Happy Angel Hotel

Took my laundry here and received lovely kind service. Good price and nice clean clothes in under 12 hours. Price was also really good, I paid just over 100k for 8kg of clothes. 10/10

Location wise, it is in the central area near to the beach, so getting to places via Grab is relatively easy. If you are comfortable with walking a few hundred metres, then the beach is within easy reach. The hotel does not face the main road, so you will need to get off and enter a small motorcycle lane to reach this hotel.||Space wise, the hotel is much more spacious than other hotels within the same price range, and is one of the few hotels I have encountered in Vietnam so far to give two pillows to each individual. The room (201) also had an absurd number of power sockets, twelve in total.|Which is a good thing, in case you need to set up an impromptu LAN session with your travelmates.||The bathroom is where the hotel starts to fall short. The shower gels and such come in satchel packets, which are almost impossible to open with wet hands. Good luck if you need to shower more than once in a day. The water was also tepid, and uncomfortable to shower in at night when temperatures are chilly. I rate hotels mainly on beds, hot showers, and service, so this affected my score for this hotel a lot.||Staff wise, the male receptionist was patient and attended to us adequately. There was a language barrier as none of the staff was fluent in English or Mandarin. The kitchen crew was much more cold, with silent stares and nary a spoken word or smile as she took our breakfast orders.||Which brings us to the complimentary breakfast. I will not recommend ordering the Pho, as the only thing I can say good about it is that it is free (and still edible). I will instead, suggest that you either take the pancake or the bread. Drinks are pretty meh, but drinkable.

Was at Happy Angel very recently and overall we are satisfied. Our room had a little balcony and the hotel itself is about 10 minutes walk to the beach, which isn't too bad considering there's a lot of things to see along the way. It's also set back in an alley so it isn't as noisy. Breakfast was limited (there were 3 choices, fried noodles, fried rice and bahn mi) but it did its job so no complaints there either. The owner was super nice, accomodating and spoke good English. If there was anything at all, I thought the mattress was a little too hard, but that's personal preference. Would I recommend Happy Angel? Yes. You're not going to be in the room most time anyway so jst for sleep and a shower (oh the shower was good too, pressure and all) it will suffice.

The hotel is really nice and clean. The staff super friendly and helpful! Our room was bright with a little balcony. Only 3 things were not so good: 1 the a/c blows the whole time on freezing mode, it doesn't matter which mode we were choosing. 2 the mattress is really hard. 3 there was mould in the joints of the sink

It is located in a lane, about twenty meters away from the main road. Therefore the guest can enjoy a less noisy environment. Although it is in a lane, but it is in the city centre. Furthermore, there are many restaurants in the adjacent area. It is about fifteen minutes walk to the beach.|I stayed there on 9 November 2017. The room was spacious and tidy. A breakfast was included in the room rate, it was not a buffet breakfast but it provided many choices for the guest. It was good enough for me.|The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. Moreover, the owner of the property is a Chinese, who can speak Chinese and English, he is very friendly.|Jump to a conclusion, it is on my list when I go back to Nha Trang again. It is worth of money.

Pro's The staff were polite and friendly ||Cons -This is not a hotel its a guest house which could be much better with some attention to detail. They need curtains that fit the windows, an ariel for the TV so your not forced to watch a grainy picture. They also need a new hot water system as the solar power they say they have only provided us with luke warm water. The tiles in the bathroom came straight from the seventies (multi coloured )and were quite depressing. The bin in the bathroom was unsuitable hence it left rust marks on the floor and the wooden trough attached to the window bars where very basic toiletries were provided is also an unsuitable eye sore. After a short while of use the air con blocked my nose and opening the windows did not help as very little air or light for that matter came in due to the buildings surrounding this guest house. Finally the breakfast was insufficient and there was limited choice. We only stayed two nights during which time no cleaning was done. I can not say this hotel was value for money as the hotel we moved to was of a much higher standard and we paid a lot less.

Room is contemporary decorated. And bedroom is very spacious. Bed is big and comfortable .The facility is quite new. But no cattle and no fridge, no safe.Bathroom is a bit small. Location is good walking distance to beach. And good thing is they have small restaurant underneath, so you can order some Chinese food and reasonable priced. If you are tired, you can just eat in hotel. But the service of this hotel definitely is the short fall. Receptionist by far the least informative about things tips when we first arrived. No one looking after our luggage, although they do have lift, so no big deal. But worst is the meal service, no one looking after you. The lady in kitchen doesn’t understand English at all. So hard to order food. And breakfast is made with instant noodle. Definitely not enough for anyone who is taller than 160cm. So you will be expecting to have breakfast outside again. And most importantly, no one looking after you during your meal. It is hard to request something. Overall very average experience, compare to other similar 2-3star hotel we stayed during the trip trough Vietnam.

This is very nice hotel with excellent service. In the city center close to many shops and popular restaurants. Only 5 minutes walking distance to the beach. The staff speaks English very well. They also have an in-house laundry service that I recommend. Enjoy.
