Happy Campers

We rented a camper from Happy Campers to celebrate our Honeymoon (January 4th - 11th, 2026) and my husband an I had one of the best experiences of our lives! Traveling to Iceland was a dream come true but it was even better than expected. Driving around the country, getting to know the culture, experience the views, no rush, without having to worry about returning to one specific place, with all we needed in our camper, it was just wonderful. We even got to see the Northern Lights after chasing them with our camper the entire week! 💚 A big part of that was thanks to Happy Campers! The campervan was great, practical and the support team solves any issue you may have really quickly, 24/7. We had a small issue with a fuse in the campervan and they helped us to go through it very efficiently, that made our roadtrip smooth. We rented the Happy 2, with the Happiest Bundle (the most complete insurance, we wouldn't take anything else to drive around in the middle of Winter). For 2 people we were more than comfortable, the bed was cozy, the kitchen and utensils were appropiate and the heating worked perfectly. We would only recommend the Happy Campers team to include some hanging hooks in the camper's walls, to facilitate having some things handy like gloves, hats, scarfs, and not all over the place, as camping gets a bit messy sometimes. Also, at the Happy Campers office, they have a section were you can take things that other travelers left when their trip was over and that really helps a lot, to have a quick start until you can have your own groceries or other supplies. Special thanks to Arber and Marina, who were the Happy Campers staff that supported us in this first –and hopefully many to come–adventures, from Colombia to Iceland.

I did a solo trip through Iceland in October 2024 and had an incredible experience with Happy Camper. They set me up with a great van that was easy to drive and came fully stocked with everything I needed. Having a reliable setup made traveling alone way less stressful, especially with the changing weather that time of year. The van was cozy and practical, which made it easy to just focus on the scenery and the Northern Lights. The staff was also super helpful and made the whole rental process a breeze. If you’re planning a solo adventure, these guys are definitely the way to go.

Rented a Happy 2 for 7 days in Iceland Winter Februrary with Happy Campers, I think this is the best way to explore Iceland. Van was professionally equipped, and you have more than enough stuff to get your through your trip Had the best time, drive was smooth, reliable and the staff are super friendly + helpful for all the driving details and spots. Got a Happy Camper van for 12cday solo trip. Everything in the van worked great. Only issue was pick up at airport was waiting at 9:30 for 10 am pickup and never showed till about 1120. Got to Happy Camper and Bartosz went as fast as possible to get several checked in at once. Got on road and went to Blue Lagoon then to Bonus to stock up on some food items. Van was easy to handle and great road handling abilities. Would definitely do it again. Checking back in was fast and got to airport early.

Our vehicle was exactly what we needed on our trip to Iceland! We experienced it ALL! Rain, wind, northern lights, waterfalls, more wind and rain but safe inside our Happy Camper 3!! The supplies were great, duvets and sleeping bags so comfy and I would definitely recommend Happy Campers for anyone wanting to see as much of Iceland on your holiday as you can. I had a great experience with Happy Campers. They were very direct and hassle-free. Marina and Ola were very nice and quick with the check in/out process. The shuttle to/from the airport was very convenient, and a short ride to their facility. We rented the Happy 1 EX Auto, which was a bit “cozy”, but just the right size for 2 of us visiting in the early winter. I’m very glad they had just switched over to the studded winter tires, which were a huge help on icy and snowy roads. They also had plenty of extra blankets which I recommend stocking up on in the winter. Our van had the essentials, listed in their website, but was pretty bare-bones. We could have used a few more hooks or shelves, but we made it work no problem. Overall this was a very budget-friendly and memorable option to visit many parts of Iceland.

Had a wonderful time travelling through Iceland in my Happy 1 camper. The van has everything you need to be comfortable especially the heater on cold evenings. From the moment I arrived to the moment I dropped my van off the Happy Camper team were friendly and professional. Special mentions to both Eliska and Marina who I had dealings with on arrival and on departure with big smiles. Already planning my next trip to this wonderful country and I would definitely use this company again.

Our rental van was perfect for our 10th anniversary getaway! Happy campers might not be the cheapest rental agency in the country, but we were quite satisfied with the van that we rented from them and the amenities it included. We will definitely be checking with them again if we ever come back to Iceland!
