Hanoi Street Food Tour

Our street food tour in Hanoi was an absolute highlight of our trip, and it was all thanks to our amazing guide, Tina Tau! From start to finish, she took us to fantastic, authentic places that we would have never discovered on our own. The food was incredible, diverse, delicious, and a true taste of local Hanoi. Tina is such a cheerful, friendly, and kind person. She created a wonderful atmosphere within the group right away, relaxed, fun, and full of positive energy. We laughed together many times, which made the whole experience even more special. You can really feel her passion and love for what she does. It was a truly lovely day, full of great food, laughter, and unforgettable moments. We highly recommend this tour, and if you’re lucky enough to have Tina Tau as your guide, you’re guaranteed an amazing experience!

We took this tour with Tina who was a very friendly and engaging guide. She provided lots of information, not only about the food, but also about Vietnamese culture. I recommend taking a tour with Tina. That said, the quality of the food on the tour doesn’t reflect the best available. It’s a good way to learn about the foods available, but having eaten the same foods elsewhere I realize that much better quality versions are available. Finishing the tour on train street is a nice touch though and although it was very busy meaning everyone had to stand as the train passed it was nice to experience.

Apple, our guide was wonderful! She was so kind, warm and hilarious! This tour had a great combination of different dishes to try, not just the basics- pho & Bahn mi. Highly recommend this food tour. Not only great food, but they teach you how to eat dishes properly and teach about cultural practices. Great tour!

I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Hanoi! With so many options in the city, it can feel overwhelming to decide where to go, but this experience takes you to the very best local spots and lets you try all the must-eat dishes in Hanoi. Our guide, Elena, was wonderful — not just a guide but someone who made the entire tour fun and memorable. I’m so happy we had her with us! Just a tip: the tour includes 8 dishes in total, so make sure to come with an empty stomach!

Wonderfull street food tour. You can book either group tour or private tour. The guide, Elena, was very knowledgable, spoke excellent english and explained in detail about the Hanoian culinary traditions. The food we ate was all excellent, in most of the shops were no other tourists and we ate at the local market too, directly on the street with other locals. My absolute favorite was Bun Cha and the handmade puristic coconut icecream with super fresh mango (best desert I had in Vietnam).

We had our food tour with Tina who was absolutely delightful as a guide! She took us to several delicious spots and we were able to try foods I’ve never had before. Looking forward to finding these dishes when I’m back home. She was so kind to write the names of the dishes down too.

Tina was terrific. She gave a wonderful tour, taking us all over Hanoi introducing us to local food delights. She shared history, culture and culinary insights along the way. The foods were excellent. I felt more like a local at the end. Highly recommend the tour and highly recommend Tina. Would love to do it again, but my belly is full!

We were a little disappointed by the vegetarian options given the price we paid per person. Our guide was amazing, the food was good, we definitely discovered places we wouldn’t have found ourselves, and learnt a bit more about the culture. However, for the price we paid I didn’t feel the offering was justified. Would not necessarily recommend for vegan/vegetarian travellers - rather do a normal walking tour to learn more about the culture, and get food recommendations from your guide, Google, or your hotel
