Before anything else, I have to mention how amazing the food selection is at Hanyang Jokbal Mississauga.
Their jokbal and bossam are outstanding, and the garlic bossam is especially flavorful without being overpowering. The bul jokbal is a must-try, and I really appreciated that the spice level is fully customizable from Level 1 to Level 4, so everyone can enjoy it at their own comfort level. On top of that, their soup dishes (gukbap), sulguk, and jumukbap were all incredibly tasty and comforting perfect complements to the main dishes and drinks.
I had such a great experience at Hanyang Jokbal Mississauga, not only because of the food, but truly because of the people.
From the moment we walked in, every staff member greeted us warmly and made us feel genuinely welcome. The service was attentive without being rushed, and you could tell right away that the team actually cares about their customers. It wasn’t the “just doing my job” kind of service it felt sincere and thoughtful.
What really stood out was the owner and the manager. Both were incredibly kind, approachable, and clearly passionate about what they do. They took the time to check in, explain menu items, and make sure everything was perfect. You can feel that this restaurant is run with pride and heart, and that energy carries through the entire staff.
As for the food the jokbal was outstanding. No unpleasant smell at all, perfectly tender meat, and that chewy skin texture that’s hard to get right. The seasoning was balanced and authentic, reminding me of the jokbal you’d find in Korea. Everything from the side dishes to the dipping sauces was fresh and well prepared.
