Clean. Breakfast served is decent with a variety of dishes to choose from every morning. Everything is more or less within walking distance of the hotel. The staff are quite friendly. One thing to take note of is that it is right opposite a church and the bell tolls quite frequently, it didn't bother me as I am a heavy sleeper, if you aren't this may be an issue which you might wanna take into consideration. Water pressure is good. The toilets are equipped with bidets, but the toilets are a little bit on the small side.

This is my second visit to Hanoi and I returned to the same hotel because it's simply a great place to stay, with lovely staff and great location. I stayed on the top floor with a private balcony that looks out to the back of St. Joseph's, the Notre Dame of Hanoi. The multi level hotel is very clean, has only 12 rooms, two large rooms on each level. Set on a quiet street that leads to the bustling end of French quarter, walking distance to a mind-boggling variety of shops, dining and drinking outlets. A mere 10 minute walk to Hoan Kiem lake. ||||Breakfast is included in the very decently priced room rate. Delicious start to the day with a choice of bacon, sausage & eggs or the alternative of Pho. ||||The hotel's manager Pauline is very fluent in English and her super efficiency led to a seamless transfer to and fro the airport as well as side trips for my family to Halong Bay and May Chau. ||||I look forward to returning to Hanoi and a stay at this little treasure.

We got picked up from the airport by the hotel which made it very easy, the staff we very nice, breakfast was good, the location is good for old Hanoi and has many bars and restaurants very nearby. Our room had a balcony and a view of the church and was very quiet considering its central location. Aircon worked perfectly and there was hot water in the nice bathroom. Recommended.

Enjoyed our stay, with the staff being very friendly and helpful. Room was clean with a nice hot shower. Breakfast was the best with many choices and freshly prepared. The location was quiet even with the Cathedral right behind. Walking was easy to all areas of interest and there were plenty of eating choices available.

Friendly staff, very clean rooms and great breakfast. Overall really happy with our decision to stay here at the Iris! The hotel is in a quieter side street in the old quarter which is close to some of the best street food restaurants in the Old Quarter. Also, as an American I greatly appreciated the brewery across the street, Pasteur Street Brewery.

Truly a lovely little hotel. I booked using hotels.com and the price was under 40USD per night. There are lots of these little boutique hotels along the road. I was happy for the stay here! The room is exactly as pictured. Perfect for one or 2 people. I "upgraded" for a few extra dollars for a room with a balcony and happy to do so. ||The air/con is quite good and there's also an oscillating fan in the room. I like both on for the white noise. The bed is surprisingly comfortable but some might find it hard. The bed linens are of a nice soft cotton. I had no problem sleeping. The hotel staff are warm and friendly and will gladly answer all questions. There is a nice little breakfast nook with made to order eggs and pancakes as well as fresh coffee, fruit and cereal. The location is great. Short walk to a church which is good for landmark. Lots of alleys and side streets to explore. Free WIFI too. There is some street noise but not too bad at night and I use earplugs no matter where I travel. I highly recommend this charming hotel.

Lovely location and easy to walk everywhere in the French Quarter. Thoughtful staff, (although their English is not brilliant). Pretty, clean rooms and pleasant breakfast. Easy to organize our car to airport. Along the back roads nearby there are lots of hidden local restaurants and affordable massage places too.
