Harbourside Fish and Chips

Fantastic! Delicious fresh fish and most delicious chips with salt and vinegar. We had take away and had it on the hoe in bright sunshine. Service was friendly a fast even though it was quite busy at the time. Regular portion was anmple. Excellent value for money.

The best fish and chips I've ever had - light crispy batter, beautifully cooked chips and amazing tartar sauce. My Spanish partner doesn't normally like fish and chips but this place restored her faith in them and she absolutely loved them!

The fish was cooked delicious and cooked well, but as someone who now consumes very little salt I had a slight salty after taste from the batter. The chips were disappointing in that very bland in taste, hence I give one star less. Mushy peas a tad too "liquidy."

Really nice fish and chips with fantastic batter. The upstairs seating area is nice overlooking the Barbican street. Highly recommend

Was told this was the best fish and chips in Plymouth and I can't disagree. I had a seafood platter and my sister had a huge piece of Haddock. All lovely and fresh and the chips were to die for.

Yummy 😋 Sat outside in the sunshine, next to the water. No bother from the seagulls, they were very polite. 😂 Two huge portions, couldn't actually eat it all, and a vegan meal had. We'd all go back.

I had such a great experience here! Tasha gave the warmest and friendliest service, making me feel right at home from the moment I walked in. The fish and chips were absolutely delicious, perfectly crispy, golden batter with tender fish inside, and the chips were spot on. It’s not just the food that makes this place special, it’s the welcoming atmosphere and Tasha’s genuine kindness. Highly recommend if you’re looking for tasty food and service with a smile!

We popped in today whilst out on the Barbican enjoying some sunshine. Everything was fantastic, the food, the service, and also the food arrived very quickly, it was piping hot and tasted fantastic. We’ve been visiting the Harbourside for many years and I don’t think we can name a single time that we were disappointed with the food and service.

I was fortunate enough to visit Plymouth and discover this amazing restaurant. The best fish & chips I have ever tasted. I chose this place because it had the longest line of people waiting to get in. I usually consider that a very good sign. There are choices of types of fish, I chose haddock. It was highest quality with the perfect balance of flavor and crispy texture.

The best I've had in years! Perfectly prepared and very, very tasty. Well situated on the Barbican. Great pubs nearby too!
