Chef Douglas Kim’s Grub Street Diet

"A Korean supermarket in Fort Lee that felt noticeably less crowded and more 'civilized' than larger supermarkets during the early pandemic panic; it had limited bottled-water options (only premium brands like Evian and Fiji), and the chef paid about $35 for a box of water there." - Chris Crowley

Like most korean markets, it is more on the expensive side considering the tariffs that's recently imposed. But they do have very authentic and SK local ingredients. Inside the market you can find a small food court and a soondae (순대) stand as well as bunggeopang (붕어빵) stand. Most accept only cash but the food court accepts credit cards. Plenty of FREE parking outside the market.

Hannam Mart in Fort Lee is a gem for anyone who loves fresh ingredients, Korean flavors, and a well-organized shopping experience. From the moment you walk in, the produce section greets you with vibrant fruits and vegetables that are clearly well cared for. The seafood counter is impressively fresh, and the variety of marinated meats makes dinner planning feel effortless. What really stands out is the selection — not just Korean staples, but a curated mix of Asian groceries, snacks, and specialty items you won’t find in typical supermarkets. The store is clean, well-lit, and easy to navigate, even during busy hours. Staff are friendly and quick to help, whether you’re hunting down a specific brand of gochujang or just need a cart. Bonus points for the in-store bakery and ready-to-eat meals — perfect for grabbing something delicious on the go. Whether you're stocking up for a family dinner or just browsing for inspiration, Hannam Mart makes grocery shopping feel like a treat.

Google
Very authentic yet big Korean market with everything from seafood to fruits. I think they have a great selection. The staff is also very helpful when you have questions and they are happy to assist you. The prices seemed reasonable but a bit more than 99 Ranch. I took a star off only because I think they can improve the organization of the stalls and keep some areas a bit cleaner and maybe include English translations for some of the items that had only Korean explanation.

Hannam Chain was founded in 1988 in Los Angeles, California, during a period when the Korean-American population in Southern California was expanding rapidly. Many Korean immigrants sought familiar ingredients and foods that were difficult to find in mainstream American grocery stores at the time. Hannam Chain stepped in to meet this need by importing Korean products and providing a place where customers could access authentic Korean food, snacks, and household goods.

Google
04/03/22 I think it really has more authentic Korean food and products. From its customers, 90% are Koreans... It can't go wrong if you are looking for Korean goods... Very nice Korean supper market. Store layout is pretty good. Personally, I like it better than Hmart or Lotte. The items here are even more Korean than the above two. Shopping environment is pretty good, selections are also good. Fresh fruits and vegetables department is also an attraction... A lot of sales items can be found often.... A+

Google
I was shopping for dinner and bought some fresh fish along with frozen items. Since they could leak or thaw on the way home, I picked up a few extra plastic bags to keep things clean and organized. At checkout, however, a staff member suddenly rushed over and told me I couldn’t take the bags—complaining loudly in front of other customers. It was very unpleasant and unnecessary. Another cashier had no problem with me using the bags, which makes the inconsistency even more confusing. For customers who are spending money and trying to handle groceries responsibly, this kind of treatment feels rude and unprofessional. Instead of scolding, simply charging for the bags would have been reasonable. Very disappointing experience.

Google
Apparently, this store runs on its own private time zone. I showed up a full 30 minutes before the posted closing time of 10:00 p.m., but one of the staff told me to go check out at 9:50 p.m. When I asked what time they actually close, he confidently said, “We close at 9:50.” Interesting—because the big sign on the door still says 10:00 p.m. If they’re going to close whenever they feel like it, maybe they should hang a new sign that says “We close whenever we’re tired.”

Google
It’s a super-Hmart like Korean supermarket with hot meal options, bakery and bazaar stores. I like their blood sausage stand and ready-made Korean meals. It locates in a plaza with lots of parking, stores, cafe and restaurants. I highly recommend this place.

Yelp
My one and only go to soondae place. This is the best soondae and the only one I'll get. It's from Ma Young Ae Soon Dae inside Han Nam Korean Mart. I always eat it with tteokbokki and odengguk. It's my winter soul food If you're new to soondae or have been looking for a good one, this is the place. A solid 10/10. A lot of other spots don't taste great, but this one tastes legit just like the street food stands I tried in Korea.
google avatar

Yuedong L.

Yelp
This review is purely for the bakery: Selection is not to the level of 85 degrees or Paris Baguette, but the prices reflect that. My spouse and I ordered: 1. Red bean bread 2. Almond croissant For the price, I would rather go just a little bit more (because let's be honest, if you're wasting these bakeries everyday that's great if that's your prerogative, but health wise... prob not good choice) - I would much rather pay a little bit more and get a red bean or croissant from Paris Baguette, 85 Degrees, or even some of the hispanic bakeries around the area. Service: No complaints. It's purely transactional Ambiance: It's located in their eating area, so if you want the utility for your Korean - Asian eateries E.G. bul go go lunch, or son tofu in between shopping - there is that here. Prices are in line with E.G. H-Mart eating centers.

Yelp
Not the most glamorous or trendy market but it has the basics and most things are pretty affordable. There is a Korean bakery, food court, catering, small homes appliance, and beauty shop. I use to frequent this grocery when it first opened but as life got busy we moved for towards delivery for our grocery needs. It's always fun to walk around the store when we have time and see all the new and sale items. They have some really good deals compared to other Korean markets in the area. We also loved to eat at their food court whenever we come to get groceries. Lots of yummy food, great portions and very good value. It's located in a strip mall next to CVS and there is ample parking.
google avatar

Victor H.

Yelp
Quite big inside and has wide variety of different Korean foods, snacks, houseware and more. There is a small food court inside. There is shared parking space with CVS and other stores in this strip/outlet. Pricing in this supermarket seems a bit pricier than HMart in Fort Lee and some stuff are not labelled in English but in Korean, seems like its trying to give the local Korean feeling to its customers

Yelp
My friends said next time I go to the Korean spa near here I HAD to drop by this Korean market. She was most excited about the donuts there in the little bakery - legit she was right, it's sooo good. Little bit of cream inside but not too sweet. But she didn't mention any of the other amazing stuff in here! They have a great prepared food section. With hold and cold options. And they were priced quite reasonably. They also had Korean blood sausage and thanks yelpers for letting me know theirs is likely the best in the tri state area, I've never tried other ones but this was delish! And the food court next to the bakery! That huge black bean noodle with seafood was like $14 and 2 of us couldn't finish it! lol It was tasty, great price and large portions. Would highly recommend a stop by!

Jimin L.

Yelp
I found a staple inside my spicy squid stir-fry from their food court while eating. I almost bit into it, and it could have caused a serious injury if I hadn't noticed it in time. This was an extremely dangerous and shocking experience. I called the restaurant right away. At first, they apologized, but later they called back and suggested that the staple might have fallen in when I opened the paper bag. That's completely unreasonable. the food container was sealed with a lid, and the staple was found inside the food, not on top. There was no way it could have come from me. This kind of carelessness in handling food is unacceptable. Mistakes can happen, but trying to shift the blame onto the customer instead of taking responsibility is truly disappointing.

Yelp
This Supermarket is much more bigger on the inside than it looks outside. The selection has a wide variety of different Korean foods, snacks, houseware and more. Some of the snacks or certain goods we see in HanNam mart can be ones you don't see in other Asian supermarkets and is worth the exploring in the aisles. There is a small food court inside too. When you're driving by on the highway, you need to slow down or you might miss the entrance. Located in a big shopping center with other stores, plenty of parking.
google avatar

Winny L.

Yelp
Local Asian supermarket in Fort Lee that is quite busy. Shared parking lot with other stores in the area. Prices are reasonable compared to shopping at other asian supermarkets and can find almost anything you need without making a special trip to Chinatown. They do have ready cooked foods to purchase as well as regular grocery needs. Plenty of small shops as well inside while shopping and eateries to purchase food from.

Yelp
HanNam Mart is a Korean grocery store that I always stop by when I'm in New Jersey. Fruits are always fresh and if you go all the way to the back, you can pick up prepared meals/food to "snack" during your drive. I loved the mammoth sized dumplings, kimbap, and pork katsu. There's also a cafe inside. Unfortunately, the service was a bit slow since they were taking care of everyone else's coffee order before they finally made ours even though we had ordered first. The products they sell is decently priced and much more affordable than NYC. Luckily for me, it hasn't been too crowded when I visit. Service is great and I can see that it can be very busy inside. I was fortunate enough to find parking whenever I visit in the lot. The parking spaces are a bit tight but if it's something you don't mind, you'll be fine. The other customers are friendly and will even offer to take your shopping cart so they can go shopping.

Yelp
Good deals every now and then like the BTS find. But overall, this place is pricier than HMart. What this biz does better than HMart is their dduk (traditional Korean rice cake) section in the back. You pay for those in that back area. They also offer superior quality and prepared beef. I highly recommend getting your beef for your next KBBQ partay from here! You're welcome!! Yum!!

Yelp
This is the spot for your Asian market needs. It has it all, but I mainly come here for the novelty items and rare snacks to feed my cravings. They have numerous locations, but this one seems to be the biggest around. Plenty of parking with a huge lot. Located off of the highway so do not drive too fast or you'll miss the exit.
google avatar

Ka C.

Yelp
This is a giant bustling Korean mart in the middle of Fort Lee. Always crowded, but you get cheaper prices than NYC H-marts, so if you are buying a ton of stuff, then it is worth the tolls to come. However, the groceries is not the point of this review. Tucked inside this mart is a standalone soondae stand that arguably sells THE best soondae in (probably) the tristate area. A medium can feed 2-3 people and a large can feed 4-5. They really do make it fresh here and it's chopped up when you order, not prepackaged like some places (although you can buy prepackaged ones elsewhere in the mart if you are in a rush.) If you are in the area, buy an extra large for $20 and freeze the leftovers. Worth making the trip from New York just for the soondae.

grace j.

Yelp
Avoid the sundae stall in this store. Been here twice and the old ahjjusi that works in the stall screams and YELLS at me to hurry up and order in Korean every time I visit. Extremely rude for no reason. Are we not allowed to look at the menu first to decide what to get?? The ahjumma that works in there with him is nice though.

Yelp
Hannam is another Korean brand marts along with H-mart & Hanyang (why all with the initial H ... I wonder). Hannam is quite known for its affordable fruits and vegetable. I always get the whole tray of Fuji apples ($14.99) which are soooo good. We don't get "kimchi" from Hannam since we have a specific brand of preference, but other than that, this is where we do our grocery shopping after which we pick up fried chicken from Yam Yam across from Wendy's.
google avatar

Aya H.

Yelp
Always love going to the back for the pre made food. Our fav is the spicy chicken and potato stew :)
google avatar

Michelle T.

Yelp
Your go to Ma & Pa type of Korean supermarket. Soondae and pork lovers that scare people away but taste so delicious ? How about the dessert station with fish cakes, etc. ooooo don't forget authentic home cooking style Korean dishes all for $10 and less. They even have a side dish seafood marinated thing going on. Sometimes you can catch some really good discounted produce and meats! One of my favorite is there discounted beef whenever you spot that manager special. Also, kbbq is cheaper than your high end Korean chain supermarkets. You know it's worth it when all your locals come here !
google avatar

Mel T.

Yelp
The produce section is chaotic. You need to know exactly what you are buying or else you will get trampled. There is no time for perusing in that section. The rest of the supermarket seemed fine though (I guess because everyone hangs out in the produce area). I can't speak for the meat and seafood departments but at least the household item section is cheaper than H-Mart. Kimchi is cheaper here too. I bought a giant bucket of it for $13. But, I would say H-Mart is probably the better chain overall.

Jenny D.

Yelp
Good deals and fresh veggies and fruits. my favorite is the Soondae (blood sausage) stand toward the back of the store. It is the best that i have tasted and I treat myself to it from time to time. They have a nice section for drinkable vinegar (my new found obsession). They have good sales and their products are not overpriced.
google avatar

Yelp
First of all they are EXTREMELY RUDE. They said they close at 11pm and we walked in at 10:20pm for grabbing a quick snack. The hispanic employee was LITERALLY CURSING AT US for walking in that time. My boyfriend ofc got upset and talked back to him and he told us to shop asap because they were almost closing down. He wasnt very a good English speaker and I didnt want to get in a big trouble from arguing so I told my boyfriend to lets just ignore and shop fast. We bought these korean konjac jelly as a snack and went to cashier. My boyfriend was complaining how rude the hispanic guy was to the cashier and she didnt seem to care at all. No apology at all. We got home and tried the jelly which tasted good but I noticed darkness at the opening and saw this disgusting black jelly. I searched google and konjac jelly with apple flavor shouldnt be in black color at all. I was soooooo grossed out by their attitude and disgusting food quality. I dont know how they keep their business with this horrible service.

Yelp
very spacious market with neat shelves. however, it has a more austere vibe than hmart and I felt the same as when I stepped into a market in Asia a while back. It has everything you are might be looking for and has a bakery and some snack areas that I have yet explore in depth. nice alternative to hmart.

Yelp
I've been shopping at this grocery store for years. I like this grocery store because it is right across the GW into jersey and sometimes if we need some groceries we just pop right in grab what we need and pop right out and head on home. When you walk in there is a restaurant in the right. Then there is a nice fruit section right in front of you. We usually get the Korean pears because they are big and juicy. The prices on them weren't bad at all depending on which brand you buy. We got a 6 pack of pears for like 12 bucks which is decent. They also sell persimmon as well so if your into those you can get them here. In the back you can also get cooked food. You can get some nice Korean side dishes here to complement your dinner. They also have some good selection of veggies and meats. Definitely you can get your Korean bbq meats here as well. Love this place and we will frequent this place for years to come.

Yelp
***TLDR DONT SHOP HERE. GO TO 99 RANCH IN HACKENSACK.*** This is one of those stores where nothing ever rings up the same price as its listed on the shelf. I got so tired of being ripped off at the register that I started preemptively correcting the cashier every time something rang up incorrectly. The staff here is very gruff to begin with....so of course they hate me for calling them out and then I'm annoyed that I can never just have a normal check out experience here. I gave this place a few tries but ultimately I don't like having to police the cashier because none of the sale items ever ring up as sale, or get treated like the asshole when I point out the inconsistencies. ***TLDR DONT SHOP HERE. GO TO 99 RANCH IN HACKENSACK.***
google avatar

Chris L.

Yelp
I don't often come here for grocery but I am around I pick up seasonal fruits and few korean items that I can't get at a typical shoprite or chinese grocery. I usually get banana milk and korean snacks. There's usually someone preparing fruits for sample which I've only noticed at Korean markets. There is a food vendor and a bakery vendor near the entrance. The food from the food vendor is very affordable and hits the spot. I like the baked good from the bakery but Boo Boo told me its not as good as Paris baguette or tour le tous.
google avatar

Jeff K.

Yelp
Typical Korean supermarket. Located in a strip mall of sorts, right off Rt. 46 east in Fort Lee. They have a big parking lot, they share with the other businesses in the strip mall. The size of this supermarket is relatively big. It's very similar in layout to Hmart supermarkets, which is the more well known Korean supermarket, in this area. Han Nam has most of what your looking for, in terms of Korean items. They have produce, meats, ramen, snacks, ice cream, and veggies. They also have some American items, such as soda, breakfast cereal, and juices/milk. The main reason I come here, instead of going to Hmart, is that the quality of the kalbi (korean ribs), is higher. They have a marinated kalbi station located near the meat shelves, towards the back of the store. Good alternative to Hmart, because of the kalbi. Everything else is pretty much the same, in both items they stock and price.
google avatar

Alex Y.

Yelp
Nice Korean market with a food court attached. Not a big food court person, so the review is for the grocery products only. I really like the fish and meat products here. Compared to the other chain (that starts with an H...), the fish/seafood section is smaller, but quality is really quite good and pretty much all of the basic items are covered. The meat section is overwhelmingly large though and I can find just about everything I need here. Also, the prepped food vendor's product is much better as well. I have tried a few different items and all of them were all good. Would recommend the mandoo and soondae from that place.

Yelp
Mgmt at Hannam is unethical. This past Wednesday, we went to our usual H Mart Fort Lee to buy groceries. It was closed because Hurricane Isaias had knocked out power to the store. We ended going to Hannam, our first ever visit. We noticed that certain areas of the refrigerated section were cordoned off. We shopped from the open refrigerated areas. Unfortunately, only until we got home did we discover that the items we purchased were already spoiled including two cartons of soy milk and a bag of bean sprouts. Hannam should not have been selling food that spoiled when the electricity went out. In fact, it's probably illegal to do so. Hannam should've tossed out all its refrigerated food. Instead, it chose to sell spoiled food. Is this the kind of store you want to shop from? I will never go back.

Yelp
This is a good, large Korean store that competes with H-Mart. Has all the stuff that H-Mart has plus a small food court. We go here because it's easier for us to access than the H-Mart in Ridgefield Park. Also less busy: they probably don't have as much stuff as the flagship H-Mart but it's big enough for us and bigger than most other H-Marts. They have a nice packaged Korean food section with kimbap and fried stuff where you have to pay separately. Finding this place when you drive north on Route 46/US Hwy 1 was always a problem before as GPS won't tell you when to make a left. The store is on your left and you have to make that left turn from the left lane. After the turn, you have to go past Extra Space Storage and Wendy's on your right all the way down on Oakdene Avenue, which will bring you to the front of the store. From traveling south on Route 46, no confusion at all.
google avatar

Jenny I.

Yelp
I know Hannam is technically in Fort Lee, but my gut says it's in Pal Park. I'm just so glad that there is a quality Korean supermarket so close to home (authentic k-town, represent!!). The produce is, most of the time, fresh and, most of the time, at a great price. There are such a wide and varying range of authentic Korean products that it's like were actually living in a Korean village in Korea. I also love that the have a fantastic cafeteria and soondae station!!! Hannam has a loyalty program where members receive $10 after buying $1,000 of products over time. I know $1,000 sounds like a lot and $10 is only a 1% reward, but for those whose FAMILY grocery shops here all the forking :) time, it's a pretty sweet deal.

Yelp
Han Nam Chain is a very adequate New Jersey Korean supermarket. We came here a couple weeks ago and then again this past Labor Day after a trip to H Mart and Mitsuwa both of which are more expensive for Asian staples like rice and noodles. What distinguishes this market from the others also is selection. The short ribs are fresher and cheaper. HNC has become a regular stopover if we want tender short ribs to make kalbi. A new cafe just opened serving rice bowls sushi and appetizers! HNC doesn't compare though to the food court at Mitsuwa (which is worth the trip across the river and toll to have a bowl of Santouka ramen!). All in all, HNC is a good Asian supermarket but not necessarily for lunch. You can say you look around at Mitsuwa and H-Mart but shop at Han Nam Chain!
google avatar

YaYaNom52 0.

Yelp
I love their selections of items, they have a lot of things that Hmart does not have. And cooked food section is cheap and delicious!
google avatar

Rachel L.

Yelp
The freshness of the produce is a hit or a miss. Other than the fresh produce, pretty reliable grocery store to get Korean processed/packaged goodies. This place could be much cleaner.
google avatar

Elise H.

Yelp
This is strictly for the fresh take out food! We stopped here for a quick lunch. In the back of the market, there are tables of freshly prepared Korean food (they were making mandoo and pajeon on premises!) and packaged meals. We got two lunch box sets ($7.99 each): donkatsu and marinated fish. Each came with banchan, kimbap, and complimentary rice. THEY WERE DELICIOUS. The banchan were all well seasoned and well-prepared. The fish was incredibly tender and moist and the marinade complemented the meat and vegetables really well to provide a slightly spicy, yet fresh flavor. They give you huge portions for what you pay- $7.99 for two meals worth of well prepared delicious Korean food! This place is easily my new go to spot for Korean food! Would highly recommend for anyone in the area!
google avatar

Virginia Y.

Yelp
The cheapest uni I've seen in ALL supermarkets, $7.99 for a whole platter. Can't get better than that! It's fresh california uni too !!!!! If that doesn't deserve 5 stars than something's wrong with you. P.S. The store is loaded with free samples in every section, bon appetite while you shop! Prices are slightly better than hmart.
google avatar

Nga C.

Yelp
This place is awesome! So much better and cheaper then H-Mart and the selection is good. My friend and I accidentally spotted this place while driving and decided to check it out. You'll see a sign out front but note that the market is located all the way in the back part, on the other side of the building. Everything was well organized and their seafood were well priced. So much so that I ended up getting 6 lbs of shrimp. Lol, can you tell I'm about to have a shrimp fiesta! If you're around this area and need to go grocery shopping then this is a place is one not to be missed. I even saw live abalones for $6 each! Yeah, it's a price you can't beat, let along to even see an abalone, at any other markets nearby.
google avatar

Joe J.

Yelp
I love Hannam. Everything is well organized and I like their selections. I always visit when I'm around the area to pick up Korean snacks.
google avatar

Rebecca S.

Yelp
I remember when H Mart (formerly Han Ah Reum) was the only Korean supermarket in the game. Not anymore! Hannam has definitely improved a ton since they first opened. The layout of the store has improved and they do a good job of keeping everything well stocked. The recently reopened food counter is a huge draw for me and my family. It's affordable, quick and tasty. When we don't feel like cooking, we can take a quick trip to Hannam for some dinner and get grocery shopping done afterwards. Who doesn't love a one stop shop. The location isn't so great. It's in a shopping plaza but it's not very visible from major roads. I think this has hurt business for them and the other shops in the mall in the past. Things seem to have been picking up recently though. It's certainly not as done and as popular up as H Mart but that can be a good thing (less crowds). What they lack in presentation, they make up for in price and quality.
google avatar

Jiho S.

Yelp
My favorite grocery store in Fort Lee simply because hands down larger and cleaner than H Mart. Access is annoying due to its location off the highway but parking is plenty and they have a solid food court. To be honest all these grocery stores sell the same crap, but hannam is just nice and large so it fits me fine.
google avatar

Isaiah C.

Yelp
Great selection of fruits and seafood. One thing I love is actually their boonshik (mini food market) to the right after you enter. They have some really good food at a price you can't beat! They have a section for hotpot which is totally convenient especially since I frequent the meal about once a week. It is an easy restock. They have flash sales almost every weekend (not sure about weekdays) so keep your ears peeled for the mega phone announcements (they are done in korean) They also have A LOT of food samples for those of you that make use of this opportunity to enjoy a nice "prefix meal"
google avatar

Douglas L.

Yelp
My immediate korean grocery shopping. Has little less products than hmart but it is good enough. Obviously a big price war in supermarkets so you need to go to other supermarkets for better pricings. Sometime it is cheaper here.
google avatar

Ruth A.

Yelp
This isn't a review for their grocery experience but for their red bean fish-shaped pastry called Bungeoppang you can buy inside. It's $2 cash, and so good! They sell them by the meat section in a little stand. It's crispy on the outside and perfectly warm and gooey on the inside. I think Han Nam's are better and cheaper than the ones other korean stores and cafes sell them in the area. They warm them up for you real quick when you order! If you like Bungeoppangs, you need to try theirs!

Lisa L.

Yelp
The store probably going to be closed, nobody there speak English. And many set-ups and tricks with the "Cash" area... they pretend they do not speak English, and ask for money without change.... so...disappointed at the shopping experience
google avatar

Emile L.

Yelp
Very good Korean and Asian supermarket if you are Asian. The fish monger basically refused to wait on me and dismissed me numerous times and pointed at the prepackaged fish while waiting on other Asian customers. After an argument and after he waited on the other customers he finally decided to serve me. Really?
google avatar

Dennie C.

Yelp
If you live in Leonia, Fort Lee area you are probably familiar with H Mart or Shop Rite but you might not necessarily know about Han Nam because they're not in the most accessible and visible location. It's a shame because Han Nam has a really good selection of fresh fruits, vegetables, meats and fish at great prices and maybe a bit cheaper than H-Mart. Han Nam however loses to H-Mart in terms of food court as H-Mart (one if Ridgefield, not Fort Lee) has an excellent food court but Han Nam's really isn't worth a bother. Also, both H-Marts have more convenient locations which is unfortunate for Han Nam but if you don't mind the slight inconvenience you'll get better groceries at a better price.
google avatar

alyssa n.

Yelp
I'm not sure about this place. The snack corner rarely has any tables to eat. The food is not very good. I was disappointed with the selection of food, and the food lacks flavor every time. Although I prefer shopping at HanNam, some might prefer H-mart to be bigger and better. I like HanNam only because it's near by my home. I was really upset at a lady in the front of the register, because she didn't want to take my phone number for points. I forgot my HanNam card at home, and usually they take your phone number to add points on your card, but the lady seem like she was such in a rush and completely ignored me as I was trying to give her my phone number. She already printed the receipt, and I had no choice but to leave as there was a long line behind us. How rude... Just plain rude.

Yelp
Came here on a Saturday afternoon and dang, this place is mad packed! The free samples and free cotton candy were nice though :) You can pretty much find everything that you typically find at H-m@rt here. I find that the price of fresh produce, meat, and seafood here is cheaper compared to H-m@rt. It gets rather messy when the store is at its busiest, but you wouldn't mind if all you care about is getting the best value. There's also a bakery and prepared food sections inside.

Yelp
I'm satisfied with the products offered here. The reason I took off 4 stars is because of the woman selling rice cakes near the cashier on 4/13/2019. She blatantly lied and and was extremely rude. There was a deal where you get the 4th free if you buy 3 bundles of rice cakes; the deal did not apply to mochi or the rice cakes for the soup. The products I picked were clearly not among the exceptions; they were 2 types of dangos (4 packs of dangos in total). She said the deal doesn't apply to the dangos I picked. She said I can take only 3 packs without deal, e.i. no 4th free pack of rice cakes. This is preposterous, because the same deal was applied to the same products I got about 2 months ago. When I pointed out that the rice cakes I picked were not among the exceptions listed, she insisted that they were mochi; they were not. In fact there was mochi displayed right next to the dangos I picked. She clearly did not like me taking the last 4 packs of dangos. In fact, when I asked questions and chose the first 2 packages of the same type of dangos, she tried to persuade me to choose 2 packages of different rice cakes. Regardless, stores with employees who lie don't deserve customers or their money. Go buy your rice cakes somewhere else, like HMART.

Yelp
One main kicker that made me prefer this place over Hmart is the selection and price of their meats. Its cheaper and, in my opinion, better quality. This is where i do most of grocery shopping and they always have daily, weekly specials. Vegetables seem fresh (I dont spend too much time there). Bananas are usually at $0.59 / lb which is pretty good. They dont have a lot of variety in terms of American food, but i think it's just enough and probably shouldn't be shopping here if you wanted that. The other plus for this place compared to the Hmarts around here is parking/the crowd. Every time i go, there's plenty of parking, and Im usually in and out at about 30-40 minutes. Thats about the time it takes for me to get inside at the Hmart in ridgefield. If you're not too picky and just looking for quick korean grocery items, this place is a go to.

Yelp
Did I tell you how much I love Hmart or any Korean groceries places. I tend to like food shopping in general. So when I was in the area visiting friends, they suggested that I tried Han Nam along with the super big Hmart. What I really like is the free samples lol, which most of the time I do not try but end up giving to my boyfriend. I just like having them, they remind me of street food and what it would be like in Asia and just snacking. Anyhow, this is an okay supermarket, but I prefer H-mart.
