So glad that we have booked to dine here on a Saturday night, we had an early seating and was pleased to do so as we stuffed ourselves to the bream as we walked out after a very satisfying meal
We were accommodated at the covered outdoor area which is ver pleasant space, I would prefer this dining space which had the casual feel, so be fitting to Darwin, than the low ceiling indoor dining room.
We went all out, we shared 3 entrees n 3 mains among the 3 of us.
Started off with trumpet mushroom which are stuffed with mince spicy pork, the chilli heat is just right. The nonya pork ball was next, I was disappointed as I was expecting pork pieces n these were made with mince n not enough fatty bits in them n they were too salty for my taste. Finally the samosa, they were nice n hot when they arrived at the table n tasty, the minted yoghurt went well with it. Pity about the salad, I blame that on Darwin weather
The mains came soon after the entree dishes being cleared, we choose red duck curry, goat rogan josh and dry curry eggplant.
The mains did not disappoint and they all had their own distinctive taste and method of cooking. The duck curry was Thai n the other were of Indian origin.
The sauce in the duck were plentiful and having pineapple n lychee added the sweetness to the dish and chilli heat once again was well balanced
The goat rogan josh was well cooked n still moist meat in a rich gravy of curry sauce
The dry curry eggplant was just perfect, rich gravy and moist eggplant, doing great justice to this humble vegetable.
We were too full to get tempted in having any dessert, what a pity, perhaps will just have to come back again
The staff were generally very attentive n swift in clearing the tables and the matre d perform her duties well n make us feel welcomed n when I told her I'm from Adelaide, she suggested that I should visit their south terrace venue. Pity that the Adelaide venue will not be as nice as here in Darwin as the ambience of the dining space is very much of a dining experience.
