⭐ Allure Hotel Hanoi Review
Stay: November 30 to November 1
Rooms: 502 & 505
Our family booked two rooms to accommodate four people—Room 502 and Room 505. Room 502 had the better bathroom setup with a proper shower, while Room 505 featured a bathtub and was more spacious overall. Both have 2 single beds which is small to our liking.
The highlight of Allure Hotel is undoubtedly its prime location in Hanoi’s Old Quarter. It’s within walking distance to many of the main attractions, restaurants, and shops—making it an excellent base for exploring the city. Their buffet breakfast also deserves special mention; during our two-day stay, the variety and quality of food options were impressive and satisfying.
A special shout-out to Wendy at the front desk, who made our stay extra memorable. Upon check-in, she warmly welcomed us, sat down to explain the Old Quarter map, and patiently highlighted the key attractions—all in understandable English. Her kindness and proactive assistance, especially when she learned it was our first visit to Hanoi, truly left a wonderful impression on our family.
We also want to commend the bellboy who assisted us during check-out. Despite the street closure on a busy Saturday evening, he helped us carry two heavy suitcases to the corner where our driver could pick us up, and waited until we were safely in the car before returning to the hotel. Such dedication and helpfulness deserve recognition.
Room for Improvement:
While most of the staff made genuine efforts to communicate in English, a few could use additional language training. For instance, when we asked a room attendant to microwave our food, she seemed confused and walked away—likely misunderstanding our request. We eventually called the front desk to help resolve it. It’s a small issue but worth mentioning.
Also, note that AMEX cards are not accepted, and there’s an extra fee for payments made via Visa or MasterCard, so it’s best to bring cash (VND or USD).
Overall:
Our stay at Allure Hotel was a pleasant experience. Although the rooms weren’t very spacious, specially the beds. the excellent service, delicious breakfast buffet, and unbeatable location more than made up for it. Wendy’s warm hospitality and the staff’s helpfulness made our short stay in Hanoi even more memorable. Highly recommended for travelers seeking comfort, convenience, and genuine care in the heart of the Old Quarter.
