Fantastic Stay in Strasbourg|Excellent hotel with outstanding service. The staff were courteous, professional, and multilingual, making communication effortless. Rooms were clean, comfortable, and refreshed daily to a high standard. Breakfast (€20 pp) offered a generous all-you-can-eat selection, and the breakfast staff were efficient and attentive throughout. The location is ideal—right in the heart of the city, close to the train station, city centre, university, European Parliament, even just a short trip to Kehl in Germany. Perfect for exploring Strasbourg on foot or using public transport to reach every major attraction with ease. Highly recommended for both business and leisure travelers.

Amazing hotel! Close to the beautiful Petite France area, gorgeous decor and a super comfy bed. The parking is not too far away, 5 mins walk, in an underground public car park. It felt very safe and secure. One small thing… the room doesn’t have a full length mirror. Apart from that 10/10. Would recommend.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here, even though renovations were taking place in the dinning room. |The staff were attentive and knowledgeable of the area and spoke very good English Dutch and German. Our room was a corner room with an extra bed and lovely wooden floors.|The only very slight criticism would be the bacon at breakfast, we are used to slightly different style. However the continental breakfast was of high quantity and plentiful.|The location of the hotel is excellent with all of Strasbourg's beauty in walking distance. I would highly recommend this hotel.

We stayed at the Hannong Hotel for one night while in Strasbourg. We had to book last minute as the place we had been staying in didn’t work out. They were extremely helpful and accommodating at getting us set up with two rooms last minute. They allowed us to have an early check in (for a fee) and made sure we got a comfortable room right near our son and his friend. ||The room was soooo nice and cool (it was a very hot day!!) and the AC worked beautifully. The bed was very comfortable and we had all we needed to rest well that night. They even kept some ice for us in their freezer so we would have it for our travel cooler when we left the next day. They gave us a number of suggestions of things to do and places to eat and we had a lovely time exploring the city. We enjoyed the wine bar and the 2 for 1 drink offer they gave us as well.||The location was an easy 10 minute walk to the train station which was very convenient as well. We would definitely stay here again.

I enjoyed the courteous professionalism of the reception staff, making me feel welcome upon my arrival. I stayed for 3 nights and was assigned to a “club room” (still not sure what that means). I really liked some of the amenities of this room, namely, both a shower and bath tub (separately) and an automatic window shade controlled by a panel on the wall. This allowed for a dark room to help with better sleeping at night. I didn’t like the location of my room (#803) because it was right off of a creaky stairway, so other guests could be heard going up and down the steps. If I had been staying longer, I would have requested another room, only because of its location.

We had a most spacious room on the top floor with very comfortable bed and pillows as well as a couch. The AC worked very well which was important since Strasbourg was warm that weekend and we were on the top floor. What really impressed me were the light blocking shades. Best I've ever seen in a hotel. We slept so well with out having to deal with the morning sun. The hotel is very conveniently located to many restaurants and the train station. Staff were very friendly

Charming old building with loads of character! I stayed in a single room and it was the most functional ‘capsule’-style hotel room I’ve ever experienced—everything was thoughtfully designed to make the most of the space. Very neat and clean throughout, with friendly and welcoming staff. The central location is a huge plus—less than a 10-minute walk to the stunning Notre Dame Cathedral and the picturesque old town of Petite France. Some noise from neighboring rooms did come through, but it wasn't too bothersome. I spent most of my time outside exploring the city, so for a few hours of rest and sleep, the room was more than adequate. Perfect base for exploring Strasbourg on foot. Recommended!

Great hotel and well placed in the city. Service excellent and staff very helpful. Breakfast good value with lots of choice. The four stars for room was only for the fact we could hear the heating system at night (dripping water). Reception explained it could be turned off so we should have asked! Otherwise a quiet room; windows well insulated.

I have mixed feelings after staying at the Hotel Hannong. It's an older hotel steps away from Place Kléber, which is the epicenter for the Strasbourg Christmas markets. Nice old world decor. Noisy as anything at night! Since they run the building with heat full blast in winter, I felt stifled and had to open my window to get any air while putting up with street noise. Not comfortable. The room itself was small and tidy - oddly triangular shaped; it looked like a larger room that was cut up. The shower enclosed in frosted glass right next to the bed reminded me of CitizenM hotels' room. The bed was a bit hard as I find most European hotels having. Nice amount of (4) pillows. The front desk was mainly staffed by college-age interns who weren't helpful. They did not inform me of the afternoon treats in the lounge (which I learned about on the day before I left). I wasn't happy to have missed the complimentary tea/coffee and sweet baked treats. For a 4-star hotel charging about $400 USD per night due to the location near Place Kléber at Christmas market time, I was disappointed. It was not worth the high cost as the room space was too hot and small and the front desk staff failed to be informative or very helpful. Very decent and friendly Hotel - not a Grand Hotel by any means, but with superior service, style and location for its pricing. The rooms are clean cut with fairly low ceilings (historical building...) and access to a grand staircase that connects the entire Hotel. A tip: Since you'll be located in the Center of Strasbourg, I'd recommend booking your room without breakfast if afforded the opportunity - the surrounding bakeries and coffee shops offer excellent quality and will make you regret opting for the very decent, yet ultimately forgettable Hotel buffet. Bonus: The staff are very good at remembering former guests and will generously let you use the bathroom when you return to Strasbourg WITHOUT staying at the Hotel ;).

WARNING TRAVELER! I prepaid a 2 night stay in this "4 star hotel" to spend a weekend on the island sightseeing in the old town. After a 2.5 hour train ride to get here in the evening Friday , I am notified that I cannot stay 2 nights, only one, and will need to leave in the AM! The room I paid for was sold to another guest Saturday They said they looked for a comparable 4 star hotel but could only find a 2 star hotel next to the train station...I had researched that hotel and it has horrible reviews, unclean, etc. They told me to check with them later tomorrow and maybe a guest will leave early or cancel! Do not trust this hotel! Maybe it's because I'm an American, who knows. BOOK AT YOUR OWN RISK! October 28, 2016

Never disappoints me. Service excellent. Staff is really competent and here to serve customers. (Which can be rare in France). They smile to welcome you. U get a discount for the parking next door. The hotel is situated righr in the middle of the action though no noise from the city can be heard from rooms. I called the reception to get an iron they brought it to me very very quick. I recommend this hotek. I have been twice and it is excellent. The bar also is awesome

Comfortable, traditional hotel conveniently located in central Strasbourg close to the canal, restaurants, tanners' district and town square. Set on a main street, it has no car park but offers a discounted rate for the nearby multi-storey car park.

Very comfortable hotel right in the centre of town. We had a nice room, spacious, comfortable. The staff was very friendly and efficient. Good option for staying a few days in town.

Best hotel so far on our 3-week trip through Europe! We are thoroughly enjoying our stay at Hotel Hannong and honestly wish we had more time here. We will just have to come back again! The rooms are spacious, very clean and well decorated. The staff is very welcoming and when we arrived early they were extremely accommodating. They went out of their way to congratulate us on and help us celebrate our honeymoon. You definitely can not go wrong with Hotel Hannong.

Very good hotel. Perfect location to all attractions, yet remote enough to not experience crowds. Staff is exceptionally friendly, pleasant. Would stay again. Great clean large rooms, amazing showers!
