Wow! Me and my wife rented a camper van for 8 days. What a fantastic trip. I was a little anxious before we started the journey - would it be easy to find fuel? Could we find campsites? Food? No need to worry about any of this. There are lots of towns and villages around the island and most all have services such as fuel stations, grocery stores, restaurants, campsites and WC's.
We bought food to cook in the van at night. The refrigerator kept the food safe while we drove and explored. For breakfast we would have something simple in the van and lunch would be at a local pub or restaurant.
There are so many incredible things to see that I wish i could have stayed longer than 8 days! Waterfalls, glaciers, volcanoes, parks, mountains and canyons everywhere.
Last, I want to mention how helpful the staff at Happy Campers was. From the airport pick up, check in, check out, to drop off at our hotel, everyone was eager to assist and friendly. This was a great experience start to finish.
