Hann River Roadhouse

I couldn't ask for more down to earth and helpful staff. We were delayed getting in and they welcomed us after hours and made sure we were all set up. ( I did call ahead to let them know) I don't have the kids with me this trip and will need to bring them. They have a playground, pool, great gardens and lots of wildlife. Considering how remote this is the prices are very reasonable ($8 for a beer, $5 for a 500m coke,) Cabins are very clean and air-conditioning! Love that! Make sure if you are heading north to pop in for a cool drink and a bite to support these remote businesses.

Hahn River Roadhouse what a little gem!!||You must stop here on your way up/ down The Tip journey.||Gorgeous camp ground with green sites, even this late in the season. Plenty of shade.||Loads of quirks to keep everyone entertained!! ||Children's playground the best we have seen up north, brand new shipping container pool, amazing hospitality and cold beers!!||We were dust and heat weary, pulled in at 3pm and were so grateful we did. The shipping container pool revived us all and makes an incredible point of differentiation and the entire family happy. ||Lots of different animals. Quirky use of local product for decoration and/or useful purpose.||Had dinner, generous portions, well cooked.

Hard decisions last night off the Hann River Roadhouse menu... everything coming out of the kitchen looked so good! If you're heading up the Cape make sure you stop in and grab something, and of course, share some of your crunchy yummy chippies with the resident pony Shadow!! 😊

Has all the necessary things to prepare you for your trip to The Tip and to store your caravan. Both powered and unpowered, kids playground, food and drink and fuel. Staff are friendly and helpful. The Geese are funny and the river apparently has a 5m resident salty, so be mindful!

The rooms are clean, air-conditioning and a bed, nothing else. Relatively cheap. We did not get to see the infamous emu, but we did get to see Wallabies being fed and that was very nice to see. Generator was running the whole night very close to our rooms. Wi-Fi was part of the package but only really worked close to the restaurant.

Conveniently located on way to the northern tip of Australia. Options around here are extremely limited. Hann river offers extremely basic accommodation. On the plus side, service is friendly and it's conveniently located on the road up north. Wallaby feeding is also a nice touch. Airconditioned rooms offer a bed and that's pretty much it. But it's clean and relatively cheap. They claim to offer wifi but was only available around the restaurant. Generator also runs all night close to rooms.

Huge thanks to the staff at the roadhouse. Found a problem with my shock absorber while stopped there and approached staff for some assistance. They came out without any worries or complaints and helped to allow me to continue. He then refused to accept any payment for his time. Highly recommend and the staff were great.

Totally rate this place! Powered sites. Toilets and hot showers available in individual cubicles not like a toilet block where everything is side by side. Stafff are very friendly and helpful. Meals are a good size, tasted great. Diesel and unleaded 95 onsite.
