While the hotel is a good remodel with rooms on par with other hotels of the kind, the main detraction for me was that there is no elevator. They have 6 floors of rooms up rather narrow stairs and while the staff carry your luggage up and down, it’s still a lot of stairs to climb up (85 to our 5th floor room) after a day of sightseeing. Also, the description says free breakfast available, but does not indicate that you have to either pay more for the room to have it included or pay dong 100,000/per person ($4) for it. The description should say that there is no elevator. The location is great, but the hotel itself is on a narrow alley with scooters and motorcycles parked outside.

It was a fantastic experience! Great location near all action with quiet rooms. We were on 6th floor ! There was no lift and narrow stairs up but nothing held David back. He lifted our bags up to the 6th floor with no issues. Rooms very comfortable with green tea and great coffee in the room. We bought small pack of milk which stayed at room temperature ! There was no fridge but that did not worry us. David looked after us very well and we felt homely and enjoyed talking to him every time we passed through. He spoke English which made us feel very comfortable! Rooms were cleaned every day with fresh towels. Tracy on the other hand has been great talking to. She speaks English as well. She understood our needs and booked us relevant tours in consultation with us in such short time with no stress about payments. We payed later after we got back from the tours. The trip to how long bay was great. We could choose which cruise to go On. Tracy gave us few options which was easy to compare and book. She planned our trip and flight booking back to Ho Chi Minh and talking to the hotel about our late arrival. Laura apartments in Ho Chi Minh was giving us hard time about payment as the links were not working. Tracy was happy to arrange payments to Laura Apartment and for us to reimburse her. In the end it all Worked out and we did not require Tracy to make the payment. Friendly homely experience. Elite Han Hoi hotel was so cheap and they took credit card payments. I could not believe the price $109Aud for 3 nights booked through wotif. The hotel is in the ally street away but near the music, night markets and restaurants! David carried out bags to the taxi as the night market was on and the car could not come near to the hotel. As we were on the tour Tracy assured us to relax and enjoy as we will always be able to get to the airport and catch the late flight back to Ho Chi MInh. We could chat with Tracy on watsapp at anytime. They offer breakfast from7 am at the hotel You can book for at $1 Aud with coffee. I will definitely stay there again😄 Commendable service by Tracy and David 🦋

Absolutely Disgusting Experience – Stay Away I genuinely don’t know where to begin. This hotel has pathetic management, unhygienic rooms, rude staff, and zero professionalism. I have traveled across several countries, but this is by far the worst hotel experience of my life. I seriously question how this property has received any 5-star reviews—every negative review is 100% accurate. I am writing this detailed review so that no one else has to go through the trauma we faced during what was supposed to be a vacation. I have shared photo evidence to support every claim made below 1. Location & Safety – Extremely Poor • The hotel is located far from the main road. Vehicles cannot reach the entrance, forcing guests to drag heavy luggage through a dirty, dark, and shady alley. • There is a garbage dumpster right next to the hotel entrance, creating a horrible smell and extremely unhygienic surroundings. • At night, the area feels unsafe, with people loitering, drinking, and smoking weed in the alley. • There are no street lights, making it even more dangerous. • Families and senior citizens should avoid this place at all costs. 2. Rooms & Cleanliness – Shabby and Unhygienic • Rooms are poorly maintained, congested, and have a strong mouldy smell. • Visible leakage marks on walls and ceilings. • Bathrooms are the worst: • Black fungus on shower curtains • Broken tiles with black grime around them • On further inspection, we found blood stains on the bathroom curtains • Towels provided were grey instead of white, torn, worn out, with hanging threads and dark black spots. • Beds were average and not properly cleaned. • One room had a clogged basin, which we had to fix ourselves. • No elevator in the hotel—stairs are very steep and unsafe, making it extremely inconvenient, especially for elderly guests. 3. Service & Management – Rude, Unprofessional, and Insensitive • There is no proper staff structure. • The same person acts as bellboy, room service, and night manager. • The receptionist was rarely available at the counter. • Management was blunt, rude, and dismissive toward all our genuine concerns. • I was traveling with my parents (both 70+ senior citizens), and the staff showed zero empathy or concern. • Complaints were met with shouting, shunning, and outright ignorance, even after we showed them photo evidence. Due to the unsafe stairs and horrible room condition, we were forced to shift my parents to a lower-floor room. For this, the hotel charged an additional 3,000,000 VND (approx. USD 120 / INR 10,500) for an “upgrade.” This entire ordeal wasted 4–5 hours of our time late at night, ruining our peace of mind. The hotel refused to cooperate even when we involved our travel agent. 4. Food & Breakfast – Completely Avoided • Given the unhygienic state of the hotel, we decided to skip breakfast entirely. • Breakfast timings are ridiculous—served only after 7:30 AM, while most tours start around 6:30–7:00 AM, clearly showing a lack of guest convenience and planning. Final Verdict – A Strong Warning We had two rooms booked, and both were equally horrible. This is a serious warning to anyone planning a stay here: 👉 DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL 👉 It can completely ruin your Vietnam trip Please refer to the photos attached for proof.

I had the best stay in Hanoi in that hotel!! Its a small one, but the rooms are absolutely AMAZING!! Super clean and modern and staff so friendly and helpful! I will definitely come back here! Location is perfect too! Even if next to beer street, its isolated in a quiet street to get a nice night of sleep!

Amazing hotel! Brilliant service from start to finish. They went above and beyond for me throughout my stay The rooms were clean and the beds were comfy with the hotel also providing free coffee, milk, water every day and on request. The location is perfect as it’s just away from the noise of beer street Overall, I would definitely recommend this hotel

Okey i definitely do not understand people who can do positive or 5* reviews about this place. Noisy, smelling, everything is pretty over-used, walls are destroyed so much with humidity. This Air conditioning filters you have are not good for your lungs… just google the consequences of mold in ac filters… also the bed sheets were mold, tv completely destroyed (better to remove). Imagine finding out your room is piece of real trash and stay at 6 th floor… checking in late at night, and when u resch 6th floor with lugage with no elevator u re tired enough to deal with stuffs in your room. So i immediately ordered taxi and went to different place. Please dont try to save 10€ for standard and clean accomodation. And dont book this place. I asked for refund, they dont do… i am happy they will not have available my room for 2 another nights for someome who s about to do same mistake.

The hotel was very centrally located and the front staff were incredibly helpful! From the moment I made the booking, Tracey was in contact with me to help make arrangements for my trip - such as assisting in booking a Lan Ha Bay cruise. The bed was comfortable and the room had all the necessary amenities. It is very close to a party street, so it tends to get quite loud at night/ until the early hours, but I understand that’s part of being close to the action.

⚠️ DANGEROUS SECURITY FAILURE - DO NOT STAY HERE I am writing this to warn ALL travelers. I stayed here in Dec 2025. At 2:30 AM, while I was asleep, a stranger walked into my room because the receptionist had given them a key card programmed to my door.Waking up to an intruder in your room is a nightmare scenario for anyone. When I rushed to the lobby to report this severe breach, the night staff was dismissive, offered no real help, and refused to contact management.I felt so unsafe that I had to pack my bags and flee the hotel at 4:00 AM. This is not just a mistake; it is dangerous negligence. Whether you are solo, a couple, or a family—do not risk your safety here.
