in Paris is Hank Pizza. My husband and I absolutely loved this place. It was our favorite place to eat in Paris and we went back there twice while we were there. It's considered more of fast food place for a quick bite. You order at the counter and they call out your food when it's ready. There's a small amount of seating downstairs and upstairs. The seating is cozy, small and bench style and small stool type. The restaurant has a welcoming vibe once you walk in and it's a cute and cozy spot. The prices are great! Super affordable!! For a burger, 1 side and a drink it's only 13 euros. It's such a good deal. The size of the burger is perfect, not too big and not too small. The sides you can choose is either potato wedges or coleslaw salad. I ordered the BBQ burger with potato wedges. It tasted fresh made with great ingredients. The burger was tasty and delicious, it is one of the best vegan burgers I have ever had!!! The potatoes wedges were so good also! Tasty, crispy, just right! Great combo with the burger! Just wish I got more potato wedges though. They also have vegan desserts and sell wine or beer also. For 15 euros you can get a whole meal with dessert and a drink. You can't beat these prices. For the quality, taste and quickness of this place it's a win win for everyone. I strongly urge you to check this place out. It's really one of the best burger places out there. Paris you have a hidden gem here.

Yelp
Awesome burgers & vegan to boot! Never being people to turn away a veggie burger, Mr & I sought out Hank after enjoying the neighborhood that afternoon. La Rockeuse for me - I loved the creamy fig sauce! La Catcheuse for Mr - he's a huge mustard fan but admitted he liked mine better (so did I!) Paired with seasoned fries which were tender & tasty and 2 beers to wash it all down. Loved the attic-like upstairs and we scored a small table beside the window so we could gaze upon the street & all the passersby. Lots of students in the place - made for a fun vibe & delish burgers to boot! We're huge fans!

Yelp
Best vegan Burger I've ever had!!! Tasted so good, was really 'refreshing' and just delicious. Would come here every day if possible

Yelp
There are many vegan places to mosh at in Paris these days but sometimes you just crave a juicy burger! Absolutely adorable location. You can get a burger to go or eat sur place. Upstairs you can sit next to the window and people watch. They have the beyond meat burger which is absolutely scrumptious. You can pick different toppings and sauces. They also have some pretty dope cheese fries. Recommend 100%!!
google avatar

Justine K.

Yelp
Exceptionally good vegan burgers! They have their own party or the beyond burger so specify if you want the beyond (2 euros extra). There are 5 types of burgers you can order from- my group tried the pepper sauce and barbecue sauce (both excellent). Order fries! They were thick cut and truly a delicious accompaniment to the burger. My friend ordered the vegan cheese fries which were a home run! Just eat then before the cheese gets cold. Vegan cookies, brownies, & carrot cake for dessert options. The cookie was a little dry, but honestly just go for the burgers & fries Wish I had more photos but after the first bite I forgot to capture because of how tasty it was.

Yelp
Was very happy to find a vegan comfort food spot in the Marais where we could get a good-sized meal that filled us up after a lot of walking. The burgers and potato wedges are fantastic. Will definitely come back.

Yelp
Hard to be vegetarian in Paris... This place helps. Fantastic vegen burgers. Figs is great. Curry okay. Fluent English. Tons of character upstairs.

Yelp
Best vegan burger in Paris. Walking past and decided to share one with my sister. Went for the Le Double Smack. Spicy sauce and carmelized onions. Delicious.
google avatar

Yelp
Delicious burger and cheesy wedges! Small menu means food is ready fast. There is a cute seating area upstairs. The place was packed on the weekend. Would 100% recommend and return. Meal for two is around 26-30.

Yelp
While spending a weekend of my month-long study abroad trip in Paris, I decided to take a "risk" and visit Hank. As a matter of fact, I walked about four miles from my hostel to get a taste of this vegan burger joint. Let me tell you.. Not a single bone/joint in my body regretted that walk. This was easily the best meal I had in any of the four cities/countries I visited. Anyone, not just vegans, can respect the insanely flavorful creations that Hank produces. To top it off, the loft-style arrangement/ambiance (see photo) cannot be beat. From start to finish, this dining experience was a true pleasure. If you plan to spend any amount of time in Paris, fit Hank into your itinerary, folks! You won't regret it!

Yelp
I pretty much walked across Paris to get to this spot and it was well worth the trek! The place is quaint but cute. I had the veggie burger with bar-b-que sauce on it, I don't quite remember it's name on the menu. I ordered the meal the frites and a drink. The burger was so fresh. Every bite was tasty and flavorful. The frites where quite testy as well. I loved the upstairs sitting area. It's cozy and comfy. I was thankful for the WiFi. I'll definitely be back to Hank on my next visit to Paris
google avatar

Jennifer C.

Yelp
Hank has really hearty vegan burgers (I said hearty, not healthy, although they are loaded with veggies). The flavor combinations are unusual enough to be interesting but not so outlandish that they're strange. We tried about half their menu and loved it all. The fries are thick and seasoned well too. The place is small when you first walk in but there's a comfortable and quirky upstairs eating area.

Yelp
Yummmy! Vegan patties were delicious along with the vegan cheese & mayo! The menu was simple & easy to understand with my non-French speaking self, that and the gentleman helping me spoke English LoL. Everything is made to order so, it's fresh & hot. I had to try the carrot cake & im glad I did, it too is delicious. So stop by if in the area, next stop is Hanks Pizza!

Yelp
This was my first vegan stop in Paris that I had planned to visit during my trip. I ordered the L'alluméand the burger was decent. I did like the BBQ sauce, it was really good. My mom had the Tata Monique and we both agreed it was not the best burger. I guess I have been spoiled with all the vegan burgers in the states but I would come here again if I am back in Paris to try out another burger.

Yelp
My wife is a Vegan and I am a Vegetarian. Before we traveled to Paris we bookmarked some restaurants we wanted to visit during our trip and hank was one fo the restaurants we were most excited about. Our visit did not disappoint. Hank is honestly one of the few restaurants we have visited that lived up to the hype. The food was great and is well worth the visit. I bet some of my carnivore friends would love this place too.

Yelp
The family and I accidentally stumbled by here. I love the fact they have an all vegan menu specializing in burgers. The potato wedges were tasty and the burgers were nice and big. Now, as far as the taste? The burger patty didn't really tasted like anything and picked up whatever sauce and extra stuff that was added. It was almost like eating brown rice with other stuff in between wheat buns. The staffs spoke English and were somewhat helpful. They did do the laughing, rolling eyes, "these dumb tourist" thing on us when we were there trying to order. It was as if we were such inconveniences ordering they're 12 euro burger and fries. Hahaha! NO

Chanele R.

Yelp
I think I may have had a better impression of this place had I not visited on a very crowded day. The seating was cramped, and the upstairs was so suffocatingly hot that it was physically draining, despite being cold outside. I would recommend getting take out. As for the food, I was generally unimpressed. My burger was not very good. It was relatively flavorless mush stuffed in a bun. The potato wedges were good, and the vegan mayo was interesting and among the most "realistic" I've had. But the sides alone cannot carry a restaurant. I would have enjoyed a firmer, more flavorful burger. And definitely take out.

Yelp
Hank is my favorite burger place of all time now! Paris is full of many vegan restaurants with slightly overpriced menus, terrible French hours (closed everytime I'm hungry), but good sit-down food. Hank is a different spot where you can grab a 10 Euro burger at a fast-casual place, pick a nice seat on the 2nd floor to sit, and enjoy unlimited homemade vegenaise! We went here three times during our week trip because it was so fantastic. The top favorite was La Touriste which is a rotating special. At the time we ate it, it was a fig and rocket (arugula) burger that had the most amazing creamy mayo/fig sauce. The bread tastes freshly baked and the patty is perfect too. Try the combo to add the fries and cookie and you won't be disappointed. Grab a free pint of vegenaise to drink on the way home if you're into that too. I highly recommend staying la Marais or Bastille area and checking out Hank (which has amazing hour that don't stop in the middle of the day) and grabbing a coffee around the corner at Wild and Moon.

Yelp
There aren't a lot of vegan options in Paris, so I was really interested in trying this place when I found It on Yelp. My dad & I came in for lunch and it was packed with people so I had a feeling It must be really good. I had the I was just visiting Paris but my dad is living there. He liked this place so much that he's been back multiple times, even though he's a meat lover who eats a conventional diet. The furniture upstairs was cute but the seats were very uncomfortable. My lower back started to really hurt after about four minutes of sitting on the bench. It was also very, very warm up there. Other than that, our meal here was awesome and I highly recommend it to all plant-based eaters in Paris.

Yelp
Hank Burger Food**** We really enjoyed the burgers here. We ordered the L'allume and La Catcheuse. The burger was well made and consisted of many vegetables together. Sauces were interesting and ingredients went well together. We found out after the fact that you can also substiture their homemade burger for a beyond meat burger. We also order the potatoes which were good but nothing special- they satisfy your fry craving and taste healthier. Lastly, we rarely get dessert, but we couldn't resist one of their tempting desserts. Here they took the cake with their chocolate brownie! Absolutely delicious, and they even achieved a gooey melty inside - YUM. Service **** The cashier spoke English well and was helpful with menu questions. You place your order and then they call your name when it's ready over a loud speaker. Atmosphere *** The place is very cute, but it gets very busy here and the space, even though they have two floors, is very tight. General vibe is young hipster foodie. Price $

Yelp
Very good vegan burger! The staff spoke english and knew everything about the food. I took a burger meny with burger, potato wedges , softdrink and dessert. The burger was very tasty and they had vegan mayonnaise and ketchup, that you could fill up on your own. I liked especially the vegan mayonnaise! As a dessert I tok the carrot cake and it was delicious! This is not always the case when it comes to vegan cakes, but these guys really made a perfect carrot cake! When I'm in Paris the next time I would definitely stopp by Hank and have a burger meny again!

Yelp
Vegan heaven! I love Paris but it really is the land of the fromage & beurre and for someone that can't eat dairy eating out there can be a real hassle. But I'm so glad I found this gem thanks to other yelpers and feel the need to add my own glowing recommendation. There are 5 types of burger on offer, I had an amazingly tasty l'allume burger with BBQ sauce, potato wedges and a cookie for good measure (with no meat or dairy in sight!). Gluten free buns are an additional €2, and it looked like they were also offering pizzas now from the posters on the wall but I didn't see anyone eating one. It opens at midday but we got there at 1 and there was already a long queue out of the door. There is additional seating upstairs but it is limited and clearly popular so you may need to wait around for a seat during the lunch time rush.

Yelp
I am not vegan (though I was vegetariain for 10 years) -- but I would eat here every day! I took my kids to Hank vegan burger and we had a delicious meal. The burgers and fries were fantastic. The service was fast. The place is terrific - there is a super cute seating area upstairs with great ambiance, toilets, and free wifi and plugs if you want to stay and hang out for a while. I really love this place!!!

Yelp
We absolutely loved this place. For us it was like finding a port in the storm after a week in Paris - a city that prides itself on its foie gras, meats, gluten-filled pastries, cheeses, butter, more meats, and few if any fresh greens. The signature dish (and only dish, really) is the 8 Euro Hankburger, which is a secret-recipe veggie patty served on a roll* with red onions, pickles, tomatoes, salad greens, and melted vegan cheese. You order your Hankburger in any one of five styles: with coriander sauce and tortilla chips; with mustard sauce and alfalfa sprouts; with tomato basil sauce and olives; with smoked BBQ sauce and bell pepper; or the daily chef's special dubbed "La Touriste." From our visit in June 2016 we determined that you can't go wrong with any of the options. * Gluten free rolls are also available for two Euros more. For side dishes we tried their potato wedges (highly recommended, get a double order!) and cole slaw, and the meal was simply fantastic. The staff is friendly, happy, and willing to speak English as need be. Just don't expect table service. It is a self-service, find-your-own table kind of place, and I wish there was one around the corner right now.
google avatar

Yelp
This tiny place serves the best vegan burgers!! Find yourself a spot at one of the three tables or, when the weather is nice, enjoy your food in the park nearby. Choose a menu! Burger, fries and dessert. Everything is vegan and soooo good! I loved it. And the birdy logo is so my thing :-)
google avatar

Kara M.

Yelp
Whoa! You have to try this place! One of the best, if not, the best veggie burger I've ever had (keep in mind I live in NYC- there are SOOO many good options at home). Really tasty, really cute little spot in a great neighborhood- got the burger with fig

Yelp
Hooray for vegan food in Europe! This was one location that I knew I had to visit while on our trip to Europe. In fact, it was our first meal. The crew was multilingual and the menu was bilingual, making it easy to order. It's a smaller counter service restaurant, where you order at the counter and they call when your food is ready. The burgers we ordered we absolutely delicious I wish we had been in Paris longer so we could have returned to try the other burgers.
google avatar

Kathleen M.

Yelp
My husband had the burger and fries and really liked it. I tried it and it tasted good. The only thing I didn't like was when we got there they were getting a refridgerated shipment of the burger patties. So I guess they do not make them themselves.

Yelp
My wife and I are both vegans and just recently visited Paris for a few weeks. We found Hank through Yelp and are glad that we came to eat here! The restaurant is 100% vegan and the burgers here are pretty phenomenal. I don't usually care too much for vegan burgers, but I would definitely recommend this place for vegans visiting Paris. The fries were also super yummy too and they have free wi-fi which is great if you don't have an international plan and need to get on the internet to do some planning. The restaurant can get a a bit crowded during busy times and you might have trouble finding a seat upstairs, but we typically didn't have too much trouble finding a table. Hank also has another location just a few blocks away where you can get vegan pizza. If you're deciding between the two places, I would recommend coming here for the burger. If you're really craving a vegan pizza, I would recommend going to "Brasserie 2eme Art" instead. They have an AMAZING vegan pizza. Thanks Hank!
google avatar

Amy W.

Yelp
100% vegan. There are 5 choices of burgers, extra for gluten free buns, and potato wedges are good with and without vegan cheese. Staff speak English and it has English menu as well. Each burger is wrapped in a way that I have not seen anywhere else, only in Paris. I am not a huge fan of burger but I will definitely return to Hank for more.
google avatar

Marvin O.

Yelp
While we were in Paris France we ordered from this restaurant. We tried their pizza spot as well. The burger was delicious can't remember the name unfortunately but we appreciated the fact that they did deliver via Uber eats to our hotel. If you'd like to see some of the items we ordered find our video on YouTube titled "from Paris with love by the family o"

Yelp
Tried to take my mother to a vegan restaurant that was fully booked. Looked up vegan in the area and this came up. Really great burgers and fries. My only issue was that it wasn't too clean in here. The floors and eating areas weren't too clean. I even refused to get one of the plastic straws, as they were pretty dirty too. Even the waiter acknowledged it when I mentioned it. The burger tasted like a bean based burger with a great sauce w/ fresh tomatoes and lettuce and a soft bun. Definitely give it a try.
google avatar

Osama B.

Yelp
Big juicy, sloppy, messy veggie burgers and I mean that in a good way. Several variations on veggie burger. My main complaint is tight, uncomfortable seating and the day I was there, they were "out" of several items on the menu. No salad choices at all. Limited drink choices, but the burger was good. This is the Marais branch. Where you order is not particularly inviting, they need to pay a little more attention to the entrance and organization. You sit upstairs in very tight space.
google avatar

Lexi F.

Yelp
This place has a decent burger. The patty was tasty and the cheese that comes in it was my favorite!! I got the "petite" meal which came with potatoes and a drink. Approx. 15€ I chose the mustard burger and when I received it it was doused in mustard I couldn't enjoy it because it was messy and the mustard was closing up my throat lol other than that good burger. Don't choose the mustard choose it plain and they have the condiments on the side for you to include at your liking. :)
google avatar

Danny S.

Yelp
Really solid spot! Very good vegan burgers for a nice value. Enjoyed my dinner upstairs here quite a lot despite the lack of ventilation. The staff was very friendly and bilingual too.

Yelp
Took off one star because I wish they had more than just burgers! (and the location is fairly cramped so it's hard to get too comfortable). Please see my full review and photos on veega.co If you find yourself wandering around Paris (I highly recommend you do) make a turn down this side street and grab yourself a delicious vegan burger at Hank. Even with all my vegan research, I didn't know about Hank until a friend in London mentioned it to me. She had just been with her vegan friend and said it was delicious. It's an all vegan, quick service, burger joint near Notre Dame. It's very small and mainly serves take out (or "take away" as they call it there), but I still dined in at the small tables. I ordered a combo meal, Le Petit Menu because after walking all of Paris I felt I earned myself some fries, too. They offer about 4 or 5 different burger flavors combinations with the option to make the bun gluten-free and add vegan cheese. I chose the La Catcheuse burger with alfalfa sprouts and mustard sauce, with fries and a light, refreshing carbonated beverage I had never tried before called Bionade Fair-Cola. I was eating my lunch at 4pm so I wolfed this down, but that was also because it was so tasty! The sauce on the burger, a mustard vegan mayonnaise was creamy and savory. The bun was toasted and the patty was filling. I also liked the thick cut, organic, Belgian French Fries and the Homemade Vegan Mayonnaise available on each table, not that I needed that, but I wasn't holding back for this meal! I found enough willpower to skip dessert but they did have 3 options when I was there, a large chocolate chip cookie, a carrot cake, and the special of the day, a chocolate mousse.
google avatar

Rob S.

Yelp
Tasty, guilt-free burger. Even their cola is fair trade and organic! Worth the walk to get here.

Yelp
VEGAN BURGERS. I've been strangely on a burger craving since in Paris and spotted this on yelp with great reviews. Did not disappoint. Friendly service with English menu. Both hubs and I ordered the le grand menu with burger/ fries/dessert/drink for 15 euros. Deal. I had the fig sauce, hubs had the tomatoe sauce, we both loved our burgers. Moist, flavorful and filling. Like everyone else said, potatoe wedges were awesome. I loved my carrot cake and hubs enjoyed his choc chip Cookie. Cute quaint upstairs and food was ready quickly. Getting quite the vegan burger fix in Paris, I'm sure I'm going to go through withdrawals....

Brittany C.

Yelp
Like many other reviews have stated, Paris doesn't have a lot of vegan restaurants. Fortunately, for those of us on a plant-based diet, Hank is a wonderful option for us to eat at. It's a really tiny place, but the atmosphere is comfortable and cozy. I ordered the L'Allume burger with the Beyond Meat patty, as well as a side of fries, and everything was delicious! Also, the man who took our order at the counter was so, so sweet. Definitely recommend you stop in here if you're looking to enjoy some great vegan food.

Yelp
Just to tell you how good it was, we went 2 times in 2 days ( stayed 5 nights total in Paris then went 5 to Strasbourg and Colmar) when we came back to Paris we went there again!! It's very very good, the service is quick, and the paragons on the side were DELICIOUS! I am végétarien but everything there was 100% VEGAN which is a plus. Go there ! ( the barbecue burger is the most popular- It is the on in the pisture ) ;)

Yelp
If I had to eat only hamburgers for the rest of my life, since I am vegan I would probably try to live near Hank in Paris. Hank (short for Have A Nice Karma) is a vegan hamburger restaurant in the district of Le Marais in Paris. I got a tip from a person on twitter that I should try this place if I was looking for vegan burgers. My experience is that vegan/vegetarian hamburgers are often very bad, and that the chefs doing them are not really even trying to make them good. At least at most places where I have been. Sometimes the "burger" is a cold Portobello mushroom between two slices of bread. Other times it is a soft tasteless mess. There are of course places where they are good, like Loving Hut in Paris, also I had a good one at Hard Rock Café once. Hank is a pretty small place with maybe 8-10 seats. Table and chairs are mostly wooden and gives a rustic impression. At the back there is the counter where you can order from the menu. I choose "Le Petit Menu" which included a choice of burger from 4 alternatives, fries or salad and a choice of drink. The "Le Grand Menu" is the same but also contains a choice of dessert. The staff were very nice and service minded. Even though we had some trouble deciding on what to have, we never felt stressed, and we got help translating the things on the menu we didn't understand. The menu was in french and I just know a few words in the language. I went with the l'Allumé burger, which comes with smoked barbecue sauce and red pepper. The place was almost full when we came there, so it was a little bit tight to sit there and eat. But it was really no problem. While waiting for the food we could use their free WiFi for checking the latest on our smartphones. I was really pleasantly surprised by the taste and texture of the burger and the bread when I got it. It was the best vegan burger that I've tasted so far. I had to control myself to not eat too fast. The fries with the vegan mayonnaise dip was also very good. I will for sure visit Hank again the next time I am in Paris! And could highly recommend it for both vegans and non-vegans
