I was looking forward to the opening of this historical building complex, hotel so I decided to visit the Hansa Cafe. The atmosphere is nice and I like some of the design elements. I did not try the food and only had cocktails. When you first look on the menu it does not resemble a luxury hotel bar. There is nothing luxury about this menu, it’s a very ordinary cocktail list with a super boring selection. Also Garibaldi is not Caribaldi as it is written on the menu. The cocktail itself was fine, and for the price I guess that’s what you get. However the disappointment is for the service. The bartender carried the glasses touching the upper (rim) of the glass in his hand. No tray, no napkins, coaster under the drink. No snacks with the drink. I was never asked if I wanted sparkling water or still.
These things matter. It’s a pity, there are so many bars with this level already. I know the other bar in the hotel will open later this year but now this is the image that customer face, just a boring hotel bar without a soul.
