Happynest Hostel

My stay at Happynest Hostel in Chiang Rai was delightful. Arriving in the evening, I experienced a serene atmosphere—perfect for winding down. The online booking led to a swift check-in process, and the reception and café staff were incredibly sweet and accommodating. Also it is 7-8 minutes walk from bus station terminal 1. One of the things I appreciated most was the lack of crowds; there were multiple cozy spots to sit and unwind. The common areas offered ample space to relax and socialize. The rooms were comfortable, with cozy beds, and the bathrooms were spotlessly clean. Overall, it was a pleasant stay. What I particularly loved was their provision of bicycles, available for free rides, and the option to rent bikes through them. It’s a great way to explore the area! I’m attaching a few pictures to share the vibe. Highly recommended for a peaceful and enjoyable stay in Chiang Rai!

Amazing stay! Stayed in a private double room for a week and it was perfect. The location is near the city centre, the rooms and hostel areas are super clean, staff is very friendly and helpful and overall the design is very cool. The food is very nice including breakfast and beverages. Nice relaxing chilling areas to either rest or work. Would stay here again! Thank you

One of the best hostel I ever stayed at. Really nice service, great room with private bathroom. Amazing breakfast and well decorated spaces. Went mid September and were almost completely alone. I definitely recommend it.

A cosy, simple stay at this hostel. The toilet and bathroom might be small but the hostel rate is affordable. The reception people was friendly and helpful too. Bonus point, they speak in English!

Pros: beautiful architecture, spacious rooms, best coffee I've had in Thailand, nice staff, delicious breakfast, good location. Cons: rooms near the street are VERY loud. Sheets are too small. Literally all the toilet seats were mostly broken. Cockroaches we're in the bathroom. Washer but no dryer. Overall, would stay here again. Worth the price and better than most of the surrounding hostels.

Really enjoy my stay here even just one day! The reception lady was so nice to help us to catch on our bus to Chiang Mai. The breakfast is fresh and yummy, room is clean and the location is quite and walkable to the night market. The reception also help us to book our Green bus tickets to Chiang Mai and help us to rent the motorbike. Highly recommend this hostel if you come to Chiang Rai!

Awesome chills hostel. Loads of room to chill and plan out your day. Toast and tea is offered for free and full breakfast offered at a cost. 1 self service washing machine offered. Wifi is strong and fast. The reception people are super friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean and have aircon.

Great location, clean room and very warm staff. If you are checking into the family room, do know that it is pretty noisy at night due to proximity to a main road and pubs. Light sleepers will have issues.
