Harbourside

The most amazing dinner we think we've ever had! Anniversary night out, so no kids with us. Great seat by the window onto the water. Lovely deck with outdoor seating on the water too. Waiter was so polite and helpful. Cocktails $20 each and very interesting combos. Loved the Fireball Old fashioned which tasted like Big Red gum for those who are fans! The squid entree was so tasty with the ginger, the octopus was one of the best combos of flavours I've ever had. Main of duck was perfectly cooked and the mussels, whilst small for NZ mussels, were super tasty with the leek and bacon. Even the side of chips was perfectly crispy! Couldn't fit much else, but managed the Tiramisu cheesecake and it was delightfully alcoholic. Total bill of $195, so a special night out type of cost, but so very worth it.

Great location with indoor and outdoor seating. We went there for lunch. Drinks like Negroni and Martini were good. In main course, the salmon was good, but both the lamb and eye fillets were nothing but ordinary. Massaman curry is worth trying as well. Service was bit delayed (as there was crowd) , but it felt a bit too overpriced if compared with the quantity of food you get.

Food was phenomenal, flavours were done extremely well. The only thing was the timing, we waited about an hour before we got our breads and the whole dining experience was 3hrs almost. In saying that the view and atmosphere was beautiful

Very glad we opted to add extra tofu to our vegan mains!! Protein is what keeps you full, so it's pretty necessary for a good value meal! Ammmazing sauce as usual Harbourside, wow! Lovely cocktails too, would love to see a vegan dessert option in the future, thanks for the epic dining experience!

I adore dining at Harbourside, it is my favourite restaurant in Tauranga. Service is outstanding, food is mouth-watering and the atmosphere is relaxing. Tonight I did find a new favourite on the menu….venison skewers… these my friends are to die for. I nearly told my husband to look the other way so I could steal his too! Can’t wait to come back again soon ❤️

Love this restaurant but sometimes feel disappointed but not this time. Booking was easy. Our visitors arrived late so we asked to pop the booking time back twice - no problem, and the staff member welcoming us on arrival thanked us for keeping him “in the loop”. Server was polite, smart and attentive. Food was fab. We requested a table by the window as it was my bday and our visitors from the UK would appreciate the beautiful view. We were granted that request. Quite full after the mains so didn’t order puddings - however a special chocolate cake arrived courtesy of the restaurant with a single candle in it which triggered a rendition of “Happy Birthday”. Then the waitress arrived with 5 spoons without being asked. How kind. How thoughtful. A lovely touch. Thank you for making my special day that little bit more special!

It was a beautiful day to lunch by the sea. The place got busy pretty quickly. Enjoyed all the dishes we ordered. Snapper with skin on was great. The soup from the steamed mussels was absolutely delicious.

One of our favourite restaurants in Tauranga and do save room for pudding because the dessert chef is next level good. The elderflower gin sour is a must have too.
