One of my favorite spots in the city. Had to bring my mom to try. Service is always amazing. I recommend trying the tea. I love the grape jasmine tea, they make sure it is steeped well. For the cakes, just the simple cheesecake, Mille crepe with fruits or banana is good

The mille crepes was delicious with a lot of fruits inside, and the cream was pretty light despite its rich flavors. The fruit cocktail herbal tea was not sweetened, so it could be a good match to the cake. However, the team seemed to be less organized, so it wasn’t clear that who would take my order and who was in charge to refill the water, and it could be a bit slow. Overall, the food was good, but the service was just mediocre.

High quality Japanese cakes at high prices. I’ve been to Japan many times and this place is very Japanese, with a vibe that might seem strange to New Yorkers. I’ve eaten in here a couple of times and today took out a slice of tasty Irish cream cheesecake for $12. The size of the slice was a little small compared to other cakes I’ve had here and the ones in the case. It’s good quality but for $12 I’d like a little more generous portion.

First of all, their cakes are amazing. Their lunch set is also pretty good as well. For $25 you can choose between a sandwich or salad and it comes with a drink and a lunch slice of the cake for the day. Free refills on hot coffee and tea too! Really enjoyed the BLT with the big slices of bacon and the bread was perfectly toasted. the coffee was pretty good too. The only downside is the smaller slice of cake but I was pretty full after just the sandwich. The signature strawberry cake is a must!

Irish cream cake 9/10 Mango cake 8/10 Mille crepe cake 7/10 Their tea is fresh and refreshing. Their menu changes with the season so you have to try them at different times of year to get certain cakes.

Ever since I first visited HARBS a while back, I have become a big fan of their cakes. I also loved their omelet sandwich too. But after finding out that this locations offers pasta dishes for brunch, we headed over right away! They actually call it “Lunch Set” that is offered every day, and comes with a side salad, tea or coffee, and a slice of a cake! I chose Bolognese for my Lunch Set. It was large in portion, much bigger than I expected. It was delicious, comforting with a subtle sweetness. Each bite was pleasant, we really enjoyed it. And yes, it was quite filling! My hubby went with a seafood pasta, Pescatora. This one looked great too, with a large shrimp placed on top like a shiny prize. It only had about a couple of each seafood and shellfish pieces, but somehow substantial enough. They were plump and perfectly seasoned. Tomato sauce had nice sweetness to it. It was really tasty! As for the dessert, you get to choose from several “today’s cake.” The “Lunch Slice” that comes with the Lunch Set is about the half portion of their regular slice. I went with Green Tea Mousse, and my hubby went with Irish Cream Cheesecake. They were both really good, rich, high quality, flavorful and simply delicious. They had mostly Japanese staffs, and the service was polite, although not overly friendly. They have other cakes and Lunch menu items that I really want to try, so we need to make more trips to HARBS for some tasty brunch!

I went there for Mille Crepe! First of all, I really like how the omelette sandwich tastes. I ordered a lunch set, so I can refill the coffee. After I finished it, a waiter came to confirm if I am ready for the cake. I waited for it like 40 minutes. Then, the cake showed as the photo. The size may be 50% of the regular size. If the cafe has a concern about cost reduction for the lunch set, I suggest they raise the prices. I would still pay to eat the cake! The food was all good. There were not many people during lunchtime which I like it. Again, it would be better if they can improve the time of preparing food.
