10 Best Coffee Shops in Madrid | Condé Nast Traveler

"The lustrous white wall tiles, industrial light fixtures, and poured concrete floors lend HanSo a distinct Brooklyn feel, as do the bagel sandwiches—a rare sight in Madrid. Owner Nicho cut his teeth up the road at Toma Café, so it's no surprise that his coffee menu hinges on single-origin beans roasted minimally to fruity, tart perfection. Matcha lattés are as delicious here as they are dainty, topped with green-and-white microfoam in the shape of a heart. A welcome departure from the humdrum pastries and sandwiches at most cafés, HanSo's menu features fresh-off-the-iron Belgian waffles topped with fresh fruit, an assortment of bagel sandwiches and melts, and a truly sigh-worthy carrot cake overstuffed with cream-cheese frosting." - Benjamin Kemper

A cozy and stylish spot with a great atmosphere! The coffee here is perfectly balanced — smooth, rich, and beautifully presented with latte art that shows real attention to detail. The waffle with fresh fruits was absolutely delicious — soft on the inside, slightly crispy on the outside, and topped with a generous variety of fresh fruits and maple syrup. I also tried their shakshuka, which was full of flavor and came with freshly toasted bread — a great choice for breakfast or brunch. The service was friendly and quick, and the overall vibe was calm and modern, making it an ideal place to relax or catch up with friends. Highly recommended for anyone looking for quality coffee and a good breakfast in Madrid ☕🍓🥞

Hanso Cafe is such a gem in Madrid. The moment you walk in, you feel this creative, cozy vibe — the kind of place where the coffee actually *means* something. Their menu is simple but done with real care, and the quality of the coffee honestly stands out from most cafés in the city. The staff are friendly without trying too hard, and they make the place feel welcoming even when it’s busy. I loved the mix of locals and travelers, the relaxed energy, and the attention to detail in every drink. Whether you’re grabbing a quick flat white or settling in for a slow morning, Hanso is the spot. One of my favorite café experiences in Madrid.

The food was so amazing that I did not get a chance to try the desserts, which also looked wonderful! We had the Peanut Butter French Toast, th B.L.A.T., and the Croiffle. All of them were delicious (it's good to go with people who will let you taste their food) and very satisfying. One of our party loves their matcha varieties too. Excellent choice for brunch.

I absolutely loved HanSo - so much that I visited twice in one day! Their coconut matcha was excellent, and I tried their avocado and scrambled egg toast for breakfast, along with their spicy turkey sandwich for lunch. My partner had a bacon, egg and cheese bagel and the kimchi & bacon sandwich. All of our food was delicious, and I am thankful to have made such a lovely memory on my trip to Madrid!

Pleasantly surprised I found this gem so soon! Matcha is great. Place is nice and spacious. Staff were super cool! They’re also one of the best coffee shop this year! If you don’t know what that is, it’s basically a collection of awesome coffee shops in Spain. I’m not surprised at all. Definitely add this to your list!

The food was really good, and the staff were nice. The only downside is that the indoor seating area is very small and tight. It was difficult to sit down or leave without disturbing other diners, as they had to get up for us to pass.

We enjoyed so much. The Turkish eggs , amazing meal. Toast with jamón and crumble eggs , so tasty, for dessert we had matcha cake , yummy. The only things waitress looked so unhappy and angry, everyone noticed and was talking about these way they served the guest of this great place.
