Lovely place for a rest day from hiking the south west coast path. The food in the restaurant was delicious and well priced - it included a free drink. Breakfast was good too. Lovely view overlooking the harbour. There was an issue with my shower which they sorted out promptly. I left feeling refreshed! I would recommend.

Fabulous small hotel with a really lovely bar and restaurant. Had a wonderful meal on the night we ate there, with some added live music. Appears popular with locals too. Parking was a little tricky but do-able, and if you are at the rear of the hotel as we were (with the lovely views), take earplugs as the seagulls can be exceptionally noisy!

From the moment we arrived at the Harbour View House we knew we had picked the right place to stay. |Initially we found it difficult to find the car park, based on the location of the house, however, I nipped into the house and was greeted by an extremely friendly and helpful lady (I wish I'd got her name, she was wonderful) - she explained how to get to the space and provided a permit for our duration. Once this permit was displayed in the window, we went off to explore St Ives as our check in time wasn't until 3pm.|The Harbour View House is located at the top of a slight hill, which can be accessed different ways including via steps. |The House, and I will refer to it as this, rather than a Hotel because of the warm and welcoming atmosphere it provided from the get-go. Upon entry, you aren't greeted with a traditional 'reception desk' but instead with the glorious smell of freshly brewed coffee and perfectly warm pastries - their 'reception' area doubles as a small coffee stop!|We were welcomed by a helpful gentleman who carried my bag (my husband took his own!) to our room. We had booked Room Number One after looking at each room on their website. Room One guaranteed a double bed and view overlooking the harbour.|Upon entry I was lost for words - the room was absolutely beautiful in a really modern, shabby chic way - my favourite!|We were fortunate enough to have 2 windows, one which did indeed look over the harbour and the other overlooked the bus stop (this was next door, but in no way would I suggest this put you off - it was not noticeable at all) and stunning views over the sea.|I could have (and did...) stand and look out over the harbour for long periods of time, it was absolutely beautiful. |We stayed for 2 nights and this included breakfast each morning! Breakfast was hosted in the room beneath ours which also had huge bay windows overlooking the harbour. The breakfast menu was extensive and the staff were so attentive and made you feel like nothing was too much trouble.||This was our first trip to St Ives and I don't think we could've done it any better, everything was absolutely perfect - from the warm welcome, to restaurants suggestions and genuine interest shown in our holiday from the hard-working team. ||I would strongly recommend booking early (and with a sea view!) at the Harbour View House - we did look at airBNB's alongside this House, but decided on this one due to the reasonable pricing, inclusivity of breakfast, parking availability and guarenteed views. We couldn't have loved our stay more.

Can only comment on the restaurant as we went along for dinner mid week and were not disappointed. Fresh home made crab pasta, chicken salad with the chicken full of flavor. A great place with wonderful views over the harbour and a chef that clearly knows what’s he’s doing. The staff and service was also top notch. Attentive with clear and regular communication. My Negroni was made exactly how I like it. Thank you to Carla for the recommendation.

We just had the most amazing meal as a family of 7, the food and service was impeccable! The quality and standard of the food was brilliant. We have eaten out across St Ives this week over our holiday and this was a standout meal. The setting is also beautiful. The cocktails were also delicious! I also have a gluten allergy and they made me fresh gluten free pasta so I didn’t have to miss out, which was very generous. Also, you must try the lemon meringue sorbet it blew me away! The Chefs and staff also chatted with us throughout the meal and were such a pleasure to meet. Thank you for a wonderful evening.

I can’t recommend this place highly enough. The restaurant is stylish, spacious and has the best view in town. The food is beautiful and there is great variation between favourite dishes and more experimental fair (sadly lacking elsewhere in town). The service is immaculate and they seem to go the extra mile to accommodate, if you are a large group this is one of only places in town you have a hope of a single table. I’ve only been here for the music on a Saturday night once but the blues band were excellent.

We didn’t have a room here, but we booked a table for dinner and were blown away by the food! It was absolutely incredible! I wish we had come here earlier in the holiday so we could have eaten here again, but we learned from our mistake. We had the chicken and the crab linguine for dinner and the lemon meringue for dessert. Everything was perfect - the best food we’ve had without a doubt. The service was super speedy and friendly, and the vibe was very relaxed and tranquil. We couldn’t have asked for anything better. I highly recommend this place and will definitely be back next time we’re in St. Ives!

My wife and I had a fabulous stay celebrating our one year anniversary. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the food was delicious (special shout out to the tiramisu!). Room 1 was bright and airy with lovely views over the harbour. A perfect end to summer!
