Missed their pastry. Revisiting this bakery after about 9 years (last trip to HK). Noticed that they had renovated the shop. The chicken pie and egg tart were still good. Bought many items back to our accommodation. Service was great. The yam mochi milk was nice too!

They have very good HongKong bread and pastries, particularly the crusty egg custard tart, the pineapple bun with butter and the barbecue pork bun. The bakery is neat and clean. We will come back for more bread

Great place to stop in quickly. The shop is clean and organized. Pineapple bun was soft and had a good crust. There were two types of egg tarts- cookie shell and the flaky crust. I opted for the flaky crust and was pleasantly surprised that they were in a heated case. They also had a deal for buying a coffee from their automated espresso machine for a combo price.

Famous for the cream cone I think the pistachio cream cone should put more pistachio inside The pastry is crispy not so oily The thousand year tart is also not bad A good quality bakery

A super friendly and literally happy family-run bakery! I enjoyed talking to them. They are all very passionate and knowledgeable about their products. I bought a lot of cookies, cakes and bread for friends and family. They enjoyed the traditional artisan HK style bakes which are hard to find these days. Got an egg tart for myself and ate it when leaving the shop. Very yummy and crispy. Flavourful and smooth egg filling.

Known for its delectable nostalgic treats such as cream cone puff pastry, this year's reopening has lured in numerous food enthusiasts from all corners of the city. Any connoisseur of traditional pastries would not be disappointed with their selection of timeless classics, including the beloved pineapple bun, egg tart, “chicken tail” bun…

Shuttered in summer of 2022 but reopened in Wan Chai shortly thereafter Happy Cake Shop remains a local favorite for Cream Puff Pastries plus Hong Kong classics such as Egg Tarts and Pineapple Buns. Now located at 68 Queen's Road East, staff still making Puff Pastry with Lard to create an extra crispy texture, owner Wong Siu-ping can frequently be found present from 06h30 or earlier until the small shop closes past 20h30. Also selling savory Buns, one filled with BBQ Pork larger and more generously stuffed than most, fans of Red Bean will find a sticky Pancake stuffed with it while those fancying Egg Tarts will find the Macau-style ones decent but bested by high-walled Cookie Crust versions with 50% more Custard.

The short hair woman is rude and racist. I went with my American friend. We asked about the hot bakery items in the window display. I spoke mandarin as I’m Taiwanese and she refused my question and said she only spoke English with her long face. So my American friend asked her the same question. However her English was so bad we could barely understand her. She ended up giving us the wrong item. The bakery also looks dirty and is way overpriced for the item. “HAPPY BAKERY”? No! “DISGRACEFUL BAKERY”?Hell YES!
