The fruit whip was SO GOOD. I know people said it was overrated but in my opinion it tasted exactly as good as it looked. It did come out to be $19 though… but I shared it with 3 friends so it was only about $5 each. I definitely recommend sharing the fruit whip but boy was it delicious.

Got a very special Chantilly Bitthday Cake for my gluten-free, dairy-free daughter’s birthday and it was soooooo perfect!!! The cake was moist and filling, and I scored even more “brownie points” when my daughter saw how beautifully decorated it was with the sweetest organic berries. When I called to place the order the owner was extremely gracious and amazingly accommodating with my special requests. HAPPY ZOE VEGAN BAKERY made a birthday, a very happy one 🎂 Now, my daughter and I stop by for treats and ☕️ when we’re in Greenpoint. The owner runs the bakery/café herself and everything is done with a touch of 💕Such a wonderful place!!!

I came in to order a vegan cake for my soon to be 8 year old and I didn’t even know what to order because everything looked just as good as it tasted. I ordered two cakes, 30 cake pops, two donuts , a chocolate cheesecake and two paninis that were made fresh to order with organic ingredients. The flavors- spot on. No heavy creams, the sugar was just perfect- not too sweet or too bland. I can’t rave enough about this place. It’s just a shame that I didn’t know about this bakery sooner. Will be back for their smoothies and frozen treats when the weather is warmer… a must try.

I’ve had a few different vegan cakes from other bakeries and Zoe’s by far has been me and my family’s favorite tasting cake. They’re delicious and beautifully detailed. This was for my niece’s 1st birthday. The kids and adults loved the cake. I just ordered another for my sister’s 40th birthday this Sunday. So good and worth it! (FYI: I added the name and happy birthday with the number 1 myself)

Theyve been in business for atleast 8 years, and it makes sense! They have incredibly delicious vegan gluten free options. I got to meet owner and it obvious she deeply cares about quality of her ingredients and the well being of her customers. I wish them continued success and hopefully they become the gold standard for a gf vegan donut or cheesecake.

I got the double chocolate cheesecake and it was absolutely delicious. The perfect amount of sweetness and a great texture. I can’t wait to get it again.

Happy vegan bakery has been getting so much hype on fruit whips recently once I saw the posts I had to try for myself,by now I have come here a few times I've also tried many different one you won't be disappointed with any!! I recommend checking them out.

I have visited this bakey and I became ill upon consuming the cupcakes. It was 5:30 when I arrived to purchase them . After arriving home upon consuming the cupcakes I noticed a shift in my immunity, I found it strange Zoe had a dozen cupcakes still available at 5:30 pm which is the time I purchased them being that she opens for business at 12:00pm . I also came across a persvative eating a cupcake which immediately disgusted me. She claims she doesn't use any persvatives . Be observant and mindful of what you are eating .

Good smoothies but took so long; there needs to be more staff or a change of strategy in taking orders.

My husband and I decided to have a small party after eloping on 5/2/25. About 2 weeks or so before hand we ordered a cake from Happy Zoe Vegan Bakery as I cannot have diary and we had a couple of other dietary restrictions amongst our 22 guests. The ease of ordering via email was fantastic! They respond quickly, and make sure to tell you all the options available. If you have a question about ingredients or size, they answer those too. Picking up the cake was easy peasy and they packaged it well so that it would make the journey back to Queens with no problems. The cake was so good that my "I don't eat vegan stuff" brother in law had 2 slices.

I have been coming here for at least eight years and this Wonderful Ladies never disappoint me with thier variety of flavors and creations. Organic ingredients, not only are their choices, healthy but they are delicious.. I would recommend their cinnamon bun and also to try their carrot cakes. My personal choice for a birthday party go to. Is there blueberry or strawberry shortcake.

complete waste of a 25 min ride for them to be out of whips & only be accepting cash. The website mentioned nothing about cash only for the time being. I'll stick with Mia's.

Incredible cinnamon rolls. Very good coffee. Frozen whip desserts are excellent and very healthy with no additives. We didn't really enjoy the panini sandwich or the chocolate cheesecake.

I came for their frozen fruit whip dessert. DID NOT DISAPPOINT. I wish I lived closer because I would eat it way more often. Light, creamy and fluffy with a fudgey swirl. Came at closing time so I couldn't see their pastries.

Vegan Gluten free, purely by necessity Compromise? Apparently not necessary!!! Just look at my sinfully indulgent lunch yesterday! What's the point of being a grownup if you can't have a donut and a cheese foam tea for lunch once in a while? Happy Zoe: putting the "happy" in my day.

I had a brownie and ordered a slice of cake and cheesecake which are all vegan. It was fresh and my friends loved it. I had the brownie which was okay but I believe I remember her saying they are extremely clean with their ingredients. Service was really chill and the place was cozy you can sit and read or enjoy your pastry there. I would go again to try other things. It is recommended to go early because most of the popular items are gone by the afternoon.

Ordered a 6" cake for my birthday. The team made a german chocolate pecan cake based on my requests, and replied to my emails promptly. The cake itself was delicious (and pretty large) and even the (very) non-vegans at the party loved it! Thank you happy zoe!

Very cool vegan bakery! The strawberry shortcake cupcake was delicious, and I'm so happy it was all dairy free!

The best vegan cake I've ever had! I was looking high and low to get one of my best friends a heart shaped cake for her birthday, vegan of course. Found Happy Zoe and reached out to see if they could make a custom cake for her. They were more than happy to make the exact cake I was seeking to get for her, and were amazing with communication and being thorough. My first question to them was 'can you make it heart shaped?' And they said of course no problem! My little vegan heart fluttered with happiness! The goal was to get her the cake she wanted and Happy Zoe delivered 100000%. We brought the cake to the restaurant and she was beyond amazed to see it! EVERYONE LOVED IT!!!!! Everyone was speechless on how phenomenal it was! I even asked her if I could take a piece home to go, I felt a little selfish since it was her birthday cake but one slice was not enough for me. I think this is going to be the new bakery spot where we all get our cakes from. Not only am I a little proud that I found it (hehe) but I am over the MOOOONNN to have found SUCH AN AMAZING BAKERY! It was honestly the best cake I have ever had and I am still thinking about it. My birthday is next and I was contemplating on ordering the same one, however I am going with a different flavor but nonetheless my man is ordering it from Happy Zoe. I am so incredibly excited for my birthday cake now, and excited to have any reason to purchase a cake so I can get more :))) If you're thinking of ordering from here, I hope my review has persuaded you enough to stop reading from here and just go ahead and order. Friendly staff. Great menu selection. Pleasant atmosphere. I had the pizza roll, cake and donuts. Food is incredible. All items are vegan. My dad who is not vegan enjoyed it very much. Highly recommend!

Our go-to place for delicious afternoon cake on a Sunday. I always order for birthdays and anniversaries and they never disappoint. They really care for animals and high quality ingredients and all their food is priced fairly, so I'd urge everyone to support them.

Absolutely amazing cafe with incredible variety of baked goods all without refined sugar. We also tried their take on soft-serve (called frozen whip). Can't wait to return to try the sandwiches. The owner Zoe makes wholesome and delectable cakes without refined sugar and other refined ingredients. It's so nice to find cooks or bakers who believe in making food without processed ingredients. We loved everything we tried. The berry cheesecake was super light and refreshing. The chocolate mocha plum cake was so balanced. Lastly the dragon fruit banana whip super yummy. Everything with coconut sugar or beet sugar! Also took home the raspberry zebra cake and cinnamon roll which tasted wonderful. The cafe is also super cute and lovely to dine in with tea and coffee.

Wow!! I've only had their raw banana frozen dessert but it is absolutely delicious! All the fruit is organic and the soft serve is raw and vegan. It's better than ice cream! The texture is amazing and creamy and the flavors are delicious. I'm excited to go back and try a few of the other flavors. The inside is super cute and has interesting decor. Some of the furniture is antique couches and sofas and some of the furniture is regular tables and dining chairs. It's a fun, quirky design. The woman behind the counter who helped us was super kind and patient with us as we asked her about the different flavors, how it's made, etc. The service was super fast and friendly, and it was a great experience. I look forward to coming back!

My daughter in law and I have both ordered cakes from Happy Zoe. They were so beautiful. Most importantly is they were SO DELICIOUS! All of the high quality ingredients blended so well. Perfect for special occasions, holidays or just to treat yourself! And, nobody gets hurt because all items are 100% cruelty free.

This place is amazing. After two years of seeing the posts on Instagram and Facebook, I got back East and drove 2 hours with a friend to check it out. It was so worth it! We had vegan panini-style sandwiches followed by one of the famous four layer cakes you see on FB and Instagram. The cakes tasted even better than the pictures! Then we bought some more for breakfast the next morning. The place is small but cozy, and the service was fast and friendly.

I live in the neighborhood, but as a vegetarian I never really had occasion to visit this lovely little shop until I needed a vegan dessert to bring to a family gathering in RI! I walked in, the lady behind the counter was very friendly and helpful. She showed me a number of options and we came up with a chocolate cake with raspberries. Simple but elegant! Later that evening, I realized that I had mistakenly ordered the cake for the wrong day! No worried, a quick phone call and a few texts later and the order date was changed! No fuss, great customer service! Picked up the cake, it was ready and looked lovely! She said the cake would be tall and this was no joke! Don't be fooled by the footprint, this thing was like a skyscraper. The cake was well packaged and made it to RI exactly as packed. Now here is the real treat... the cake was delicious! Both my vegan and non-vegan relatives could not stop talking about how good it was! I will definitely be back!

I walked here from Jackson Heights, Queens, and I was parched. I was looking for a place with some good, cold iced tea to refill my water bottle and refuel my soul. I popped in here and the lady behind the counter was super friendly and helpful. They were just about to close and she offered me the last of the special: hibiscus iced tea for free! That's amazing! I offered to pay, but she insisted. I will definitely be back, as the sweet treats in the glass case did look amazing! I believe they also have fresh eats - and it looks like a fun place to come and enjoy a bite! Happy eats!

There's nothing I love more than an all-vegan bakery. The chocolate raspberry cake was delicious and the slice was HUGE. We got there at the end of the day so missed a lot more of their items - I can't wait to come back to try more!

Great options!! Seems like most things are seasonal got to try their stack cake with carrots cake, cheese cake, chocolate cake and cookie toppings very interesting experience.

Yay found a vegan bakery! On my walk back home, impulsively decided to stop in and I'm glad I did. The cherry chocolate donut was quite filling and they really make it nice & sugary. Even without eggs, the bread was moist & chewy, and I liked the cream on top. Presentation made it only look okay, and wish they had more options, but would come back here if I was in the area.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE small businesses and really love good vegan food! I definitely recommend stopping in for at the very least, a baked treat! I had the crepe special- it was on the savory side with spinach and tofu- SO GOOD! I had to get desserts for later. It would have been nice to actually sit down and eat a meal but Covid stopped that from happening- so we took it to go!

I'm very impressed by this small cute bakery! While it may not see like much at first glanced when you enter, their cheesecakes are amazing. The portion sizes for the price you pay are worth it. Each slice was $7, but they also have mini options for less (I honestly can't remember the price I saw I think it was $4 though). I've included a few photos of the pastries I saw as well as an outside display menu of banana whips they make (so as you can see they have lots of options here to purchase). My bf got the chocolate chip cheese cake and I got the strawberry vanilla. It's just the perfect consistency and feels very filling like a regular cheesecake would, if not better since it's not super sweet. Ps they don't offer dine in btw so keep that in mind when visiting and masks must be worn at all times or they won't let you in! (Mentioning this just in case :3)

Ah.. Zoe! Such a breath of fresh air to have a bakery/owner like her! Placing a custom order with her was so easy and the cake was perfect! It was made in a timely manner and delicious. Her other baked goods are equally as delicious! Thank you, Zoe.

I've gone here a few times now and the customer service is always subpar and at other times - extremely rude. Food is average and fairly pricey, also the hours are pretty inconvenient if you're looking for a morning pastry. Most pastries are combined gf+vegan and they definitely have that gf grainy texture. Not worth it.

One of my favorite vegan bakeries- always have a variety of different cake slices (including raw options!), donuts, and cookies. Cake slices are huge! I haven't had anything I didn't like

Vegan deliciousness. My favorite was the lavender/vanilla donut!! Also, the chocolate cupcake was infused with almond extract (my fav!) and vanilla cream. Loved it! My friends (who I shared this bounty with!) loved the cinnamon bun. This bakery is mostly wholesale, but whatever they make in bulk they have left over in the case freshly made that day. Highly recommend!

I have been a vegan for 18+ years & this is hands down one of the best vegan bakeries I have ever experienced. The portions are generous, the prices are inexpensive, & above all the taste is incredible. There is an expansive selection including savory food & smoothies-so a meal + dessert! Everything is vegan so you don't have to think twice. The owner is so lovely & you know her heart is all for the animals.

Whatever this dessert is called it blew my mind. It tastes like peach cobbler but is a lot lighter and less sweet. It's a slice of heaven and the best thing about is it's vegan. The crust is soft yet crispy, the crumbs are sweet, and the fruit is semi-soft yet fresh. The pie wasn't overly sweet; it tastes very light and makes the perfect summer treat. It costs approximately $5 . Staff was very kind and patient. She answered all my questions and appeared happy to do so. I can't wait to go back and get another slice.

Nice small bakery/creperie with friendly staff Visited on a Sunday afternoon, there is a limited selection however what they did have on display was delicious! Currently take out only. Looks like they have small tables and lounge chairs but were all tucked off to the side. Pretty vegan donuts and a generous slice of Black Forest cake which was moist and not dry at all I also ordered their baked banana crepe. It was huge! In the first bite, you can sense the crunch of the slightly crisped crepe. The filling consisting of baked bananas and coconut is blended or mashed together, really giving it a mashed potato texture and look. I was bummed out that there were no sliced bananas in tact but the flavor is there nonetheless. Lots of chocolate sauce if you need to fulfill your sweet tooth. Would be willing to come back and try other things. Hopefully on a busier day when they have more to choose from

This place is AMAZING!!! My family and I order every week & every week we are astonished by the options and always trying new things because they don't repeat much if at all!! The portions are wonderful and the prices are just right. You get what you pay for in quality and the goods are always freshly baked!! I'm so glad to have found this place & I will keep returning! PS: the cinnamon rolls and the Apple pies are to die for!!! Our favorites!! Thank you HZV!!!! You guys rock!!

I was craving one of those fried and overly sweet Dunkin' Donuts type donuts while out and about in Brooklyn. A quick yelp search brought me here. Zoe's donuts are more like cake donuts and about 1/3 the size of DD. Not really what I was feeling so I went with a slice of their black and white cake instead. The cake was so bomb and so the right move. The inner layers of "frosting" taste more like a thick pudding and the cake itself is moissssst and there's a few layers with a blueberry jam. They cut you a big papi size slice for $7, but I ate still finished off bad boy in under 3 minutes.

They are definitely newbies. You can tell they're still nervous because they are shaky and hesitant with everything they do. Yet, the mother and two daughters who opened Happy Zoe's are charming and eager to share the desserts they love. They have minimal coffee options, lackluster decor, and they're right next to a lumber warehouse. Despite all of this, though, it's their adorable anxiety/ambition that makes me want to support them and watch them grow. My sister and I tried a mini almond cheesecake, which was tofu based and had coconut cream on top. We also got a slice of their chocolate raspberry cake. It was very good but the texture was strange since they use freeze dried raspberries instead of fresh. I also got a cinnamon roll to bring home. It was delicious but was my least favorite of the three because it didn't have enough yeast flavor or icing.

I've been to this place a few times for their cheesecakes and cake slices. They give you a really big slice for about $6-7. I just wish their customer service and phone communications were better. Maybe it's a culture or language barrier, but they don't answer the phone, and only send automated texts when you call to inquire about their bake items. And they do a bait and switch by posting different items on their IG page, then what's actually in the store for that day. I would never order a cake here, because if I'm spending that much for a cake, I would prefer to speak to someone on the phone if I had questions. Their in-store customer service sucks too, and the women are kind of rude who work the front counter. I was inquiring about a cake I saw on their IG page, and the woman rudely said "You have to send a message if you want that cake". I wouldn't go back to this place, unless I was in the area and was craving cake from a vegan bakery.

I took a glance at this place while walking over to Peter Pan's Donut Shop. On the way back, I asked myself, "Hell, how often am I really in Greenpoint?" Lightbulb went off in my head. Duh Olivia, you need to go in. ...And so I went in and ordered a hot chocolate & raspberry jam chocolate doughnut (mind you, after a HIIT workout, haha). Not going to lie, I thought the hot chocolate was a bit watery at first. BUT I took another sip and realized how rich & creamy it really was. I was amazed at how rich the flavor was, despite it being vegan. I've got to say, it's actually one of the better hot chocolates I've had! And don't get me started about the doughnut. Holy crap, one bite into it and I was in heaven! The fact that it was a baked doughnut, yet it was so moist & full of flavor blew me away. I think if someone else tried Zoe's products, they would've double guessed it was vegan. Bravo! Amazing! I can't wait to come back to test out your other foods! :)

Picked up a carrot cake for my mom's birthday this morning. It was so delicious, the entire family loved it, even my non-vegan brother which is a true win :)

If you want lovely service and amazing cruelty free food this is the place for you! They have a ton of different desserts such as cake, donuts, brownies, muffins, and many others. But what really stands out is the paninis, sandwiches and special meals. The women working at Happy Zoe are sweet, and very personable. I always come in here with a smiling face greeting me at the door. As a person who is vegetarian, it is very hard to fill the cravings of deserts and this place does it every time.If you're ever in the part of Greenpoint I 100% recommend this place ! :) P.s try their donuts their my all time favorite !!!

Made a stop here as part of a donut tour of Brooklyn. This vegan everything bakery really blew me away. While I didn't try anything beyond two different donuts, the texture and taste were extremely decadent. Think cake donut with a good flavor coming from the icing and toppings. If you've been skeptical about vegan donuts or vegan bakery items, I would give this place a shot before you write it off. It may make you into a believer.

I will give this 4.5, Because this is the best vegan cake shop that I have found but the selection is not always top notch. And the rating is only for their slice cake, which I had was chocolate vanilla flavor. It was so moist and deliciously creamy. It wasn't sickly sweet like clementine Bakery can be .... this was just so good. I also really liked their donut it was chocolate raspberry and was so good. But skip the coffee or the cinnamon roll I wasn't a fan. I know they make a lot of cheese cakes which am not a fan of so never really tried it. But would love to see more cake flavors throughout the day. Definitely check it out it's one of the best tasting vegan cake. It's unbelievably equally vegan and delicious.

Was in search for a vegan birthday cake for my sister and came across Happy Zoe! I called 2-3 hours before closing and they only had one cake left. It was a Chocolate lemon cheesecake I believe? Couldn't remember but all I remember it was delicious. The owner was nice enough to let me reserve the cake over the phone. My family that are all non-vegans loved it so much as well. Highly recommend this bakery if you're looking for vegan options!

I LOVE Happy Zoe's! Phenomenal food, so creative and delicious! Everything is entirely plant-sourced / vegan, which is fantastic! The best vengan cakes i have ever tried, isn't the first time I've tried, I'm never disappointed... I recommend this place, specially for those who are sensitive to gluten, my mom is and she never complains the next day.
