"The Hansar is the perfect blend of urban sophistication with green style. The elegant, neutral-toned decor is set off by walls of ferns and vines; the sleek, long infinity pool is bordered by fragrant plumeria trees; and many rooms enjoy a view of Lumphini Park, Bangkok ’s biggest green space. These things make the hotel feel like a breath of fresh air, even though it's smack in the middle of the city's action. While the Hansar is housed in its own metal-and-glass skyscraper and is fairly large, it has a calming style and naturally lit spaces that lend a small and almost boutique feel. The building is built to maximize both energy efficiency and cooling breezes, making it easu to sleep in the plush beds at night, and the hotel’s many plants even sponge away some of Bangkok's exhaust fumes."

"Luxury hotel designers in southeast Asia have a thing for imposing towers. From a basic architectural standpoint, Hansar Hotel Bangkok is no different, looming over a tony section of Rajdamri Road. But taking into account the comparatively low-slung glass-and-steel frontispiece, it’s clear that Hansar Hotel has a different mission than simply being grand for grandeur’s sake. The entrance sets the tone, with a pair of oversized glass doors leading to a high-ceilinged lobby where sparkling clean lines are softened by plenty of rich wood and a vibrant tapestry." - Tablet Hotels

We stayed at this hotel twice recently. Our first room was a luxury suite. It was great value, dark and quiet at night and very comfortable. Linens great and comfortable bed. Reasonable choices at breakfast and a magnificent view over the close by sports club. Close to lumphini park for a morning walk and shopping at Central and a BTS steps away from the lobby. We ate at the Japanese restaurant and were very happy with the service, and the food. We used the bar next to the pool which was a delight and the spa for a great massage at reasonable cost. Our second visit for 3 nights in an urban suite as a different story! The air conditioning required servicing twice, the tv required a technician 6 times and still did not work. The loo seat was broken. The bed was hard , the unit was noisy and light overnight from a skywall in the lounge and another in the bathroom. One bedroom light was strobing like a disco. While the staff were incredibly responsive to our requests for assistance, we remain confused as to why these basic issues were not checked prior to check in, and why, when unable to be fixed, that we were not put into a room with all working parts! BKK is such an exciting city with literally 1000's of options nearby for a similar price. Ours is only one experience but we write this to assist others. Our experience was Chalk and cheese!

I usually stay at the Grand Hyatt or Hotel Indigo when I’m in this part of Bangkok, but this was my first time staying here and the level is clearly above both. The decor is stylish and the suites are absolutely perfect. As a business traveler, I really appreciated the spacious desk, the large comfortable sofa with a nice coffee table and TV, and the beautiful bedroom with a top-notch bathroom. The shower pressure was impressively strong, which is quite rare in Thailand. The staff were incredibly attentive. I didn’t have time to try the breakfast, but I ordered room service and it was delivered in under 15 minutes. Fast, professional and delicious. I’ll definitely be coming back with great pleasure.

I recently stayed at the hotel during the last week of February for a few days and I wanted to share my experience. When I arrived, there was no one to greet me or direct me to reception, and I had to wait about 10 minutes before someone arrived. I understand staff may have been busy with other guests, but having someone available to assist would have been helpful. That said, once I checked in, the receptionist was friendly, and the process was smooth. I was also shown to my room, which I truly appreciated. It was spacious and lovely, and I really enjoyed that aspect of my stay. However, there were some issues. The bathroom area (toilet, bath, and shower) had visible mould. I did mention this to the receptionist, who kindly offered me another room, but unfortunately, the alternative room had the same issue. Additionally, the drains had a strong, unpleasant odour, which was particularly noticeable while I was showering. The bed, though comfortable in appearance, was quite dusty—I could actually see dust particles floating when I lay down. The air conditioning unit was also very loud, which made it difficult to relax. I had assumed the room would be more soundproof, as is common in quality hotels. Lastly, the TV had very few channels and poor picture quality, which was a bit disappointing. Despite these concerns, I really liked the hotel overall. The staff were patient, helpful, and friendly, which made a positive impact on my stay. I genuinely believe the hotel has great potential, and with some improvements in cleanliness and maintenance, it could provide an even better guest experience.

The hotel is cozy and welcoming. Conveniently located in the city centre, the hotel is only a 10-min walk to CentralWorld. The rooms are clean and home-like, with greenery inside, giving an overall natural, fresh and refreshing aura. However, the shower head is fixed on the wall, giving people no choice to adjust its position to suit their own needs. This is disappointing. For breakfast, there are two different sets of menus available, providing a limited range of options. Most of the dishes are served with eggs. Although it is set as in a buffet setting. The food options are very limited. The taste of most dishes we tried during our stay is rather bland though, not really Thai authentic. On top of that, it’s unreasonable to charge the slippers. Customers should be able to change for a new pair of slippers for free as it should be regarded as a disposable item like all other sanitary products provided. Or at best, remind customers of that when checking in. Slippers are not allowed to be taken away when checking out as well, unlike most of other hotels, unfortunately. Therefore, it would be nice if customers are reminded of that when checking in to avoid causing misunderstanding. Also, it’s questionable whether the slippers would be repacked and reused again when customers are not allowed to take them away. It might have caused hygiene problems IF the slippers really are to be repacked and reused. 🤢🤢😦 Overall, the hotel is cozy and comfortable. However, for visitors looking for a nice breakfast to start the day, this might not be the best option.

A well located hotel in the Lumpini district, the Skytrain station is a short walk away. Also nearby is Centre One shopping mall with upscale shops and restaurants. Cheaper shopping and eating options can be found across the road at the Big C mall. On check-in we were upgraded to a Horizon Suite that had a great view overlooking the golf course/race track. Our room was large and comfortable, with a lovely big bed and quality linens. Aircon easy to adjust, quiet and effective. However the corridors leading to the room were in the process of being refurbished, so corridors looked tatty. Check-in good but checkout was particularly slow and inefficient as our room had to be checked before we could leave. We were made to feel that we’d possibly taken things from the room - not nice at all. Breakfast was ok but not exceptional. We would check out other options before returning to this hotel.

Excellent location, just outside the CBD. Close to transport links and walking distance from central one world mall (I hope i got that right). All the staff were very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Always on hand to help. Breakfast was varied and very fulling and an amazing view. We tried elfin cafe for dinner one evening and the food was excellent, large portions. The urban suite we booked was amazing, 2 tv's, a living area and bedroom and 5 piece bathroom suite and dressing area. Nice touch with the green wall. Overall an amazing start to our honeymoon. I would highly recommend. There was no need for adaptors for the plugs and room service was very quick when we requested an iron. Overall I would recommend.

Booked: King Suite for 4 nights The hotel stay was comfortable and the aircon was really good and cold! The location is not perfect for us as it was about 15 mins walk away from Central World (mostly not sheltered). The room was also not to our liking as the corridor and room can be quite dark and too quiet during the night. But the overall comfort of the toilet and the space of the room did make it a pleasant stay! Overall this will be perfect for someone that don’t intend to go out often and would like to stay in the hotel to get some work done.

Unfortunately, my recent stay at Hansar Bangkok was quite disappointing. While I’ll give credit where it’s due, the rooms are spacious and well sized. However, there were several issues that really affected our experience. The cleanliness was below expectations. I didn’t feel comfortable sitting on the sofa due to visible stains. The electricity went off multiple times over the first two nights, which even caused the TV to turn on by itself in the middle of the night. In addition, my room’s TV wasn’t working, and in my friend’s room, the hair dryer was faulty. We also noticed mouldy wallpaper in some areas, which made the room feel poorly maintained. On top of that, the lift broke down one morning and we had to take the stairs, which was not ideal when you’re staying on a higher floor. Breakfast was bad. It was not a buffet setup and had very limited choices. And a surprising low point: the hotel wanted to charge 200 baht per pair per day for the in-room bedroom slippers. I would strongly suggest bringing your own. Overall, Hansar Bangkok did not live up to the expectations set by its photos and reputation. Definitely not a 5 stars standard. A few improvements in maintenance, service, and hospitality policies would go a long way.
