Outstanding place. We had to extend our stay in Chennai by a few days and are so pleased we found this place. Truly peaceful, lovely rooms, delicious breakfast and amazing staff. We got such a warm welcome. Shoutout to the reception staff and Pradip who were particularly generous and kind. If we return to Chennai, there's nowhere else I'd stay!

Beautiful stay and wonderful experience 🌸 The hotel is truly beautiful and peaceful. The breakfast was excellent — delicious with many choices. Everything was clean and well organized, making my stay very comfortable. I would like to give special thanks to Mr. Ajay from the front office, who was very kind, polite, and helpful throughout my stay. His warm smile and thoughtful service made me feel truly welcome. On my way back, the staff was so kind to give me Diwali sweets as a parting gift — such a sweet and memorable gesture for my very first Deepavali experience in India. 🪔💛 Thank you to all the staff for their wonderful hospitality. I hope to come back again someday

My stay at Hanu Reddy Residency Poes Garden was absolutely wonderful. The staff team is beyond caring, the food is the most delicious, the peaceful and also central location, and the community of people who are drawn to stay here make this place special beyond any hotel. It is truly a home away from home, and I can see why so many people were booking their return visits before they even left. I cannot express enough gratitude for every person and staff who made sure I had an incredible experience. I hope to return again soon and have found my permanent spot to stay in Chennai.

Here is my honest review: I stayed for a day and the reception by the staff was warm. The room was spacious and clean and the property felt very secure. Considering that its located within the residential area of poes garden, you feel peaceful. Restaurant was really good with good ambience though the morning buffet was limited in options but had a very good quality tasted very good. In the evening, when i ordered dinner they said order will take 40 mins to prepare and hence i skipped. Coming back to the problems, the AC wasnt working properly, it was gettting switched on only after 5 mins of turning on the switch and the remote wasnt working because of which temperature cant be controlled and I couldnt maintain a comfortable temperature to sleep thru the night, the wall fan was so noisy and i couldnt use it. The geyser wasnt working properly and the water i got was only slightly hot and that too became cold after 3 minutes. If they could correct/fix all these equipments in the room, the property definitely could attract more stars.

My wife and I stayed here at the end of a 3 week long trip in India. The rooms are a basic, but higher end India hotel room. However, the location is really outstanding here. You're right next to Rajnikanth's house! Pros: Wonderful grounds, very good service. Location! Con: some drivers struggled to find the place without GPS. They're advertising their brand a lot at this hotel even though you're already there. I would stay here again.

A sanctuary for the soul: a home away from home. Every corner of Hanu Reddy Poesgarden has been designed to provide warmth, peace and tranquility. The buildings, the trees, the plants, the waterlilies, the roof garden, the restaurant, the rooms, the entrances all created to blend nature and buildings together giving the guests an oasis of peace in the clamour (hustle and bustle) of Chennai. A perfect place to unwind and start the day. But what sets this place truly apart is the staff, the human touch providing guests with customised service, anticipating our needs, welcoming gestures, and personalised recommendations. From the Manager Avira who greets every guest each day with her warmth and patience to solve any problem efficiently. For making sure we could attend and be invited to a very sumptuous luncheon that was taking place as a special celebration event which was an event for us not to forget. Also thanks to the staff at reception, always smiling and greeting us when we go past on our early morning walk at 6am and any other times throughout the day. Thank you Sudanshu for answering all our questions so cheerfully and with such a happy face. Our thanks goes to the staff in the restaurant who were so attentive and ready to serve us. Thank you so much for your kindness and happy smiles. Ashok, Pradip, Ajay, Dinesh who were always in attendance and with personalised care always looking after us. From the guard to all the other staff we met we received smiles and respect as if we were special. Hanu Reddy has a motto “Guest is God” all staff treated us that way, meaning it and living by it. The rooms were spacious and spotless. cleaned daily by Samar who was very helpful and ready to resolve any problem. The bed was very comfortable and the linen, pillows and towels, all were very fresh and clean, crispy and cozy. The bathroom and wash basin all modern and functional in providing all our needs. The buffet breakfast was amazing. Every dish imaginable to provide us with healthy and sumptuous meals. We spend nearly two months at Hanna Reddy and had most of our lunches and dinners there at very reasonable prices and enjoyed every meal. It was a feast for us. Thanking all kitchen staff who prepared these wonderful meals. Also the setting of the restaurant could not be better. It was a heavenly sitting area. So enjoyable and guests were all very happily chatting away with each other. We felt rested, pampered and inspired whilst we attended to our studies. We would not wish to stay anywhere else and will be returning in December for another two months of studies and enjoy this home away from home. The human touch at Hanu Reddy Poesgarden stays with us in so many beautiful memories that we look forward to meeting you all again on our return. I also would like to thank Mr Hanu Reddy and his family for creating such a wonderful place and atmosphere for guests to enjoy. Special thanks to Nirupama for her hospitality and her inclusion of us to make us feel like part of the family. Amazing location but a lack of regard to facilities. Stained dirty towels and linen. Staff said it was because the washing line was rusty??! Mould on the lid of the water bottle at breakfast. AC didn’t work for a single night - we complained and requested it was fixed on day one. First they said it was. By day three they blamed us saying we needed to authorise the engineers to visit. We were never asked to earlier, and were told it had been fixed. So utter chaos. Staff lying. They didn’t clean our rooms on day 3 and then said it was because we had to ask every day for a room to be cleaned. This wasn’t communicated on earlier days - and room had been cleaned first two days without us asking. So it’s just inconsistent and easier for them to blame us, rather than take responsibility. Prepaid room - hotel didn’t even offer us a free meal or drinks by way of apology. There was also a huge farmers market during one of our stays which wasn’t communicated to us - meant hotel was crowded and noisy most of one of the days. Yes the location is amazing but the management here must be arrogant to assume that means it’s ok to not bother with customer needs.

Hanu Reddy Poes Garden might not boast the best of the best facilities that other hotels do, but it comes really close for the fraction of a price. This was my first time in Chennai and I booked this out of sheer last minute desperation, without any expectations but I was completely blown away by the level of service I have received during my stay here. From the get go, Ajay at the front desk welcomed me with a smile and made sure my stay goes without any problems. He was present through, waving and greeting me whenever I'd walk past reception and helping me with all of my queries. Similarly, Pradeep at the dining area also served me with a warm smile and was always very cheerful. The place itself has a sense of calmness to it, away from the busy streets, it's nestled quite well into Poes Garden. There's little to no sounds from the outside, the rooms are immaculate and clean, and the property itself engulfs you into a different mindset with it's antique furnishings and little tidbits spread across the residence. I'll surely come back and stay here, and will recommend it to anyone traveling to Chennai.
