"East Meets Oud-West at HappyHappyJoyJoy Although it's in Amsterdam 's Oud-West, you'll feel like you've landed somewhere in the Far East when you dive into the Asian-inspired street fare at HappyHappyJoyJoy. The latest brainchild of Chef Julius Jaspers of TV's Top Chef fame, as well as the inspiration behind such popular Amsterdam hotspots as Julius Bar & Grill, Supperclub and Nomads, features a fusion of Asian flavors in starter-size dishes with Thai, Malay, Vietnamese, Indonesian, Chinese and Korean influences. Bring a few friends and order two to four dishes each for an evening of tapas-style sharing. Choose from typical dim sum specialties like steamed dumplings and spring rolls. Or opt for bao buns, curry and noodle dishes, salads, soups and sweets, all spiced according to your taste. A selection of Asian sodas, teas and beers rounds out HappyHappyJoyJoy's drink menu. The restaurant serves lunch and dinner, for dining in as well as take-out. But why would you want to eat at home when you can dine in buzzing surroundings in an upcoming Amsterdam neighborhood, with a view of sizzling woks and hissing steamers, under a ceiling of bright red umbrellas?"

The restaurant looks nice, small plates type. Service was a bit slow, it was quite hard to get the server's attention (server's always changed). I felt like it was a bit of a rip-off, servers were pointing out the most expensive stuff on the menu and prices are too high for what you get. Ramen - not very tasty Burger - delicious Dim sum - delicious Juice - delicious

Google
Good Asian Restaurant in Amsterdam. Really enjoyed the bao buns. The staff was quick, attentive and friendly. Besides the bao buns and the dumplings (dim sum) we also had some red curry, spring rolls and the pad thai. The pad thai was my least favourite but still good. Overall a great place. Worth a visit if you are in Amsterdam. They also have other locations in the city.

Google
Amazing and uniquely designed food, with great choice between all Asian cuisine as well as fusion and local. Waiting time wasn’t long and we found a place for two even without booking although it’s recommended. The atmosphere is incredible and the decorations are one of a kind. Worth the price, although it’s not the most expensive.

Google
What a fun and literally joyful establishment! The decor is enough to bring a smile on ones face. Add to that the good service and delicious variations on Asian streetfood and you will definitely leave happy. There are enough great options for vegetarians. Definitely a must. Thumbs up!

Google
Variety of food (Thai, Indonesian, Malay and Chinese) to choose from the different courses. Food was good but the service of the staff stood out as very friendly and helpful as they also accomodated my request to replace the baby corn with the bamboo shoots in one of my dish. Recommended for a nice Asian cuisine experience.

Google
A mix of dishes from Asian countries. Best dim sum I've had in amsterdam. The crispy shrimp balls were amazing, so were the steamed scallop dumplings. If you've got room go for a dessert you won't be disappointed.

Google
Great service and friendly staff. Most of the dishes I tried are super tasty. Make sure to have a reservation if you’re a mid size party or larger. Great for drinks as well. For more experiences like this follow @quiquinnv

Google
Insanely good food. Beyond expectations. Service was fine, not great. Interior is a bit cheap, however it fits the vibe. Prices are a little pricey, but worth the taste.

Yelp
Fun, exciting and tasty restaurant in Oud-West. As they say, "you don't know what you have until it's gone". Although it's not gone, with all restaurants closed, this is only available for take-away. But when I did eat here many times, it was a lot of fun, great 'small plates' and a good, full bar. Friendly, enthusiastic wait-staff too. They were offering free ginger shots last week! Great location on the Bilderdijkstraat near Kinkerstraat and The Food Hallen. I can't wait for it to fully reopen!

Yelp
My wife and I had a very good meal at this place. We had the Chon Khun spring rolls, Har Kau dumplings, Duck Gyoza, stir fried chicken (Gai Pad Med Mamuang Himmapan), some Pad Thai Kung noodles and Mango Bao for dessert. It was all very tasty, but apart from the dessert, which was deliciously different, it was pretty much what you would expect from an Asian fusion establishment. We had a bottle of Viognier to go with it. It all worked out at about £35 a head, which in my book is pretty reasonable compared to London. I strongly support the recommendation in other reviews that 2.5 or 3 dishes per person is the right amount to order unless you are fiendishly hungry. The experience of the slightly above average food was greatly enhanced by the great service and the fascinating decor (see photos!). Overall it was a great evening and I am very grateful to the person who recommended it.

Yelp
The food was so disappointing. After a long travel - we wanted a nice meal. The chicken was fried and hard with a heavy batter and made it dry. I expected fresh chicken and moist. The short ribs over rice was a mush and weird, we couldn't even eat it. The pad Thai was dry and the tofu tasted stale. The curry was ok but a bit watery. The fried rice had so much fried chicken in it you cousins the rice! It should have been fresh chicken not fried chicken with the hard batter in it - couldn't really eat it. So disappointing.

Yelp
Vegan Review: The jackfruit bao was so delicious, it blew my mind. The patty was crispy, the cabbage with sweet peanut sauce was crunchy, and the bread was soft. The flavors work together so well. The atmosphere in the restaurant is cool and trendy so it was a great choice for my partner and I on our date. I do not recommend the rice and veggie with pumpkin dish (I forgot the name.) It was served as a ball of rice with uncooked veggies on the side. If I had gotten only that, I would have had a bad impression of the food there. Everything else was great and my partner loved the dumplings!

Yelp
My friends had been here before so we came for dinner on a rainy autumn evening and we had an awesome time. We ordered many plates to share. We loved the Shao Mai (steamed dumpling of pork, shrimp, Chinese mushroom, goji berry), the Crispy Softshell Crab (steamed yello bun with crispy softshell crab, shibazuke, furikake, wasabi sesame seeds, yuzu mayonnaise) and the Duck Gyoza (steamed and fried dumpling with duck). The softshell crab was a highlight. To drink, I tried the fruity Umeshu Plum Wine and it was quite sweet but very good. They also gave us tap water when we asked for it. The ambiance was very cool. The decor was perfect for the restaurant and the Friday night let's go out vibe. It was also super crowded but the waitstaff remained very friendly and we always had someone when we needed something, such as ordering more food, which we definitely did.

Yelp
One of the coolest looking restaurants I've ever been to! Their menu is of Asian fusion food which includes dim sum, which is one of my faves so that got me really excited. Shao Mai (aka Shumai)- My most favourite dim sum dish. Definitely one of the better ones I've had, really anywhere. One con is that one order included just 3 pieces. Would've been better to serve 4 to make an equal portion for a party of 2 especially. 5/5. Har Kau (aka Har Gao) - Second most favourite dim sum dish. Again, only served with 3 pieces. I don't remember much of the flavour, to be honest, so I guess you can say it was a little on the bland side. 3.5/5. Peking Duck Bao - I was expecting an actual bao stuffed with Peking Duck. Instead, it was more like a pulled duck burger with a boa bun. Size was a bit bigger than a slider, so to me it was the perfect size. I think I would've preferred if it were the traditional bao, but then again it is a fusion restaurant so I appreciated the uniqueness of it. 4/5. Cha Ha Yun (crispy shrimp balls) - This was probably my favourite one of all the items we had ordered. If you enjoy fish balls or fish tofu, this is a must-try. Has the same interior texture but the bonus of having that very crispy golden outer layer. And when you dip it in the spicy mayo? Yummy!! Would go back just for this. 5/5. Mango Bao - Sounded incredibly unique to me so I had to order it and I'm glad I did. The bao was deep fried to a golden crisp so it was a little bit on the greasy side. The ice cream and mango sauce, however, gave it a nice balance. Definitely enjoyed this one. 5/5.

Yelp
First off the decor was SO cute!! All red colored w/umbrellas, neon signs, etc. Made the restaurant have a really great, trendy atmosphere. The food was really yummy (not just Thai a mix of Asian foods). Pretty pricey for small dishes. RECOMMENDED: (loved the prawn chips that were free LOL), green curry, fried chicken wings, chicken bao PASS: pho (really small portion, bad noodles, bad soup flavor)

Yelp
My husband and I have been wanting to try HappyHappyJoyJoy because it looked like a fun atmosphere and it was a new Asian restaurant in the city. Food: The menu had a variety of Chinese, Thai and Vietnamese. We ordered the following: Lemon Squid (7€) - These were fried and was good. Shao Mai (6€) - They tasted just ok, but they were too big in size. They were the biggest siu mai I've ever eaten. Har Kau (7.50€) - These were ok, nothing special. Hot and Spicy Shrimp (11€) - This was a small bowl and way too expensive for what it was. The dish was a bit too lemongrassy for my taste. Crispy Chicken Bao (5€ each) - This was the winner of the night. The chicken is fried and everything in the bao works beautifully and is very tasty. We liked it so much we ordered another one. Drinks: We ordered one Kirin Ichiban beer (5€) and two glasses of rosé (13.50€). Price: 64.50€ Service: Very friendly and attentive which is hard to find in Amsterdam. Ambiance: Lively and hip, but a bit too kitchy for me since I'm Asian. One issue I had with the decor was that one of the posters on the wall was of the Korean alphabet which at first I thought was nice because I'm Korean...BUT...1) They don't have any Korean dishes on their menu and 2) Half of the posters were upside down which is a bit offensive to me. If you're not going to put them up correctly or even do the research on what poster you bought then don't put it up at all. And yes, I did tell the manager. Would I go back? Maybe. It's expensive for what you actually get, but I would go back for the crispy chicken bao buns.

Yelp
Decor is adorable and service is great. Shrimp was good but probably the worst pho I've had ever. Price is so overpriced for portions it's almost laughable coming from an Asian

Yelp
One of those meals you love at the moment, then immediately feel uncomfortably full until lunch the next day bc of how much you ate. I had reservations at 5, and it was not busy at all. Around 7 it was packed though. - Trendy, hip decor - Decent food, but overpriced, I might just be spoiled with amazing inexpensive asian food in SF - Only one cocktail, more of beer and wine menu, and sake (avoid the sparkling one, it was wayyyyy too sweet) - Do not over order! You will want to stop eating for life if you did what we did, heavy food - Order pulled pork bao (chefs special), spicy beef curry Most of the items we ordered were fried. Those are the ones you want to avoid. Unless you want to feel like you can't breathe from being so full when laying in bed at night.

Yelp
To enter Happyhappyjoyjoy is a lot like opening a door to a different universe. The warm, red light creates a welcoming and magical atmosphere. The name itself puts a smile on my face, and so does the waiter that enters our table few minutes later. Hi presents himself; and let us know that we can shout out whenever we need anything. We were 5 people, and order several dishes to share. We had sugar snaps, rice noodles, chicken wings, meat balls, fried seafood and veggies, pork buns and more.. I loved the rice noodles and the buns! For dessert I had the mango sorbet bun. It was sweet, crunchy and refreshing, but not outstanding. Most of the food was good, but not super delicious. However; would definitely go back to explore more dishes from the menu.. The place is very busy in the evening. Still; the waiter gave perfect service, and only one of our orders was a little delayed. Happyhappyjoyjoy is a great pick for a friends night out. Will also come back for more of that lovely plum wine!

Yelp
if you're not familiar with asian food but know you like most general dishes, you'll love this place! if you know asian food, you'll say...MEH like i did. But i do love one of their dishes and that's the pork belly bao. I could eat two of them and call it a meal. Streetfood this place is not, overpriced food..definitely! Expect to pay at least 25 euros for your meal and probably walk out wanting more to eat, our whole table did. Positive, fun decor.

Yelp
I had high expectations after I was I told that our reservation was booked two weeks in advance. The atmosphere was lively and hip with a cool decor. We went tapa style with our meal ordering a bunch of small dishes. The Baos were excellent and the peking duck in particular was exceptional. The dishes were a tad expensive for what you get. Service was friendly. I would return.
google avatar

Sun D.

Yelp
Food was sub par. The meat had a weird texture. Got food poisoning. Giving stars for the service only.
google avatar

Stephen H.

Yelp
As usual - you'll want to order 2.5 dishes per person otherwise you'll have too much food. Service is very fast and friendly, and the decor really contributes to a hip and relaxed atmosphere.

A M.

Yelp
This place was pretty solid Asian Fusion food. We had some dim sum, Thai and Chinese food. We ate family style which I highly recommend. Many of the dim sum dishes come out as three. I will never understand why restaurants do this as it is a rarity to have 3 in your party. Most parties are 2 or 4...so why 3 pieces? I honestly don't think you can go wrong with any of the dishes but I highly recommend the duck gyoza, veggie tempura, duck bao and green shrimp curry (careful though, it's Thai spicy not American spicy). The service was solid and the ambiance was really good.

Yelp
A great overall experience!! A Cool, high energy restaurant with yummy Asian influenced cuisine. We loved the Peking duck bun, the Tom Kha kai soup & shrimp dumplings. Small plates that come out quick. Order as you go! Toby was an excellent server that was attentive and Friendly! I highly recommend Happyhappyjoyjoy Can't help but love this name too!

Yelp
HappyHappyJoyJoy are trying to serve up some westernized pan-Asian dishes in a setting that should be fun and relaxed. The main reason to come here is perhaps the atmosphere, the place looks nice and inviting so in that they succeed. It is a bit tricky to get an overview of the menu but the main idea is at least to serve dishes from large parts of Asia (I at least noted things from Vietnam, Japan, China, Thailand and Indonesia). The dishes are meant to be shared but asking staff for guidance on how much to order is not much help as the answers are more along the lines "I don't know how hungry you are" etc Based on the food we had I would say count minimum 3 dishes per person. Portion sizes were in general smaller than I expected for the price level. Quality varies with some dishes being good (gyoza, beef rendang and the duck bao) while most others being mediocre or just plain boring (fried rice, vegetarian bao, szechuan beef, chicken curry). Overall it may be interesting to try for people who have never been to any of these Asian countries but do not expect any genuine or good food experiences here. Service was also pretty poor, food took a long time and when asking waitress about some dishes (ordered first but not arrived after 1 hour) the response was just 'I don't work in the kitchen so how would I know when or if it will come'. That sort of attitude is perhaps not suitable for someone in a service profession. So taking quality of food, value for money and service into account I cannot really recommend it.

Yelp
I have never experienced worse service in my life than at this restaurant. Our assigned waiter only approached us at the beginning, then we waited 35 minutes to get the attention of another waiter to take our order. We didn't end up getting our food until an hour and a half after sitting down at the restaurant, and they also forgot one of our items but it was still placed on the check at the end (with no knowledge from our waiter that he forgot to bring it out to us). The food was average, not worth the hype that people say about it. Other than the pretty wall decorations, I recommend spending your money at a different place with better service where you will get more for your money.

Jay C.

Yelp
Great place but the food seems to be too pricey for how much they give you. They recommend getting 3-4 dishes per person, but to be honest, save your money and get two.
google avatar

Tinta V.

Yelp
We had a lot of smal things which is nice but they are rather expensive for what they are even for Amsterdam. Packchoi steamed - just that 4€.... I mean .. come on! And we got cold and raw non cooked chicken dumpling. they exchanged it but yeah you have allready a mouth full. They apologized but no proze reduction nothing. I mean which kind of worse mistake can you make?
google avatar

Roxana G.

Yelp
Very nice place. Tasty food and friendly staff. You can choose from a lot of small dishes. Usually 3-4 dishes equals a meal. But, for example pad thai is more than enough if you are not very angry. Thai coconut soup is also very tasty. And duck dumplings also veeery nice. For something sweet, try the rice pudding:)

Rebecca A.

Yelp
The restaurant is really cool on the inside! We had a reservation here, which I recommend because it was pretty crowded around 7PM on a weekday. The food was good the portions are small since I think it's supposed to be a shared style. The only issue we found was that all the plates come out at different times. This shouldn't be a huge issue if everyone is sharing the snacks, but when the portions are so small and there is a larger group it's awkward because we ran out of food quickly since the plates were coming so slow. The individual burgers came at different times which again isn't a big deal because we were all adults and didn't argue over who should get the first one, but it was a little unfortunate because everyone is hungry. One plate came out at least 25 minutes after all the others (it was just one single burger) and we had already asked for the check and to cancel the order because it seemed like it would never come. They had to get the manager to cancel it and take it off our bill, but they did thankfully. I would recommend coming here if you aren't starving, which I think was our first mistake. Like I said, the portions are smaller and plates come out at staggered times so it's hard if you're super hungry. I would love to come back here for drinks though. We had a few cocktails and they were great! The bar and restaurant aesthetic is super cool.
google avatar

Rodger W.

Yelp
We had a reservation, but we were an hour late... The most cooperative waitress tried seating us anyway which wasn't easy, because the restaurant was quite busy, but she managed finding us a table. Great! The place is a colourful one, a concept done by a famous Dutch TV-chef. Quite hip, like you can tell from all the pictures people post, but really fun. The food is hip Asian street style. Little Asian snacks you can share with whom you're dining. Dishes are really good and tasty. Nothing extraordinary or exceptional, but all very nice. And staff was most friendly. This nice, busy and colourful restaurant is perhaps not situated exactly in the center of town, but worth the tram ride!

Yelp
AMAIZING!!!! You have to go there for sure! I went to spend my birthday and reserved the boardroom so it was great to have some privacy, so how it works is that you order like 3 dishes and are really small and you share it with the rest of your table!! And then keep ordering till you have enough, everything that we order was amaizing!!! I really enjoyed everything from this place!!! And the staff so friendly! You do need reservation is always full!

Yelp
Oooooh happyhappyjoyjoy so happy with many food selection from countries of Asian. I was hope for happyhappyendingedning (in mouth!! tee hee) But my stomach not so happyhappy or joyjoy after come here with friends of many. Menu have much favorites from different countries, but no execution good for each dish. Maybe better stay with one asian country and do well? My belly more happy if restaurant have small selection but yummy derecious dishes!! Me think visitors who have not much experience on Asian food will like this place, but if you one who love good Asian cuisine and know well different Asian food, you no like here so much. Very noisy also. AAAAAAAHHH! I like concept but me no come again.

Yelp
I've only heard good things about this restaurant, but it seems we didn't go on a good night. We made a reservation and still had to wait 20 minutes to be seated - when we were seated they gave us a table for 2 instead of 3. We managed to finish a whole bottle of wine and started on the next one before the food arrived (no serious complaints there - but seriously.) All in all, the food was good and the waiter was friendly but I don't think I would go back.
google avatar

Kathryn N.

Yelp
I love the decor - food was not bad but a bit bland. I expected more flavour from the spices. Still I think I would be back, the Bao's were the best things we had. Try the mango dessert Bao.

Yelp
Happyhappyjoyjoy!!!its The first thing that comes to your mind when you walk into this new restaurant in kinkerstraat!! It's lovely and full of colours, mostly red, the good luck colour in China! They are aiming to offer Asian street food and the ambiance does resemble the hecticness of Bangkok or Hanoi. I was with a rather large group of friends so we pretty much order the whole menu......the concept is something very popular in Amsterdam yet I am not fully convince by it. Following the idea of sharing and tapas (why everybody refers to tapas as a small portion?, when tapas are normally free food to go along your drink) you order a lot of small dishes, with the obvious consequences to your bill......I really liked the bao and their selection of dumplings specially their duck ones. Also the shredded sichuan beef and the curry was very tasty. Their drinks menu is also pretty good with mostly Asian beers. The Overall the experience was good, with the only downfall of rather small portions at a rather high prices. They recommend 4 dishes per person at an average of 7€ per item plus drinks..... You do the maths.

Yelp
Happy Happy JOY JOY is the new joy of Amsterdam food scene. Opened a few weeks ago, the restaurant is owned by a famous Dutch chef - Julius Jaspers. Reading about him, I found out the inspiration for the concept came out of his travels through some Asian countries- such as Vietnam, Thailand and China. Menu is quite large with steaming pans, sizzling barbecues and hot woks all cooked in a large open kitchen. I had my dear Vietnamese friend with us, so we simply let him decide for all. Need to say everything we tried was super tasty. As it's a tapas style ordering, try to fill your table with a big assortment of plates -you'll never regret any of them. One downside is the noise inside. It was quite packed made it even hard to hear each other. I wouldn't suggest the restaurant for a first date;)

Peggy R.

Yelp
Food was overpriced for the portion size, service was slow, and the quality of the dishes was not what I expected. The tables are cramped together and the restaurant is very loud. We called it quits after 3 dishes because we weren't satisfied with our meal and left feeling hungryhungrysadsad.

Yelp
Ok, seriously this was my favorite meal in Amsterdam. The atmosphere of this restaurant is amazing; its cozy, with chic vibes and great decor. The wall/ceiling decor was awesome- it gives the restaurant such a fun feel. The food was also great; the menu is a bunch of small plates, so you can order a bunch and share with everyone. This is my favorite ordering style at a restaurant. The bao buns, soup dumplings, and pad thai were our favorite dishes. Everything was amazing, though; you really can't go wrong. Overall, the food was amazing, and the ambiance was even better. Will definitely be back!

Michelle M.

Yelp
The atmosphere is really great. The food was also very good. The service was good as well. My problems with this restaurant are serving size and price. This is supposed to be a "tapas style" place and yet the dishes we ordered weren't easily shared. We ordered a spring roll for (I believe) over 5 euros and it was ONE spring roll. Sure it was a good spring roll...but...come on. Same with a bao sandwich. One small bao. How is that shareable? I get the feeling this place is more of a late night hang out, snack while drinking type place than an actual dining destination. In all of Europe this is the only place where we left hungry -- and we aren't stomach-stuffing eaters. Would recommend for drinks and a snack because the decor is so cute.
google avatar

Barney M.

Yelp
Firstly I want to say that I liked this place. The food is good, not excellent but it's definitely tasty. My major gripe with the menu is that if your a vegetarian then you will be left very disappointed. I really would not recommend it to a vegetarian (even if you eat fish the menu is extremely limited) There are maybe 6 dishes to choice from and they are all very average "standard" Asians dishes like spring rolls, fish cakes or edamame beans. The place it's self has clearly been designed by Concrete. It's fun, colourful and ticks the Asian streetfood feel but it's just to polished and over considered for my liking. In places it feels more Disney-esk themed than urban Asian hangout. Don't get me wrong the design is nice and for most it will be on-point but if you have been to other Concrete designed restaurant then it smacks of their formula so you start to feel like your dining in a chain store. I recommend people who like Asian tapas style food to go check it out but veggies beware and let's hope they update the menu soon!
google avatar

Olivia K.

Yelp
Ugh this place. All I can really say is ugh. Extremely disappointing. Really cool inside so I was excited for some good Asian fusion. Upon being seated we asked our server for English menus and she looked around for about 1 second and returned and said "sorry we don't have any English menus available right now". I got up, went to the table directly next to ours and found English menus. The food was also extremely boring and bland. Nothing exciting about this Asian fusion restaurant or whatever they are claiming to be. Skip this restaurant and you will be thankful you went somewhere else
google avatar

Yelp
Really enjoyed our meal here. Definitely need to book though. Atmosphere and decor is cool and fun with lots of locals. We shared a bunch of small dishes but definitely the buns were our favourite. The dishes are a bit overpriced but overall our bill was average for Amsterdam pricing. Service was not bad. Took a while to order and they forgot my drink but food came out relatively quickly once we put our orders in. I would return.

Yelp
I loved pork long before hipsters did. To my Dutch-Indonesian family pork is just as desirable as caviar is to the rich and famous. My mother used to make the best sate babi on earth: juicy pieces of marinated pork grilled to supremacy. Served with a dip of soy sauce, garlic and onions. Disastrous to your breath, but finger-licking good. Her babi ketjap, ultra tender chunks of pork in a soy sauce with fresh ginger, is pretty unforgettable too. I say: babi rocks. At Happyhappyjoyjoy the cooks are well aware of that very important fact. They put pork in their dumplings with shrimp and their lotus leaves filled with shrimp and sticky rice. However, I think the ultimate pork dish at this vivid Asian street food spot of celebrity chef Julius Jaspers is the slowly braised pork belly with five spices: cinnamon, star anise, fennel seed, Szechuan pepper and cloves. A refined five-star pork that will make your heart melt.
google avatar

Aby C.

Yelp
this place has hands down the best dumplings I have ever had in my whole entire life. 10/10 perfection. YOU HAVE TO GO.
google avatar

Simeon V.

Yelp
Happyhappyjoyjoy could better be called hipsterhipstersoso, the food is soso, it is ok but can be better, the portions are not enough. Operations is one big chaos. Different waiters at our table, a stressed manager, waiters which drops stuff, confused looking workers and you will receive the dishes seperately. So seperate that after you have had your main course, your snack will arrive 20 minutes later. I don't get the hipster vype. I am tired of it, especially if the service and food is not the best. Go to a normal Thai or Chinese restaurant I would recommend.
google avatar

Felipe M.

Yelp
The food is pretty average. You won't be disappointed, but don't expect being surprised. The place is not that comfy, with tables pretty close to each other, but that is not a big problem. The waiters and waitresses were lost on the space, and they didn't share the space between themselves. That lead to confusion on who to ask and ordering stuff double/stuff not arriving. What really disappointed me was the price range, since it's supposed to be a regular price place. Don't ever go there if on low budget. There are several other restaurants on the city with better quality/price ratio.

Jonny M.

Yelp
Definitely one of my favorite Asian restaurants in Amsterdam. They offer Asian Tapas, which are great for sharing. The food is deliciousss, staff is super nice and attentive. Restaurant is a bit overpriced and the toilets were hardly soso.

Yelp
My husband and I were intrigued with the title of the restaurant being the theme song to our favorite childhood cartoon, Ren and Stimpy. However, we later learned that the restaurant has nothing to do with the cartoon. Nevertheless, they have the best lemongrass, ginger, and cinnamon saison beer. We especially loved the crispy chicken! We will definitely be coming back here!

Yelp
Nice place to hangout with friends in a relaxing atmosphere... Food is good but not extraordinary. Tjien Kauw (fried dumpling beef) and peking duck are definitely woryh trying. Service is average and the prices are bit on the high side.

Yelp
Really fun spot with a great mix of different asian cuisines. We enjoyed that they had many vegetarian options and truly something for everyone. Would recommend for a casual and relaxed dinner!

Yelp
The food was ok. Not really authentic but I respect the attempt of Asian street food. The service was really poor though. The server could really earn more money from us. We sat there 4 hours and had 2 drinks each. It felt like we weren't welcome. It was very hard to get attention. Even when we wanted to pay. We gave him enough signs that we wanted the bill. Even after putting on our coats they didn't drop by with the bill. We could've walked away but of course we didn't. No appreciation for the tip too. Even though he didn't really deserve it.

Yelp
Not like the dim sum you have in Hong Kong. Our diner did taste good, but for us it did not compare to actual authentic Asian street food. On the other hand this place is very nicely designed, the decorations are really beautiful and the lighting is relaxing. Enjoy a refreshing yuzu soda if you choose to come here!
