Had an early dinner on our way back from Cabot Trail. Restaurant has great views and excellent service. We were a small group. The chicken fettuccine and chicken stir fry were really flavorful. The onion soup was too oniony with a cinnamon flavor. The chowder and bacon wrapped scallops were good. Overall, good food n great ambiance. Would recommend.

Probably the most overpriced and deeply bland food we experienced on the Cabot Trail. Nothing was bad. Just incredibly bland and average. The mashed potatoes didn't even have salt in them. And we paid nearly $100 for all this. Despite the restaurant being nearly empty when we were there, service was incredibly slow. My water glass was constantly empty and I constantly had to remind the server of my request for more water. The view was fantastic. The restaurant is right on the harbourfront and we enjoyed watching the sparkling water and bird watching while we waited on the very slow service. So. Overall - it was fine. It would do in a pinch, but I wouldn't go here again.

Was really looking forward to a great seafood dinner here, however, I was not satisfied and quite disappointed. My salmon dinner was overcooked and dried. The fish didn't seem fresh and for the veggies it was steamed chopped carrots and one broccoli and for $30, I expected way more than this. My family members ordered the seafood roll - lobster and man, was it sad looking. Again for $30 at a seafood restaurant this was SUPER disappointing. Very little lobster served on a hotdog bun. Fries were good. Ha. Though I have to say the steamed mussels was one of the only highlights of the dinner and seafood chowder. Service was slow.

Dropped into the Harbour Restaurant for the first time. What a nice atmosphere and the view at our table was beautiful. Got to watch fishing boats coming in the harbour. The service was good but they seemed a little confused when seating us. The restaurant is very clean & bright. The prices are on the high side for some meals so bring your wallet. I found out why the fish and chips aren't on the evening menu. Not the greatest by a long shot especially for the price. Although the meals my wife sister and here husbands meals looked pretty good. Only really bad thing to say is the parking is bad not much spots available. One can only imagine what it would be like on the weekend if you had to find a spot to park.

They seem to prefer reservations but we were seated immediately as the season has ended. View from the back was stunning and the sunset we saw happens to be one of the best I've ever seen in my life. The food was excellent and our waitress was excellent in helping accommodate A gluten intolerance, shellfish allergy, and peanut allergy. Would recommend dinner here, with a reservation, around sunset! Restrooms clean and menu had reasonable variety.

The term “Fine dining” on the website is doing a lot of heavy lifting. Staff was unsmiling and brisk. Prices are steep compared to upscale restaurants in downtown Halifax. Lobster roll lunch meal with very small watery coleslaw was north of $30 and served on a hotdog bun. Bland. Seafood pasta was decent. 3 stars for atmosphere for the great view of the water (see photo).

very expensive and very simple. we had the fish and chips, the fish was tiny sliver covered with a huge amount of batter. samosas were subpar. the salad was pretty good! overall very expensive and not worth the price tag. location is nice and service was good.

Came here for dinner today with husband and kids. We picked a table with a view of the water. Our waiter was super friendly and courteous, we got 2 kids hotdogs, husband ordered French onion soup, thai chicken stir fry and a beer, and I got the mussels, bowl of seafood chowder and a herbal tea. The food arrived promptly, and everything was delicious (I especially loved the mussels! Celery pieces in the broth were yummy too). Kids got the apple cake in homemade caramel sauce and the strawberry shortcake (both were quickly devoured and were delish). We had a lovely evening - the food, the view, the attentive friendly staff. Definitely will be back next time we’re in Cheticamp!
