We wanted a place which was in the middle of everything, but could offer a retreat when the hustle of Hanoi got a little too much. This lovely hotel in the heart of Hanoi old town was just the ticket. ||We were lucky enough to be upgraded to rooms on the seventh floor. They were spacious, with good insulation against the sound outside. Could have done with a little more storage for clothes, though.||The roof terrace was ideal for drinks in the evening. And the pool, also on the roof, was perfect for cooling off in afternoon.||Breakfast was fantastic, with something for almost every culture. And great service from Chester and the team.||Would also recommend the Timeline restaurant across the road.

My sister and I stayed here and had a great experience. We stayed for three nights, then did a cruise in Ha Long Bay and came back for one more night. We were able to leave some luggage at Tirant while on the cruise which made things so much simpler. Everyone was extremely friendly, welcoming, and helpful. Chester in particular always checked in and made sure we had everything we needed. We loved the rooftop pool and views, and the food was delicious. The location was great and we enjoyed walking around the old quarter and to nearby museums.

Hotel staff are extremely friendly and helpful, wonderful smiles from both reception staff and bell boys. Hotel location is amazing, right smack in the middle of so many shopping streets. Massage spas are also just a stones throw away — one right beside and one across the street. Buffet breakfast has different things everyday so you will always have something new to try. Stayed in a family room which was very comfortable and pleasant to stay in — as long as your family can decide who showers first as there is only one shower 😂

The staff is simply the nicest, sweetest and so thoughtful. When we arrived, they kindly upgraded our room. The welcoming was so personal and warm, with a complementary tea. Also, I have a bunch of allergies (including gluten and dairy) and Chester was so knowledgeable and helpful. He was very fun to chat with! We would definitely come again!

We had a great stay in this hotel. It’s close to everything, quiet and clean. Good selection at the breakfast buffet. The customer service is spot on! Chester at the front desk is very friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here next time we visit Hanoi. Highly recommended.

One of the best hotel stays we’ve ever had. The rooms were beautifully designed, the location unbeatable, and the staff warm, attentive, and genuinely helpful. After landing in Hanoi, this proved to be the perfect place to unwind and acclimatise. A special mention to Chester, whose eye for detail and quiet efficiency made all the difference — ensuring each guest felt looked after in ways both big and small.

Great welcoming hotel with friendly staff in the center of the old quarter. Nice pool (not too big) on the roof, which is great for kids. Good breakfast, spacious and luxurious rooms.

This birthday trip stay was extremely disappointing. First, regarding the room: I booked a Deluxe Room with External City View, but Room 910 only had one small window facing the city, while the other two windows faced a wall. When I tried to speak with the male supervisor in a white shirt at the front desk about a paid upgrade to a room with a better view, he quoted me the rack rate instead of the best available rate. I eventually declined the offer. The only upgrade option provided was a Junior Suite, and the supervisor clearly wasn’t considering things from the guest’s perspective. The room required the key card for power, air conditioning, and bathroom ventilation to function, which meant the room had a damp smell and small bugs in the bathroom. Additionally, since there’s no air conditioning in the hallways, the temperature difference caused condensation to form on the room door. Only one key card was provided. If you forget to bring it, you have to contact the front desk, and even then, you might be left waiting ten minutes with no one caring or assisting. The room came with two bottles of drinking water daily, but on the third day, I was given a bottle that had already been opened — an unacceptable and unsanitary mistake, possibly from another guest’s room. Next, the restaurant: The breakfast room has a nice view, but the staff offered inconsistent service. On the second morning, a staff member seated me by the window, but while I was at the buffet, he gave my seat to a group of Indian guests. During the meal, I kept hearing the male staff in white shirts flatter Western guests and push for positive reviews by name, while completely ignoring Asian guests like me. On the third day, while I was still getting food, I turned around to find my table already cleared — a rude and low-standard behavior without even confirming whether I had finished dining. The room and restaurant experience were both terrible. I also had a one-hour foot massage at the hotel spa. While the staff were polite, the skill was poor. The therapist kept pressing hard near my shinbone, which caused significant pain in my lower leg. I do not recommend staying in any room below the Executive Balcony level, and I also do not recommend this hotel for Asian guests — the service discrimination is obvious and unacceptable. The overall stay was a horrible experience. 👎 Apart from its prime location, the hotel has no redeeming qualities.
