We decided to come here for a meal after doing some research. The hotel looked really nice, and we we were looking forward to trying some local dishes (it showed they sold somali, which is one thing I struggled to find while we were in romania) |We were shown to our table and given our menus, then the lad walked away. We spent about 10 mins going thru the menu trying to find something to try. Most of the items were frozen, which was shown by a little frost symbol. So we decided to for one of the 3 items in the whole menu that wasn't frozen. It was the most expensive item on the menu but was a platter for 2 people. |After another 5 mins or so and not 1 member of staff was around. In this time, no one had been over to take our drinks order, let alone our food order. It was literally us and another family over from us in the restaurant. |Another 5 mins went past, and a member of staff finally appeared, walked straight past our table, and went over to the other family to take away their empty plates. Didn't even look at us. |At that point, we got up and walked out. ||It was really disappointing as we were looking forward to the food. We ended up going to another restaurant. ||I would avoid this place if ever in bran again.

Good sized bedroom with balcony overlooking Bran Castle. We had an excellent evening meal in the large dining room and breakfast was delicous with plenty of choice. Our motorbike was parked immediately outside the front door in the private parking area.

Low quality (frozen) food for high prices! The place was recommended by our guide as “nice and fast”, but the food was one of the worse we ate in Brasov area, and the price way to high. The service said that they do not speak English, but beside that was kind. No paper towels in the ladies room.

I came here while filming in the area and ended up staying longer than planned — that’s how comfortable it felt. The food was rich and flavorful, especially the grilled meats and traditional sides. It’s the kind of place where you know the recipes have been passed down. The terrace is spacious, and from a visual perspective, it’s one of the best angles to capture the castle without being inside the tourist rush. The wooden decor, mountain air, and warm service complete the experience. If you’re visiting Bran and want to feel the atmosphere of the place, not just see it, Hanul Bran delivers. Great for families, travelers, or even remote workers looking for a scenic lunch stop.

I visited after capturing aerial footage nearby and was drawn in by the rustic charm of the place. The terrace view is one of the best in the area — perfect for photos, a quiet coffee, or a sunset dinner. The menu offers generous portions of traditional food done right. I tried the ciorbă and sarmale — both were flavorful and comforting, just like homemade. The service was friendly and relaxed, and the staff made sure everything felt personal. As someone who works with hotels and locations across Romania, I can say Hanul Bran has that rare combination of authenticity, comfort, and visibility. A great spot to recommend, especially for first-time visitors to Bran.

Went to the restaurant to eat food. Food was fine, but the music in the restaurant was too loud. When I asked the waiter to turn it down a bit, I got a flat "No.". Wether that was due to a lack of understanding my question, or just pure rudeness towards the customer, I do not know. They also forgot the plate of fries I ordered, but the waiter probably couldn't hear me over the music.
