Hanwoo Haussmann – Korean BBQ for a Broader Palate
As someone from Asia who truly enjoys Korean food and eats it often—both at home country and in Korea—I was naturally drawn to Hanwoo Haussmann by the name. While real Hanwoo beef isn’t served here (understandably, since authentic Hanwoo is only available in Korea), the name still sets a clear Korean theme.
The overall experience feels like Korean BBQ adapted for international diners. The flavors are milder, and the menu is streamlined—no kimchi stew or ramyeon here. Instead, it focuses on grilled meats like beef, pork, and chicken, presented in a way that’s easy to enjoy even if you’re new to Korean cuisine.
The fried chicken was actually quite good, and the grilled meats are satisfying, though not heavily seasoned. If you’re craving deep, spicy, and bold Korean flavors, this might not be the place. But if you’re after a Korean BBQ experience in Paris that’s more approachable and less intense, it works well.
