we just got back from 9 days in nantucket. first 5 were at wauwinet and I wrote a separate review for that. then last 3-4 days were at the white elephant harbor view and we had a water view suite.||||it was awesome! the front office manager Mackenzie brendlin made this stay possible and wonderful so kudos to her! if not for her we wouldn't be there.||||about 4 weeks prior to stay our amazing Cuba trip cancelled by US govt so we had last minute change of plans to nantucket. I called macKenzie and she not only helped me by email and phone but she texted me video of the rooms I was looking at and helped me pick out just the right room for our anniversary stay. she used her iPhone shoot video and ran up/down to rooms to give me options that were not as well described on the website. that serve was amazing and made me pick out fantastic suite with harbor view.||||the room was amazing. the bathroom was beautiful with full amenities. the bedroom was elegant with lots of storage. the living room with fireplace with extra sitting area and writing desk (I write daily) was great and lots of seating. the outdoor deck with chair and tables had plenty of space for us to have a drink and watch the boats and ferries go in and out. it overlooked a beautiful grassy seating area watching the harbor. we sat out there often and in the lounge chairs (with umbrellas placed by attentive staff members). rabbits are often out there as well and flowers are just amazing. in fact, the entire grounds are amazing and well cared for.||||we had champagne, cheese tray and small chocolate cake in room on check in which made the anniversary so amazing! beautiful room and the twice daily service was great with waters placed in room daily (all waters free of charge). ice was provided daily upon request. ||||the gift shop was great with nice items and we must have bought about 5-10 items like clothes, beach towels, ties, hats etc. the white elephant emblem is no nice and the items are very well done. ||||we ate at the Brandt point grill for dinner and was fabulous. the service was impeccable and the food amazing. you had look out over harbor and there were multiple areas, inside more (but we liked outdoor deck) and if nice day some tables on the grass outside as well. the setting and service was wonderful. wide variety of food and the lobster was superb.||||we went to the library daily for newspaper reads. we went every am for the complimentary coffee and danishes to start our day. that was nice treat along with the daily waters. ||||the reception desk was on the ball and attended to all our needs. Dym was great as well as Allison. the driver, conor was one, dym's husband, and he was super friendly and got us all round town complimentary! ||||we loved the hotel and would go back in heartbeat. people were super friendly. I owe our stay there all to great office manager MacKenzie! she made it all possible||||between there and time at wauwinet our 28th anniversary went great. both places and managers made us feel so special. we will never forget our stay! ||||PS we bought lots of the town home with us. nantucket has great shopping. we purchases about 4 paintings, tons of clothes for us and grown family, beautiful bracelet from Andersons made by local artist, clock made by local Artist that are spectacular, whirlygig, and many other things. local shopping is fantastic esp vineyard vines and all.
