This beautiful property is ideally located near the wharf, and is within walking distance of many great restaurants and attractions, which is very nice. The Hotel itself is a converted old brick warehouse, and has a great aesthetic. The room was nice and roomy, and has a great feel, with exposed brick and a rustic charm. The staff was wonderful and very accommodating. My only complaint, and it is a big one for me. NO COFFEE?? None in the lobby, no coffee makers in the rooms, and none available on request. I do feel that this is a small investment that would go a long way to the comfort of the guests. I travel a lot for both business and recreation, and this is the first time I've ever stayed in a place that didn't have any coffee whatsoever. When I got up (and needed a nice cup of joe to get going for my day), I headed to the lobby, only to be told that I could buy a cup of coffee next door, when the attached cafe opened up... This was very disappointing and I will definitely consider other properties when I'm back in town.

Reviewing as a guest and as someone in the interior design field. Absolutely beautiful hotel in the heart of the city. Room was awesome except for the bed frame corners--we both crushed our shins on the bed frame corners--a comforter or sham eliminates this hazard. Bathroom and everything else, super clean, quiet and well lit. The interior of the hotel is gorgeous and well-done. Staff was super friendly and willing to help with anything. We had drinks at the adjoining bar--it's pricey, but it's the middle of city, so... 4 stars because....The only negative of this experience was the unloading zone. You need someone managing that. We were returning our rental that morning, so just needed to offload our bags--it's an absolute nightmare. Some people leave their cars too long and no one can offload. The rude woman in the car ahead almost backed into us because she wanted to leave her car there and muscled her way in. We had to circle the block full of tourists and stop lights. I would take an an Uber next time. Do NOT drive there.

Great location! The rooms were clean and comfortable, although a little dated. The front desk staff were all great. But the majority of my review is the location. It is located within walking distance of the ferry/Harbor, the North End, and Faneuil Hall with so many shops and restaurants around. Note for those driving: Google & Apple Maps both directed us to the backside of the building. You want to make sure you arrive via State Street to the front. It can be a little confusing driving through downtown but once you kinda get the layout, it is easy to navigate.

Nice hotel selected primarily due to the location near Quincy Market and the New England Aquarium. We were able to walk most locations. Booked through Alaska Airlines at $360 a night for two nights and two people. Room was clean and up to date. No noise issues. Restaurant is called Joia which was okay and reviewed separately. Hotel service was good with no issues. This was our second stay at the hotel and I would stay there again.

The hotel is in a wonderful location, 2 stops on the T from the airport, right beside the elevator, very central . Checking in was extremely fast, the girls on reception were very pleasant and helpful. The room was a nice size, comfortable bed, large TV. The bathroom was large with a bath and shower, the shower was strong and no shortage of hot water. the room was very clean. Room service was on request. Small fridge in the room.|The only negative was the lack of coffee making facilities or electric kettle.|Would recommend this hotel

Google
We really enjoyed our stay at The Harborside Inn, the room was spacious, clean and very comfortable. The only negative thing was no coffee in the room. The staff was super friendly and helpful. Dianne was awesome, she recommended some amazing restaurants and provided helpful information on tours and local attractions. We only had one full day in town, and and thanks to her suggestions, we were able to see a lot of the city.

Our stay at the Harborside Inn in Boston was excellent! The location is unbeatable—right by the harbor and walking distance to shops, dining, and historic attractions. The hotel has a charming boutique feel, with stylish, comfortable rooms that were spotless and well-appointed. The staff went above and beyond to make sure we felt welcome, always friendly and helpful with recommendations. The atmosphere is cozy yet modern, and the attention to detail really stood out. We loved the quiet, relaxing vibe after exploring the city all day. Highly recommend Harborside Inn for anyone visiting Boston who wants comfort, convenience, and great service!

This hotel is tucked away in the Wharf District. It is right in the heart of everything. It is a small boutique like hotel. I was hesitant at first as the price was much cheaper than the surrounding hotels, but don't let that discourage you. The staff was extremely friendly! They provided a list of all the local restaurants within walking distance outlined with type of restaurant, price range, and if it was a top pick by staff. They were also super helpful in explaining the best ways to travel throughout the city with public transportation. The room was quaint, and the bathroom was fully stocked with all the necessities. Everything was extremely clean! Would 100% stay again.

Yelp
Very comfortable and clean large room. The 2 queen size beds had 2 pairs of pillows of different firmness on each bed. Shower easy to work and had two types of sprays. The desk clerks were always friendly and helpful even during a rush of new guests. My gosh, the location is perfect. It's near every historical landmark. Quincy Market is across the street! Subway is outside the front entrance!

Yelp
We recently stayed 7 nights in a City View Room, which basically faced a back alley, at least it wasn't a cabin room. Pros: Bed and pillows were super comfortable. Location is great for site seeing, the North End is just blocks away, the Aquarium is also close, Quincy Market is basically across the street. For Boston the price per night couldn't be beat. Staff were really friendly and helpful giving advice on how to get someplace. Cons: Hotel is looking a little tired in the lobby. The Restautant/lounge is not part of the hotel. (BTW, do not order the Pasta Pesto!!) No coffee options or vending machines in the hotel itself. Housekeeping is by request only. Breakfast options close to hotel are pretty much nonexistent, except for the restaurant next to hotel (very limited offerings) or Dunkin Donuts a few blocks down. Most dining close to the hotel are Irish Pub style or the Quincy Market. Anything else is a bit of walk or you need to Uber. After awhile, both options just got old. The subway line outside the hotel is the Blue Line, you will need to make connections to see most of Boston.

Yelp
The Scarlet Vetter says..... I recently stayed in this lovely boutique hotel for the second time. I decided I would wait for two experiences to rate it. This hotel, located down by the water, is very hip. It has a lovely lobby and a full business center with multiple computers and a printer. When the printer ran out of ink, the front desk, very kindly offered to have me email what I needed printed to them and they immediately printed it, and they sent over a technician to make sure that the guest printer was reloaded with ink and paper. The entire hotel is nautically themed. It also has a great restaurant attached to it, which I will review separately. When you stay at the hotel, you get twenty percent off your dinner at the restaurant, which is a nice perk. So first.... my review of the rooms, they are very nice. For my second stay I selected a king size single room (city view) and it was well appointed with nautical style lamps and other features and a nautically themed rug. It was extremely clean and comfortable and very spacious for a city hotel room. For Boston, it was also very, very reasonably priced. The good things are, it was extremely clean, it was very quiet and also very very comfortable. They provide an actual room key, like a real metal key with the room number on it, which was an incredibly nice touch. A few of the things that might annoy very seasoned road warriors: the hot water took quite some time to reach the shower, when turning on the shower, but then it was great and the shower was excellent and you didn't have any of those nasty plastic shower curtains hitting your body while you are showering in a strange place.....it was a beautifully enclosed glass shower. The room temperature controls were also not that great. I have an app that tracks my body temperature at night, and it's easier to sleep when it's cooler than not, and it's also better for your body. I was at an elevated temperature all night because I could not get the temperature of the room down m. This could have been because it was a very, very hot night in the summer in Boston when I stayed there. At times, the room felt a bit stuffy and warm to me. As you will see from my picture of the items that are provided in the bathroom, there was no hair conditioner offered. I was extremely unhappy that there was no hair conditioner provided. In any given week, I'm in one or two hotels for multiple nights and I do not travel with things that should be provided by a hotel as basic amenities. If I did, I would be traveling with items that are above the limit for the TSA and I would be extremely weighed down. Again. But the room was quite gorgeous, really, it is very impressive. Maybe because it is in an older building, it suffered from the problem of not having enough outlets..... like literally, there were no outlets. There was no outlet by the desk which is where I had to perform a lot of work. As you can see by the picture, my computer cord had to stretch behind me, and I actually had to step over it, to get into the chair. About the chair. This room was not designed by someone who works for a living on the road. The chair had someone sitting way below their comfort level for the surface on which one would either be typing or eating......you were very far below where you should be and it was very uncomfortable. I ended up taking my computer down to the restaurant and sat at the bar to do a lot of my work, which probably was pretty fun for me but may not work for everyone. For those who hate sitting on the toilet and having your toilet paper behind you and having to reach back to get it, you would be annoyed at this bathroom, because that's exactly what the situation is. However, there is a bar in front of the toilet on which you could put the toilet paper and just leave it there for the duration of your stay. Now, for some of the great things.....the bed is extremely comfortable, and there were multiple pillows. The TV is extremely large. There are very nice amenities in the room such as a boston tourist book with a full city map and also an incredible, wide, full length mirror. There was also a stereo, a safe and a refrigerator. The staff at the hotel were extremely accommodating. Upon check in I was offered a mini bottle of prosecco or a bottle of water. I come to Boston often and have checked out a number of hotels. When I'm on a smaller client budget, I will definitely choose this hotel again as it is incredibly affordably priced and offers everything that is needed for most travelers!

Yelp
This is a cute hotel. Great location. Rooms are spacious and the front staff very friendly. The parking lot was a bit away from the hotel, but I guess that is to be expected in a big city.

Yelp
Good food, great service, and wonderful ambiance, tbh. I recommend this hotel for a nice comfortable evening and following day/brunch.

Yelp
We very much enjoyed our stay at Harborside Inn. The room was extremely clean and super friendly staff. We absolutely loved using the old-fashioned keys and then they had individual containers of soap and bar soap to use instead of the ones that were on the wall in the shower. We thought the shower was amazing. We felt very safe.

Yelp
Great service, location, and room! I had to travel to Boston for an interview and this was a great place to stay for a few days! The price point was perfect, and the location made it easy to travel all over the city. I would definitely stay here again!

Yelp
This should be a 3 star hotel on par with the typical Marriott; it was clean, fairly priced, staff was pleasant, room was small but adequate, and so on. No hotel lobby shop or vending machines that I saw but a 7-11 next door open 24/7 meant I could do even better at fair market prices too. But this hotel is dated in ways that are not OK with me. It was a laugh to see a combo DVD/VCR in the room along with a stereo receiver. What wasn't a laugh was being handed a physical key to my room and spending the time I was checked in wondering if a previous guest had made a copy of the key and would come in to take my stuff. This is absolutely inappropriate and unacceptable in 2024; it wasn't OK when that DVD/VCR player was made. I have been a fairly frequent traveler for 20+ years and have only had a physical key twice before, both times at no-name hotels that a corporate travel person booked for me in an effort to save a few dollars. If this hotel gets their act together they can be a 3 star or 4 star experience! J.Ja

Yelp
My husband and I stayed here in January right after NYE (great time to go to Boston since everyone has left the city to go skiing in Vermont!) and really loved our experience. The price point is great for the location. From the hotel, you can easily walk to Faneuil Hall, Quincy Market, the North End, Charles Street, etc. The staff was extremely attentive and helpful. I went to college in Boston and thought that I'd seen everything, but Tony at the front desk gave us all the hot "goss" on the hip things to do in the city. (I'm not going to tell you! You'll have to ask Tony ;)). One night the hairdryer started smelling like burning rubber and completely shut down. They immediately brought up a new hairdryer with two champagne splits for the inconvenience which was very thoughtful. Please be advised that the building is very old and the HVAC system is not subtle and acts as a white/brown noise machine. If you are someone who loves these noises, wonderful, if you don't (like me), bring very good ear plugs. We also ate dinner at the hotel restaurant, Joia. I am celiac with other pain in the "A" food allergies and our server Carmen and the kitchen went above and beyond to provide a wonderful meal for us. We'll definitely be back to peruse their VHS collection again!

Yelp
We just stayed at the hotel for three nights and would give it a very mediocre rating. It is in a great location if you are in Boston as a tourist, but the rooms are in great need of a renovation. They try to pass as funky but are more like depressing. The front desk was helpful, but we did not get our room cleaned when we requested it (it's not automatic), and it looks like the hotel may well be understaffed. I would not stay here for business. As a small hotel, it also lacks amenities, but does have a restaurant connected to it which we did not try. It's next to a 7-11, with all that implies, including a lot of dirt and trash.

Yelp
This hotel is a no frills hotel with maid service on request. You need to ask daily for this service. The room and bed were comfortable and there was only 1 ice maker for all the floors in the basement. I could have used better lighting in the bathroom to apply my makeup. The hotel staff were lovely.

Yelp
We stayed for one night on our way to another destination. This boutique hotel is a renovated mercantile shopping warehouse. You'll see exposed brick inside, combining historic features with modern stylish decor. There is an onsite bar lounge. The location is ideal for exploring downtown Boston. We were walking distance from shops, restaurants and the harbor. Rooms are ample sized and include a safe for valuables, a small fridge, and free WiFi. The bathroom has a walk in shower with great water pressure. Complimentary toiletries are provided. We enjoyed our overnight stay and woke up refreshed and relaxed.

Yelp
A window doesn't mean a view Here is a review where "technically the truth" applies but you still feel you got taken. This hotel/inn is centrally located in the heart of downtown Boston. When my college freshman son wanted to visit Boston for Spring break, I happily agreed to pay for his time to discover our founding state. He found this place in the financial district. The lowest cost room was $200 (plus tax) and they correctly described that it had no windows. My first reaction was about safety. I told him that every room should have a window. So I told him to pay the extra ($30) for a windowed room. Here is where I failed to teach him to ask for more details. A window looking to another brick building is not what I thought of. So use this as learning lesson

Yelp
We stayed here for one night, and loved how accessible this location was to a parking garage and Fanueil Hall. The staff was very friendly and helpful, giving us directions for parking (at a discounted rate). We loved how modern this boutique hotel is, using real room keys The room was clean and the bathroom was nice. We had a nice closet, complete with iron and ironing board. There is also a restaurant in the lobby which is very convenient. This was the perfect spot for our trip to Boston!

Yelp
I was given lower class room type from what I booked, they tried to tell me it was the right one. I booked a King Atrium room for 4 nites. After getting into our room (513), we discovered the bed was a queen, which is also a smaller room. I called to the front desk, and Sara told me "our system shows that room has a king bed". Stunned, I hung up, looked at the bed again (definitely a queen), then called back. I was able to convince the person who answered this time that the bed definitely was not a king, but a queen. She then said she "could see what went wrong", then told me they were sold out for the night (we arrived after 8pm, so in other words, we could not get into the room type we booked & were charged for). I asked for the room to be discounted, and the room rate did get adjusted to one more appropriate for the type we were assigned. If a hotel cannot properly manage their reservations, that is a huge red flag for me. If you want to gamble on this place and book a higher class room type, then hope they put you in the right one upon arrival, then this is the place for you. If you tend to book the cheapest rooms available, then you may luck out and get assigned a better room when you arrive. As for me, I would never recommend such a hotel to anyone. The only positives I can offer is that the atrium room was clean and quiet, and the hotel location is great.

Yelp
I'd say 3.5 stars. Best selling point for this hotel was the price point. It was very affordable compared to other hotels in the area. It is conveniently located to so many great eateries and popular sites. The Quincy Market is literally right around the corner. They have a bunch of different food vendors and shops. This is perfect if you're traveling with a family who has different food cravings. Service was ok. Staff was approachable and friendly. However, one hotel employee wasn't very helpful when we were trying to setup our DVD/VHS player (YES! They have these vintage pieces in the room and plenty of DVD/VHS' to pick from lol). We called to get help and he just made some suggestions, then the next day, we stopped by the front desk to ask what were were doing wrong and he just gave the same suggestions. Not helpful. We were not a fan of this hotel not having a gym, the smell in our room (musky/humid), and our room window - It was facing the atrium (which was small and brought in very little light) - might be good for ppl who don't care too much for daylight. We were grateful for the restaurant attached to the hotel. It is called Joia Restaurant & Lounge. They offer great food and cocktails. It's a little pricey than what we expected, but the food tasted great and their cocktails hit!

Yelp
Price very reasonable for downtown Boston. Could not find channel guide on TV. Not a big deal (we are not here to watch TV), but a bit irritating. Internet worked on MAC. Not on Chromebook. Place has potential, but design is shortsighted on a number of issues. Breakfast choices very limited on weekdays (eggs). Hard to understand this, as we could see people going out in the morning to Dunkin Donuts to get breakfast and bringing back to hotel. Not only inconvenient for customers, but seems like a easy place to make more money at little cost (e.g bacon, sausage, pancakes, toast, breakfast bar, etc.). Does not change sheet daily. That is ok. But also did not change towels or empty garbage. Weekend breakfast (Fri-Sun) has good selection. However, price is a bit steep ($55 for three of us). They also add 3.5% for kitchen staff. Friendly and helpful staff. We had room in basement. Room was clean and nice. But not nearly enough lighting in the room.

Colten M.

Yelp
Great location: BUT Staff needs to be a little more clear on parking situation. Ended up paying 260 dollars for parking. Staff said it was covered but actually only 3 dollars covered per day. got the king atrium and it was stuffy with no windows.

Yelp
Great place. I would consider this place over any else by my experience. I lost my wallet. The staff at Harborside Inn tracked my number down and went far beyond to reunite me with my phone. Greatly appreciated.

Yelp
We did a quick overnight stay on a layover in Boston. The hotel is clean, in a great location, and cozy. The employees we interacted with were friendly. We liked the ship-themed decor. The room was a good size, nice bathroom (hair dryer included), mini fridge, and we got a good night's sleep - no noise issues and the rooms seemed pretty well insulated. The price was good for the location as well. If you're looking for a nice hotel in downtown Boston, I'd recommend it!

Yelp
Boutique hotel that's different, but great. Lobby was good, sitting area great in lounge. Room was cozy and nice, plenty of lighting. Hotel staff was great. Boston overall is too expensive for my taste but this was reasonable comparatively.

Annie J.

Yelp
Fine, thin walls. Saw a mouse or rat in the lobby. Service was pretty good. Kinda loud from restaurant next door but can't hear it from in rooms.

Yelp
Location! Location! Location! Ive stayed here 3 times. This hotel is so convenient! It is very clean. The hotel concierge and the cleaning staff are also very nice. This hotel is a short walk to many things. You can easily get to the orange and blue train lines which is a short ride to places such as: The airport North station (the hub which links to other train stations which are local and the commuter train which takes you outside of Boston) - this is also close to TD Garden Chinatown Downtown State This hotel is also a short walk to Faneuil Hall, Quincy Market, Italian District, the Aquarium, the Old Statehouse (my favorite building in Boston!!!!), Granary Graveyard, the Old North Church. Great price for the type of hotel it is!!! I'll stay here during my next stay in Bean Town.

Sharon C.

Yelp
Fabulous boutique Inn! Repeat guests and will certainly be returning when in Boston. Can't beat the Location. Walking distance to Fanueil Hall, North End, Boston Harbor, the Commons and Boston Garden, to mention a few. The rooms are comfy, but the most important part of our experience has always been the staff. They are very friendly and most helpful!
google avatar

Mike M.

Yelp
Harbor side Inn's location can't be beat. It's right next to Quincy Market, the Long Wharf, and a T stop. It's an easy walk to most of the historic sites, to anyplace in North End, etc., and it's a very quick trip to/from the airport. We received excellent service from the front desk. The rooms were impeccably clean. The mattresses are comfortable. And, the decor is kind of fun. It's funky enough to be interesting but not over the top into the weird. A few drawbacks: Rooms are kind of small. We asked to the biggest room available for one of the rooms in our group, and it got the job done but was still average-ish for hotel room sizes while the other rooms were a little smaller than average. They don't have coffee machines in the rooms, and while they have coffee service in the lobby, the hours for that are limited. And, they only have two elevators, and when we were there, one was out of order, so you might have to wait for an elevator. The hotel has some limitations, but if you're looking for a clean, comfortable hotel with good front desk service in the area and don't need more than that, it's a great option.

Rebecca M.

Yelp
Super cute and great location. Walking distance to everything! Staff was wonderful. The only reason for 3 stars and not 5: beds weren't great. No coffee or tea in room. I don't mind street noise - but I can recommend asking for a room away from the alley. (Trash pickup is in middle of night - and the service is loud as it picks up dumpsters....at 2 am)

Yelp
We had a good time visiting Boston for 3 days for the first time. Being from the midwest, we rented a car, which was completely unnecessary. From Logan Airport, take a airport shuttle bus to the "Blue Line" subway terminal. Exit at the aquarium stop. We had a city view room on the 7th floor and enjoyed our stay. It was centrally located to the places we wanted to visit.
google avatar

Sheem J.

Yelp
Literally across the street from both Quincy Market and The New England Aquarium! The location is perfect! As for the room. Pretty decent. Nice big bed, big windows, loved the brick. Shower and bathroom was fine. TV is a little outdated but who stays in their room to watch TV I guess. Staff was very friendly, even called me a cab. And parking was pretty cheap, they have a deal with a garage close by, was about $79 for 2 nights. Would def stay again!

Yelp
Such a cute hotel nestled in such a busy part of the city. You are walking distance from Quincy Market and North End. The hotel has such an inviting and cozy lobby. The hotel rooms are very spacious- at least the one we stayed in and the rooms have very comfy beds. I loved that the rooms had a very large mirror as well as windows. Our room had a brick wall and I loved it. Clean room, clean sheets, and a clean bathroom. I enjoyed my stay here.

Yelp
This hotel has the best location! It's walking distance from most tourist attractions. It's very close to the seaport, aquarium and Quincy Market. There is a parking garage nearby. It's about $30 a night. The rooms are pretty standard. I have no complaints.

Yelp
I was originally supposed to stay at a hotel in Medford but something happened with my reservation. Nonetheless, I was able to book this hotel on the way to Boston (only 4 hours before my arrival!!). I did not check in until 11 but it went very smoothly. The room was honestly great. We stayed in a queen room with a view of the atrium. Although there wasn't anything to view, the room itself was very spacious and the mirror was HUGE. The bathroom was also nice, I loved the newer shower design. The only downfall about the room was that the shower itself was pretty small and the towels were a little rough. The lounge area closes after they serve coffee/tea in the AM (7am-10am). Overall, it was a great stay. Right in the heart of the city. SOOO close to all the major attractions. I highly recommend this hotel.

Yelp
Harborside inn is a fantastic place to stay ! Walking distance to the water, faniuel hall, and the park. There is even a bar/restaurant attached for convenience. They even have free lollipops and lemon water in the lobby. The rooms give a rustic modern vibe that fits Boston perfectly and they are very clean.Made our Boston stay amazing !!

Yelp
Stayed recently for two nights. Room was large and clean, and beds were comfortable. Location is great- close to the Aquarium, North End, and Quincy Market. Staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel has some quirks- narrow, uneven hallways and lots of rooms have windows to an atrium instead of inside. Would stay again.

Lori M.

Yelp
Cabin rooms: are on 1st floor and basement. QUIET from no window BUT BEWARE; they have an on- site bar/ club that can pound the base until 12:30am on weeknights, 2am weekends. You'll also hear water draining from upper floor toilets/ showers. Third floor was quieter, but you will hear trash trucks on Saturday am. from street corner. Desk clerks are sympathetic*

Yelp
Recently stayed for 3 nights (an adult and teenager). This hotel was less expensive than most in that area but a great value. We had a king city view room. The room was very clean. When we first walked in, the air was off so it was a little musty. We turned on the air, went to dinner and when we returned it was great. There is a mini fridge in the room which was nice. I do wish there was a microwave to heat up leftovers. There was plenty of space for 2 and the room included a small table and little sofa (I think it could be pulled out but we didnt try). There is a great video library to use but if you have one of the newer tvs, which we did, the connections with the DVD player are not compatible so you can't take advantage of the library. As some mentioned, there is no bottled water but there was a large pitcher of lemon water with cups available in the lobby. We walked to the Golden Goose market near by and got waters and such to have in the room. The staff is wonderful! Very nice and helpful. It is not a big hotel with tons of amenities but reviews and their website make that clear so there shouldn't be a surprise and in return, you get a nice clean place to stay at a competitive price for the area. The attached restaurant was fabulous! Amazing location- we walked almost everywhere we wanted to go but there is a t station outside and ubers are easy to get. Would definitely stay here again.

Gloria M.

Yelp
Pros: proximity to Faneuil Hall and Aquarium, complimentary bottled water, nice large clean bathroom, nice big TV, pleasant staff, nice restaurant in Hotel. Cons: Small hovel room with one window you cannot open blinds as it looks over so-called "Atrium", which is really the hallway and brick wall, uncomfortable bed .. woke up with backache, clean sheets but not sure the comforter was washed from last guest, no daily room cleaning, have to ask for towels or whatever you want. Won't be back.

Patrick M.

Yelp
The Harborside Inn is a great hotel nestled on State Street and close to a lot of Boston attractions. Great location to walk to the Seaport, Little Italy, Quincy Market, and many more. Our two night stay was excellent and the "2nd Shift " working the hotel is beyond excellent and accommodating. I will definitely stay here again for the price and comfort.

Corene C.

Yelp
LOVED our stay! Hotel is convenient to Boston sights and fun neighborhoods and sights. Staff was very friendly and our room was large which is great for Boston. Very clean, great bathroom, fun restaurant and lobby. Can't wait to stay here again the next time we are in Boston!

Yelp
This hotel was recommended by the company I visited during a recent 5 day business trip in Boston, likely because it's in walking distance on State St. Moreover, it's fairly close to Logan int'l airport and directly in front of a T (subway) stop. Harborside's pre-arrival communication was awful. I had to call twice to obtain an email receipt/confirmation, each time I was made to feel like I was inconveniencing them. At first glance, this warehouse turned "boutique" hotel, with a semi-contemporary lobby, appears to be a good find. Check-in was relatively painless until I found out: A) their idea of a quiet room was $229+tax per night for a small spot immediately next to the elevator with huge mirror (to make it look bigger) and terrible window views (not related to mirror). Of what? Brick walls and other suckers suffering the same "quiet" fate on lower floors. It was also so dark, I felt like I was squinting by candlelight even with full lights on. B) "boutique" meant no amenities. Gym? No. Pool? No. Robes? No. Coffee pot in room? No. Coffee in lobby? No. USB charging ports? No. Ice machine? 1 in the basement. Elevator? 1 (with 1 out of order). WiFi was spotty and had to be reset every 24 hours. My room was fairly clean thanks to the hardworking housekeeping staff. Harborside did store my bags after checkout which was nice. I discovered I paid the same price as my coworker but she got windows with views of the city. Take home point: if you're looking for value and familiar amenities, look elsewhere; if you're low maintenance and just looking for a clean bed, Harborside will work.

Yelp
The hotel was great! Such an awesome location! Right across the street from the Quincy market/Faneuil hall! Check in is at 3 and check out at 12 but they are super accommodating being able to hold your bags while you explore if you get there earlier! The rooms were pretty standard size, beds weren't very comfortable and the shower pressure and water temperature weren't great but it was a hotel so it was fine. It is right downtown so you will hear everything from horns to police sirens but they have an option where you can get a "cabin" room where there are no windows and you'd get great sleep. We got the city view and slept great! It wasn't too loud at night. Seemed clean and the front desk was very accommodating. If you need water bottles or bandaids or other necessities they were more than happy to help! Would definitely recommend especially for the price and location!

Yelp
Yes, it's a little pricey to stay here but compared everything else it's cheap. My deposit was only $20 which is better than what other hotels take for one. No real parking but they do have an agreement with a parking structure nearby to give you a discount. But what do you expect for an area like this? All the staff I've interacted with, has been so amazing! When I first called to ask about parking the woman who answered, was very polite, laugh at my jokes, and explain to me very well what I needed to do. When I came in to check in, I asked if we could upgrade to a room with a view and the front desk lady was very happy to help me with that. She again laughed at my silly jokes and listened as I spilled about the adventure. My son and I were just on to get his passport updated. Later in the evening, almost midnight to be exact, I saw online that the 7-Eleven next-door was 24 hours. I forgot a charging block and needed some water so I figured I'd go there to grab it. Well that's a lie. It closes at a certain point and was closed when I got there. When I walked back in the hotel to confirm that the 7-Eleven is not 24/7 and is indeed closed for the night (I thought maybe the clerk had to use the bathroom and locked the door while he went lol) the front desk let me grab a charging block from the lost and found and gave me two free bottles of water. Great place! Work great staff!

Yelp
We prefer boutique hotels to chain hotels and selected this one after reading about it in a guidebook (we had actually selected a different one prior to that). Look, hotel rooms in big cities are going to be expensive, we know that. But we prefer hotels with a good location and some charm. This one fit the bill for our trip since we did a lot of walking downtown and caught the T to Logan Airport on our last day. Looks like COVID has killed their bar/restaurant but they do have free coffee in the morning. There is a nautical theme throughout, which fits the greater harbor area. We selected an interior room without a view but that was fine. Location is great for walking to the aquarium, Quincy Market, and other areas. The room was clean and came with nice toiletries and a walk-in shower. We'd stay here again.

Yelp
Location is only reason to stay in this run down hotel. Not my version of a "boutique" hotel! Front desk staff terrific.

Yelp
I picked this hotel due to its location: 10 minute walk to South Station and a 10 minute walk to TD Gardens which I was attending the Genesis concert. with Fanuel Hall right in the middle and a quick walk to the waterfront. This is a very nice boutique hotel which is a nice change from the chain hotels. Free coffee in the morning in the lobby too. The room was super clean and very very quiet. No street noise at all. Great service at the desk. Easy check in and out. The price is fantastic. $150 with all the fees and taxes which is a steal in Boston and even better deal considering the location. The bed and pillows were incredibly comfortable. Black Rose Irish pub is right across the street.

Yelp
My mother actually stayed at this hotel. She came to visit for my birthday, and decided to stay at this hotel. The room was large and decent, very clean, excellent location, however the service was horrific. This property actually uses real keys instead of key cards for access into the rooms. Interesting because the door felt like it could be opened without it regardless if you pushed hard enough but that's not the point. Upon walking down to the lobby for me to leave she realized she left her key in the room, went to the front desk and explained she left her key in the room, along with her purse, wallet, ID and everything except her phone. The first person at the front desk acted like there was nothing she could do. Then a second employee came over and the first employee explained what happened and between the two of them acted like there was nothing they could do. This caused my mother to panic it's almost 10PM and she doesn't have her ID or anything. Finally someone else working heard what was going on and the first two employees explained to this person "well this lady was just bringing her son down after celebrating his birthday and left her keys in her room" very unsympathetically and borderline rude and almost like this was the first time someone has ever lost their keys in a hotel room before the third person said to them "JUST GIVE HER THE KEY" I truly believe my mom would be still sitting in the lobby right now, if it were not for that third person. I guarantee you that if it were the first two employees mothers, they would have been escorted up to the room and been allowed to show the representative their ID like any other hotel INCLUDING the one I used to work at. No apology from those two or anything.

Yelp
Great location. We usually stay at other places in Boston. The front desk staff was amazing. We walk to everything. Highly recommend it

Yelp
Stayed here this week for 2 nights. Great location. Room was okay too. Front desk and management is non responsive. Checked in and found iron was missing and the phone in the room didn't work. So had to go to the desk to notify them. Desk said they would bring an iron up shortly and address the phone. Didn't happen. Over the next 4 hours, had to go down to the desk three more times to try and get an iron. Desk was polite but totally incompetent. When I checked out, the phone still hadn't been replaced/fixed.

Yelp
Although the room was OK, and the price was less expensive then hotels near by, I still say maybe to staying at this hotel. Here's the reasons: 1) Bath room floor was disgusting, had stuck toilet paper on it. Like it was mopped with a filthy mop. 2) We had ants in the room. 3) No food or drinks, their restaurant was closed. 4) Had some granola bars with the coffee they served, but by the time we got down stairs they were gone! 5) Lastly, it will take you a while to take a shower, as they have very poor water pressure. If you don't really care about the above and just want to save a few buck (I learned my lesson) then this hotel is for you.

Yelp
Room was clean and nice. There are no coffee makers in the room and no coffee offered in lobby. The first chance at coffee availability happens at 7am so early risers beware. Good location.
