We booked to stay at the Colonial House but were upgraded to the Boutique Residence. It was simply stunning! The hotel grounds and rooms, the restaurant and spa and even the pool were beautifully designed. The staff were extremely helpful and each and every member of the team we encountered couldn’t do enough to make sure our stay went smoothly. Our hotel room was amazing! It was so big with everything you could possibly want or need. The bathroom had twin sinks and a wet room shower and we even had a bath out on the balcony! We used the laundry service and found it to be reasonably priced and efficient. The food was absolutely delicious! The presentation was lovely and the service was perfect. Breakfast was lovely too with a huge selection to choose from. We only stayed for two nights but we managed to squeeze in a full body massage in the spa before we left. The ladies were lovely and did a great job which was much needed after a full day at Angkor Wat. Because of our limited time the hotel arranged a short tour of the temples which included a guide and driver. The same driver took us on a city tour on our last morning before taking us to the airport. Overall I’d highly recommend this hotel to everyone. You won’t be disappointed.

My daughter and I were booked at the Colonial House from 18 Feb untill 21 Feb. We were collected at the airport and transported to the Villa. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, allways greeting you with a friendly smile. Our rooms were beautifull and stylefull. The whole atmosphere at the Villa is peacefully and quiet. On the second day there was a problem with the drainage and the staff tried their best to rectify the problem for us. On day 3 it happened again. The receptionist phoned Srey Touch Phauk, the CEO for the HanumanAlaya Group to notify her of the problem. She personally came to see us from one of their other Hotels. She immediately offered us two rooms at the newly opened HanumanAlaya Boutique Residence as they did not have any rooms available at the Colonial House. The rooms offered to us was just as stylish and beautifull, though with a different theme. She also gave us a complimentary spa treatment for the inconvenience.|To Shrey and her staff at both hotels, well done on your client relations and making us feel wellcome from the moment we arrived untill the moment we were escorted to the transport taking us back to the airport. |Based on our experience I can honestly recommend both of the hotels if you are looking for a relaxing experience after a long day at Angor. The same can be said about the Spa!!!|I hope to return in the near future. Well done!!

We arrived in Siem Reap to be collect by car from the airport to the Hanumanalaya Colonial Villa.||A great experience from the start, Andrew greeted us and made us feel very welcome. His conversation and information about the area was excellent informing us of things to do, the history of the area etc.||||Arriving at the Villa , down a typical Cambodian side road, we were greeted by the staff. Their English was excellent and there were NO issues with communication.||A welcome drink, and not he usual sweet water, was given. We then arranged our "tour" - We opted for Andrew to guide and arrange this with us as the pricing , etc was good, & we would have no further hassle.||The accommodation was good, comfy bed, silent air con!! which was very welcoming after a days trekking around the temples.||The pool was spotless, and the pool side bar was very pleasant.Food was good, and pricing was no more expensive than Pub Street restaurants.||||The Villa is located about 10 mins from Pub Street, downtown by Tuk Tuk but we felt the location for the quietness etc was well worth not staying downtown.||Downtown is busy noisy and dusty.!!||||Hanumanalaya Colonial Villa is situated in a great location for easy access to the temples.||||Overall a fantastic break, great people, VERY polite and helpful.||||Yes I would go back and stay at the Villa or their other hotel - as we visited that for a spa treatment. ||Just a realxing, no hassell break, fantastic

We had a wonderful stay at Hanuman Alaya Colonial house. The staff was so attentive and kind to our 4 year old son, especially the friendly manager Mr Chay Boren who went out of his way to make sure that we had the most comfortable stay, even driving us to the airport at 6 am in the morning! The spacious rooms are exquisitely designed with very comfortable beds. A special delight/ discovery was the amazing food in the restaurant - we ate out several times but in the end we always preferred the food in the hotel - simply top notch!

We arrived at the airport and were met by a tuk tuk which took us all the way here, a wonderful welcome to the area. Stunning location, lovely rooms (with a welcome fruit basket, thank you!), very nice food from the breakfast and the restaurant, and nice cocktails at the bar,||The pool is small but perfectly formed, and was never really overcrowded when we visited, people are always out to visit the ruins! It was a great place to come back to after a long day visiting the temples, lovely and quiet, it felt safe too. Great hotel, lots of character, I wish I could have stayed longer.

Rooms are so excellent with unique furniture and very nice details. Good place for relax and silence. This is the best place for feeling " the spirit of Cambodia".

This place has personality!||||I wanted a hotel near the Angkor Park for the latter part of my visit. Besides planning to relax some, I also wanted to be closer to the park for biking there. (Starting closer means more energy for the day and shorter journey home!) They corresponded with me to pick me up at my first hotel, rather than having to hire for the journey.||||The lobby building has great charm. So much to see. (Rooms upstairs, too.) Also in this building is the spa. Feeling tight? Go ahead and get that massage. It's pretty good! Reasonable price at the time I was staying. Felt great, too.||||The compound is tranquil. The pool is tranquil. The setting is tranquil. (Get the idea?!?) The food is wonderful. The breakfast is from a menu and they include many components. It is quite filling for the day! Service was excellent. ||||Besides its own personality, the room had fresh fruit and a relaxing feeling. Bathroom was fine. Toiletries were good quality. ||||And, it was closer to the Angkor complex so I didn't have to get up as early to get there near sunrise. I biked more than once, and each bike had a basket and lock, no additional charge to use. (Just let them know in advance you'll want one. I didn't even have to let them know that far in advance, although I did mention it the night before the day I wanted it early.)||||On my last day I got a message. My flight was delayed an hour. Since the next person was not due until late, they let me stay in my room that additional hour; it was beyond check-out time. ||||They were very accommodating and helpful in all ways. You'll be away from the main city action, but you can get a ride in or bike ride in if you want to see the town. But, be sure to stay around some to enjoy the relaxing atmosphere as well!

Stayed here over the Khmer New Year holidays. Attentive staff went all out to make my stay an enjoyable one, starting with a phone call on the day I was due to arrive in Seam Reap to offer a complimentary pick up service. ||||Room was very big for the price I paid (what more, during a peak period). The pool was literally, 4 steps away. Tastefully decorated, nice little touches on the interior and a big, comfortable bed with fluffy pillows, the room was indeed a super value for money. ||||Breakfast offerings were good, with a decent selection to choose from.
