Did not Disappoint, Easily The Best Fish & Chips I've ever had. We had The Famous 5, line caught Haddock, Chips Mushy, Peas Bread and unlimited Tea £21. The batter was light and crispy almost Tempora like. Come here and you won't be disappointed

Amazing fish & chips!! The sustainability practises of this place including the MSC for sustainable fishing across their menu, drew me in above all other restaurants in the town. Would 100% recommend, loved every bite! Line caught haddock, regular chips, mushy peas and curry sauce, incredible!!

Decent, But Nothing Special Whenever I visit a seaside town, my first stop is always fish and chips. It’s usually a generous portion at a reasonable price, and this time was no different. After researching online, this spot seemed to be one of the most well-known, so I decided to give it a try. The atmosphere and location are nice, and the staff are friendly. As you can see in the photo, the lemon was almost bigger than the fish! The portion was filling, with chips and mushy peas on the side. However, the mushy peas tasted like they had just been reheated from a pre-made batch, and overall, the meal wasn’t anything extraordinary. The fish was decent, the chips were standard—nothing that made them stand out. One downside was that my coffee arrived before the food, so I had to eat quickly before it got cold, which took away from the enjoyment. I didn’t want to send it back and waste it, but it wasn’t an ideal experience. If you’re in the area, it might be worth trying something else on the menu, but for me, it was just an average fish and chips experience.

Really good! Super tasty food and drinks, lovely views and very friendly staff. Vegan fish and chips was best I had had! Thank you so much x

The Best Fish and Chips My Fiancée and I Have Ever Had! My fiancée and I are still talking about this meal — hands down the best fish and chips we’ve ever eaten. The fish was fresh and flaky with a perfectly crisp batter, and the chips were golden and fluffy, just how they should be. We also had onion rings and mushy peas, which were both spot on, but the real star was the curry sauce — absolutely out of this world! Packed with flavour, rich, and perfectly spiced — it took everything to the next level. This place honestly deserves 5 stars. The food, the service, the portion size — everything was on point. I had to leave a review because it was just that good. If you’re anywhere nearby, do yourself a favour and give them a visit. You won’t regret it!

The fish and chips were good, with a decent amount of fries. We didn’t have to wait long either.

Fab freshly cooked fish and chips in a lovely setting on Custom House Quay. Perfect with a cold cider from The Front pub under the fish and chip shop where you can sit outside to eat your takeout. Would recommend.

Yelp
Sorry, missing pictures. Quality/Quantity - Definitely a hit in this area, always busy. One of the first fish & chips businesses that you see when walking into town. Good setup for fast casual, almost fast food. Simple menu done well. Chicken and vegan options are also available. Atmosphere - Small local restaurant that you can either eat in or buy as take out. Busy popular location. Again, one of the first fish & chips businesses as you walk into town. Not sure if it is done for marketing, but I think having so many customers wait outside for their order attracts more customers. :) Service - Good, fast, friendly. Price - See menu, reasonably priced. Owner Suggestion - Congrats on your success since 2002. Congrats also on being awarded the most sustainable fish & chip shop in all of England (2023).

Yelp
This place looks like it is a takeout at first glance but has a lot of seating inside. We were seated by the window with a nice view of the harbor. We had the "small cod". It came with French fries. I liked the coating on the fish which was crisp and tasted good. The fish was good as well. I also ordered a side of coke slaw that was a bit too creamy for my taste but otherwise ok. Service was leisurely but fine. I would eat there again.

Yelp
First off great service but other than that, I was disappointed. This bright restaurant looks like a kids party room with balloon decor on the walls and plastic tables. The batter was greasy, the pickled onions tough and the chips ok. I've had better fish and chips elsewhere and was really looking forward to eating them in Cornwall as they are supposed to be the best.

Yelp
The staff were incredibly friendly and the fish was out of the world. The best we had on our trip

Yelp
Large fish and chip shop on high street. Fish was fresh & chips dry. Asked for salt and vinegar which I could hardly taste. £1.30 for can of water I thought was a bit much. Tasted like Peckham spring water.

Yelp
Harbour Lights was recommended by the Guardian in its budget places for South Cornwall. After a nice little hike over in St. Ives, we made our way to Falmouth, and down to Harbour Lights. We arrived around 2pm, and got a table by the windows that overlook the quay and harbor. Looking at the menu, they have a great selection of fish, and they've won awards for sustainability. I got the Cornish Haddock, with 50/50 salad and chips. Jimmy got the cod. I thoroughly enjoyed my fish. The batter was quite light and crispy, easily some of the best flour batter I've enjoyed on fish. The chips were clearly cut from fresh potatoes in house, with that certain mouth feel that you get from fresh potatoes. The salad was crisp and fresh, adding greenery crunch to the rest of the plate. There's a take away counter in the front with a separate line. The restaurant itself is bright and airy, with white walls, black and white photos of the family's children, and a wall of windows. Definitely worth a stop if you're in the area.

Yelp
O.K. There are fish and chippy's all over, and then there are those rare few that really transcend the ordinary, without pretending to be anything else. This is one of those. Family run, immaculately clean, including the windows, that look over the good view of the harbor. Generous portions of sustainably caught fish well prepared. Service very friendly and attentive. Decent beer and cider to wash down the fish. They strive for quality and succeed. Highly recommendable.

Yelp
Delicious battered fish. Had 4 different types of fish on offer. Chips were a bit greasy and not crispy. Overall good, but slightly expensive.

Yelp
Wow this is the best fish and chips I've had in England! Fresh and light. Lots of great sides, even gherkins. Everyone seems to love the hot smashed peas. Desserts and beer are top notch and service is very attentive. The people at the next table had come here on holiday from Australia and brought a business card from friends to be sure to come here. Harbor view too!

Yelp
Traditional fish and chip shop on the quay at the end of the town, has been in business for ages and is a bit of an institution. It's open all day for takeaway and has a large restaurant in the back with offers on soft drinks for sitting in. It's not the best Fish and Chips you can get in Falmouth but its certainly your best choice when your in the town itself, you can always get a small portion of chips then go into onto the quay (they serve them in faux newspaper wrappings), just watch out for the seagulls!

Yelp
I would have to disagree; they are the best Fish and Chips in Falmouth. Far superior to the well known newcomer from Padstow and cheaper as well. When you order Cod and Chips here it's what you get, not some mankey old bit of white fish. Just don't be tempted to go to their Truro branch, they are PANTS!

Yelp
Great cod and chips bit of a wait but well worth it. Big portion and nice crispy batter.

Yelp
Harbour Lights has been my favourite fish and chip shop since I studied in Falmouth as a teenager. Now, approaching 30, it's still wetting my appetite with new and improved menu options. Friendly staff, with one of my favourite pubs nearby. Definitely worth a visit.
