Harbourside Fish and Chips

Super cool fish and chips shop in the heart of Barbican in Plymouth! I don't eat fish but they had loads of a veggie options to try and test and taste out and they were sensational! Quick and friendly service, generous portion and reasonably priced. Clean restaurant with lots of seating places upstairs. Would definitely recommend as an eatery in Plymouth!

Fantastic! Delicious fresh fish and most delicious chips with salt and vinegar. We had take away and had it on the hoe in bright sunshine. Service was friendly a fast even though it was quite busy at the time. Regular portion was anmple. Excellent value for money.

We ate in and it wasn’t busy at all ! The fish and chips was delicious and chips were not greasy as I have seen many greasy chips from other fish and chips shops . Overall a good fish and chips shop .

Lush fresh fish and chips! Loved the fish but the seafood platter was a bit lacking for what we expected! Top tip: Take away for a cheaper cost.

Lovely fish and chips from a nice,small restaurant on the main street of Plymouth's Barbican. Seating is located upstairs, so not so good for the less abled person. Everything was cooked to perfection and the fish was top quality. Note: there is a dedicated Gluten Free fish and chips restaurant located next door. I always make a point of eating there when visiting. Very highly recommended.

The best fish and chips I've ever had - light crispy batter, beautifully cooked chips and amazing tartar sauce. My Spanish partner doesn't normally like fish and chips but this place restored her faith in them and she absolutely loved them!

Just popped in for a fish & chips. We did want a lot of chips & the girl at the counter happily said she’d split a medium between the 2 plates. I had haddock, hubby had cod. Both fish were white & fell apart. Batter was seasoned and crispy. Chips were potato not some rehydrated rubbish & not greasy . Curry sauce was tasty, Best F&C we’ve had in a long long time.

We popped in today whilst out on the Barbican enjoying some sunshine. Everything was fantastic, the food, the service, and also the food arrived very quickly, it was piping hot and tasted fantastic. We’ve been visiting the Harbourside for many years and I don’t think we can name a single time that we were disappointed with the food and service.

I was fortunate enough to visit Plymouth and discover this amazing restaurant. The best fish & chips I have ever tasted. I chose this place because it had the longest line of people waiting to get in. I usually consider that a very good sign. There are choices of types of fish, I chose haddock. It was highest quality with the perfect balance of flavor and crispy texture.

The best I've had in years! Perfectly prepared and very, very tasty. Well situated on the Barbican. Great pubs nearby too!
