Hanoi Central Backpackers Hostel

I had an amazing time staying at this hostel! The vibes are unbeatable — every evening starts with an hour of free beer, which is the perfect way to meet other travelers and kick off the night. Mornings are just as great with a solid free breakfast to get you going. They offer a ton of day trips around North Vietnam, so it’s super easy to explore the area without the stress of planning everything yourself. Shoutout to Den, the legend who leads the nightly pub crawl and hosts fun games on the rooftop. He brings such good energy every night and really gets everyone involved — it made the experience unforgettable! Definitely recommend this place if you’re looking to have fun, meet people, and explore Vietnam with ease!

The rooms were clean and organized, but due to the lack of windows got musty quickly. The reception was rude and made comments about my friends statue, whilst the cleaning ladies were helpful and kind. The location was good, everything was a walkable distance. The airco is being turned off between 11 am -2 pm, so when we were sick trying to sleep in the reception staff walked into our room (no knocks) and turned on the lights for a few minutes and the airco off, they did this multiple times.

Amazing place! Was here last year for 2 weeks and loved it so much I came back again for more. Staff are all amazing and very helpful with booking tours or just giving advice. Free beer hour is pretty sweet too! Rooms incredibly clean with high quality mattresses and bedding. Beds all have plugs/usb chargers, lights, and storage. Super fun pub crawl each night too

This hostel is really good vibes. If the sky is clear you get a lovely sunset looking over the city and the mountains in the distance. The staff are all lovely. Zo at the front desk is great and has practiced a funny British accent which makes for some good banter. Den and mue are lovely staff members in the bar, they are very accommodating and always have a nice chat with me when I go there. The whole bar service team is great and will make you feel at home :).

Amazing Staff – Dan and Levi! I had a great stay at Hanoi Central Backpackers, and a big part of that was thanks to Dan and Levi. They were super friendly, helpful, and always made sure everyone was having a good time. Whether it was giving local tips, helping with bookings, or just chatting with guests, they created a really welcoming atmosphere. You can tell they genuinely care about the travelers staying there.

Didn’t stay here but joined the pub crawl from Buffalo which stopped here. Dan the Man ran the pub crawl and was amazing, got everyone involved, played some beer pong before we left our hostel. Ben behind the bar was amazing, good vibes good people. All around made our night out. Love you Ben and Dan ❤️❤️

Fantastic hostel. Great location, comfortable beds, very nice rooftop bar. Free walking tours daily. Free breakfast is quite good and unlimited free beer for an hour is awesome. Very friendly and welcoming staff, especially Ben. Will miss you! Great experience overall would highly recommend.

I had bought a bronze statue of a goat with Chinese money attached, the reception staff noticed and called it weird in a very judgemental way. I will let you guess who is richer (both spiritually and in terms of money). Also the elevator was slow
