I absolutely loved my stay at this hotel. From the moment we arrived, everyone was extremely friendly and communicative, making us feel right at home. We stayed in the ocean view room “Royalty,” which came with a personal concierge, Danny Blood. Danny reached out as soon as we checked in and provided a thorough tour of our room and the hotel, offering plenty of personalized recommendations.||||Throughout our stay, Danny checked in frequently, ensuring every detail of our trip went smoothly. He handled all our reservations and even booked our car back to the airport, allowing us to fully relax and enjoy our vacation. We were celebrating our anniversary, and Danny truly went above and beyond to make it special. He ensured our room was immaculate, we had plenty of towels, and that the minibar was always stocked.||||Dining at Zen, the hibachi place, was a highlight thanks to Chef Miguel’s culinary skills. We also had an incredible experience at Toro. Although I regret not remembering our server’s name, he was unforgettable, singing birthday songs beautifully and providing outstanding customer service. He is truly a gem to this hotel.||||This entire experience has convinced us to stay at Hard Rock Hotels for all our future travels. The exceptional service, attention to detail, and genuine care from the staff made our trip unforgettable. We can’t wait to return!

We travelled as a couple, 40 and 50 years old and had a great time at Hard Rock Cabo!|We had a swim up pool suite, honestly we hardly used it but it was lovely to sit out there with a cuppa in the morning and stargaze at night. |The all inclusive really suited our style. We spent every day at the Adults Only pool that had awesome staff. Always drinks available with the servers remembering your drink and always offering another. Great service!|We loved watching the whale migration with Humpbacks passing by all day, it was special to be able to see this from the pool and beach. |Speaking of the beach, you can’t swim in it, it’s not safe. We are strong ocean swimmers and would not even attempt to do so.|The food in the restaurants was great! Excellent quality and with great service to match. |If you have kids, they would also enjoy.. this resort is really ideal for all ages. |Would absolutely recommend Hard Rock Cabo!

Hall of Fame member: The property is clean and modern and services are top-notch. Staff is super-friendly. The biggest shocker was how windy and chilly it was! Literally bought a sweatshirt st the gift shop. Overall Highly recommend HR Cabo, just double check the weather!! |The butler services from Chetan and Jonathan were exceptional. They responded quickly on WhatsApp, and answered all our questions, saved our seats by the pool we requested, and handled all our restaurant reservations. They handled private transportation confirmations, and resolved all the invoice conflicts at checkout. They constantly checked in on us in person at the pool and during dinner. I can't recommend them enough! |Our massages at the Rock Spa were outstanding. Diaz ensured that I thoroughly enjoyed the hydro experience; I received one of the best deep tissue massages ever from Karen. I didn't want to leave! |The Awaken the Senses dinner was OUT OF THIS WORLD. The smiles on my family's faces were priceless. And to the chefs, THANK YOU for such an unforgettable experience. Your attention to detail, and careful consideration and accommodation of our food allergies was mind-blowing.|HR Cabo, thank you for a great family vacation!

All Inclusive is not so much all inclusive anymore. Food was horrible! You get bombarded with vacation planner right when you walk in the door and during your entire stay. Our best day was when we left the facility and went to town. Had drinks at a cool place (Happy Ending) and had a beautiful dinner at Alexanders at the Harbor (It was fabulous). We did have good service by the poolside. The view was pretty, but we did not really take any walks on the beach because it was very cold and windy. As for the overall experience at Hard Rock, I was very disappointed, we wont be back.

We stayed at Hard rock at the end of April and it was amazing! So many things stood out during our stay. The resort was beautiful and very well maintained. The people were amazing, everyone so nice and helpful. Depending on when you visit check the weather. For us it was very windy!! A light pullover is perfect to bring. Also, the wind made some pools just too chilly to enjoy, however we found a spot at the main pool most days and got lucky in a little corner with plenty of sun and minimal wind. Most stand out though was Sergio!!! He was our server at the pool and he was amazing!! We had a party of about 15 people and he went above and beyond the entire day making sure our drinks were never empty and we were never hungry. He knew what we needed before we asked, so amazing he is a keeper! Also, Mar, at the the concierge desk, amazing! I went to her before my sister arrived and let her know that she was getting married off site during our stay, she went above and beyond to make sure her room was special when we arrived. She even followed up with us 2 days later just to make sure everything went well and to check if we needed anything else. Thanks so much for an incredible stay!

I booked this place because of the amenities I saw online, and it did not disappoint! From the moment we arrived until we left, everyone was extremely friendly and helpful. The restaurants, spa, and bowling alley were all fantastic. We even enjoyed a night out at the club inside the hotel.||||I took my girlfriend here for our anniversary, and Danny Blood made sure it was special for us. He truly made this trip and experience exceptional! Danny planned everything and gave personal recommendations, making this a truly relaxing stay. Thanks so much, Danny! Rock on, amigo! 🤘🏻 This entire experience has convinced us to stay at Hard Rock Hotels for all our future travels. The exceptional service, attention to detail, and genuine care from the staff made our trip unforgettable. We can’t wait to return!

My husband and I spent our 32nd wedding anniversary here. The resort was super clean and beautiful. The staff is very attentive and friendly. We loved our pool time with Anaval and Christopher. Kendal, at the front desk, was also very helpful. We would highly recommend this resort if you are looking to relax and be spoiled.

My family and I recently had the pleasure of staying at Hard Rock Cabo, and it exceeded all our expectations. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with exceptional service that truly made our vacation unforgettable. A standout feature of our experience was the incredible staff members who went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect. Special mention goes to Jose and Gabrielle at the Steak House, Josh at the Brazilian restaurant, Chris and Super Pete for their entertaining performances, David at the Mexican Restaurant's bar, as well as the staff at Zen and the coffee shop. Manuel and his team kept the drinks flowing by the pool. A particular thank you goes to Karen Caballero, our concierge, whose dedication and attentiveness made our stay seamless. No request was too big or small for her, and her assistance was invaluable throughout our trip. The resort itself is a haven of safety and cleanliness, with modern amenities that catered to our every need. From the well-appointed rooms to the variety of dining options, Hard Rock Cabo left nothing to be desired. One of the most touching moments of our trip was seeing how much our 6-year-old daughter adored Chris, one of the entertainers. She was so sad to leave him behind, which speaks volumes about the lasting impression the staff made on us. In conclusion, our time at Hard Rock Cabo was nothing short of exceptional. We are grateful for the memories created and the outstanding service provided by the staff. Thank you, Hard Rock Cabo, for a truly unforgettable experience. We can't wait to return.

Yelp
Truly amazing! Just got back from Cabo San Lucas Hard rock !!! Check in took about 20 minutes and the room was everything we dreamed of. We stayed here for 9 days and felt like we needed more time lol. We stayed at other places in Cabo before but this was one of the nicest hotels ever. All inclusive and the room service was exceptional. I got a manicure and pedicure at the saloon and my husband got a massage and he said it was amazing. The last day we went to the steakhouse and it was the best steak and asparagus I've ever had in my life. This was the best trip ever

Yelp
We love Hard Rock in Cabo! I've stayed here 3-4 times. Always great. Incredible staff everywhere you go, good food, fast room service, comfy beds and what a clean and beautiful property! We also rented a car for a day and Hard Rock was so accommodating for us getting our car. We are thankful for Ale, from Concierge who was always thinking of our needs. I highly recommend this as a nice vacation spot. We had so much fun last night at the New Year's Eve party. We got a couch and just had so much fun. Great memories were made this past week. Thanks Hard Rock!

Yelp
Cleanliness of room/resort, 4. Room was nice although there appears to be a water reclamation capability between Hard Rock and Nobu that releases some unsavory odors into the resort when the wind shifts. Food, 2. Was hoping for much more. Taste experience is cool but rest of property was just ok. We ended up going to town for meals rather than eating here. Service, 3. Inconsistent w/pockets of good and bad. Be prepared to ask multiple times for things...and don't be surprised if follow-ups are required. Room was not serviced for 1.5 days and mini-bar was not stocked despite multiple requests. Some service was great--bellmen swift to help in/out of resort and spa experience was enjoyable. Timeshare pitch, 1. Relentless. Assured that the discussion would only take 90 minutes, but after engaging with four layers of salespeople we got released over three hours later.

Yelp
This was our third hard rock resort that we've stayed at. The resort had much more night life than the others I've stayed at. The entertainers were so lively and definitely made our trip. Everyday they had different games by the pool and shows in the night. There really is no need to leave the resort if you choose not too. We had an incident with our safe and they quickly came to unlock it for us. The restaurants were similar to the other locations we've stayed at for the exception of two additional restaurants. The rooms are very spacious and ours had and indoor and outdoor jacuzzi. We really enjoyed the exclusively of the members only areas/ pool. The food options at the members only pool were superb. We came here for 5 days and it truly was not enough time. I would defff recommend to participate in the activities that the resort puts on for guests.

Yelp
I have never been to Mexico but I decided to book my wedding at the hard rock hotel. Everyone we had come into contact with at the hard rock has been AMAZING and has made mine and my new husband wedding experience amazing! When we first checked in Danny Cruz and gabby from concierge were so helpful and so nice. Then Eddiana, Ana rogue, and Jesse in the wedding planning department have truly been the BEST. They have answered every question and concern without a problem. I will definitely be returning to this hotel ASAP. Personally would like to thank EVERY SINGLE worker at the hard rock for being so generous, we had a truly amazing time!

Yelp
I had an awesome time at this resort in Cabo for my close friends wedding! This was my first time in Cabo, but I was well aware the beaches were unswimmable, as most Cabo beaches are. So, that was no problem. I will say, most of the staff at the resort are extremely nice, welcoming and friendly. That was a highlight of the trip for sure. The grounds are well manicured and clean. There's pretty good lighting for walking around at night too. The resort itself is big, but not too big. I do wish there was more signage to help you get around, also the elevators and signs are really confusing. Little changes there could help guests a lot. I loved that they always had someone making drinks randomly, so you can always grab a mimosa or margarita. The alcohol they use however, is either very watered down or just not high in the alcohol content because we almost never felt anything after several drinks. That was a bummer, since we did pay for this all inclusive experience. But I also know how some all inclusives work. Also, we paid for the Rock Royalty level and didn't even get everything that comes with it. We even went by the front desk to ask about those things and were kind of just blown off and still didn't get all of those things. So, save your money there. We did get the free 35 minute couples massage though, which was amazing! We also paid to bowl in their bowling alley...the AC wasn't working inside and it was uncomfortably hot the entire hour we bowled. The lanes were bad and not oiled at all, so it was really not a good experience. The food was pretty good everywhere we went, even room service was good! It was a fun resort, with some live entertainment. A few things that could be improved on for sure, but we had a great time!

Yelp
We stayed at the Hard Rock Cabo for my bachelorette and it exceeded ALL expectations. From the moment we arrived on property, we were in awe. The staff went above and beyond to ensure we had the most special trip. Everyone is so welcoming, the hotel is very clean and the food was delicious. They have a variety of pools and restaurants to choose from and you can't go wrong. Special shout out to Leonardo Mena, Director of Sales, and Gabbi Meza, VIP Concierge, who helped make it an unforgettable trip! They are the best!! We can't wait to visit again.

Yelp
Whatever you do, DO NOT HAVE YOUR WEDDING HERE. My friend dropped $100K for the wedding WITH THEIR VENDORS AND THEIR WEDDING COORDINATOR yet they are still charging us AS A confirmed WEDDING GUEST $1500 total to JUST ATTEND the entire WEDDING. For those brave souls paying for the "day" pass, be warned that they start charging additional $$$ ON TOP of the $180 per person fee if you don't report back to the front desk by the 8 hour mark. So if you're planning to come for an all day wedding, you might have to chose your time wisely, find a sugar daddy to be your +1, or be prepared to spend more than $200 to merely attend as a wedding guest. Full story: My friend's wedding is a traditional Indian wedding that spans 4 days and she spent MORE THAN $100,000 for the entire wedding WITH THEIR WEDDING COORDINATOR. So imagine our surprise when we were told by the Hard Rock staff that in order TO ATTEND THE WEDDING ONLY and leave immediately afterwards, we would have to pay $180 per person despite being guests staying at NOBU, which HAS THE SAME OWNERS. Our stay at NOBU has been fantastic and completely the opposite experience than here. My concierge at NOBU assisted with coordinating getting us to and from Hard Rock with Nobu staff and was absolutely wonderful, a sentiment I unfortunately cannot say about the Hard Rock staff and/or policies. We had no desire to stay in Hard Rock past the wedding event, as I already have plans for the rest of the day. The wedding event for the first day (Mehndi & Maiyan) was ONLY 2 HOURS but we're not allowed to JUST ATTEND MY FRIENDS WEDDING without forking over $360 PER DAY. We literally had transportation arranged to leave THE MINUTE THE EVENT CONCLUDED, and so we were receiving No food, no amenities, no hotel room, just SIMPLY ATTENDING THE WEDDING ONLY. I understand the need to charge for everything, but is it really necessary to CHARGE WEDDING GUESTS just to ONLY attend the wedding that was already paid for by the Wedding Party? My friend already dropped $100K for the week's wedding with THEIR VENDORS AND THEIR WEDDING COORDINATOR. Charging us $1500 to ONLY ATTEND THE WEDDING, left a bad taste in our mouth and put a huge damper on what should be a very happy and exciting event. On top of that, the wedding was inadequately planned/executed, with guests being told to gather at 8a for breakfast but not actually serving food until after 9a. Other examples include: - Bride's side had no idea where to meet as instructions were constantly contradicted and we were aimlessly wandering around for an hour. - Hotel room blocks for wedding guests were discounted at a generous rate of $10/night less than regular price - we were told to gather for the outdoors ceremony around noon-Ish when the hot summer sun was beating us down with the humid heat. But the ceremony didn't start until a whole hour later. - oh, did I mention that registering as a wedding guest took 45mins? After taking our $180/pp, they also confiscated each person's IDs and wouldn't give it back until we reported back IMMEDIATELY after the wedding to confirm our departure. They actually wanted our passports but thankfully accepted our IDs instead. I don't know about you, but taking 45 mins to register us AND holding onto our important documents AFTER charging us $180/pp as WEDDING GUESTS screams all kinds of shady to me. It's harder to get into Hard Rock as an invited WEDDING GUEST than to get into Costco! - the list goes on and on Just from this unorganized and unpleasant interaction as a wedding guest attending A FRIEND's WEDDING, I would never come to Hard Rock and wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy.

Yelp
Heads up for families with young children: ours are 4 and 6 for reference. The rules are ridiculous and they do enforce them. You have to be 43 inches for the slides,, no exceptions. Your kid could be 42.5 inches and it's a strong no regardless of age or swimming ability. Very deflating for my son who was so excited for them. Kids club was just ok, but they are extremely strict as well. The boys from the other family we were with who had done kids club at multiple other hotels said this was the worst because of the rules and apparently they were forced to play a game they didn't want to. Lastly, the kids have loved being in the hot tub all week. Not just our kids, all the kids here. On our last day the lifeguard walks up and lets us know no kids allowed in the hot tub. It's not even hot, it's warm, so the logic behind that rule is confusing. So they can't do slides, they can't do hot tub, they don't like the kids club... it really rules out a lot of their opportunity for fun. Lastly, if you like hot showers don't come here. I've had one hot shower this whole week.

Yelp
I stayed here for 7 days right as Spring break came underway in March 2023. The resort sits about 40 minutes from the airport on long, windy roads that are part dirt and part concrete/highway. The sister resort, Nobu is an easy golf cart ride away. Nobu is the much more modern, tranquil, and 5-star sister to Hardrock. First things first, if you are not here for a TIMESHARE, tell them no from the get go. The minute they think you MIGHT attend a 'free' breakfast, they do not stop at anything. Sadly, they were calling me each morning before 9a. I came for rest, relaxation, and to reset my mind and body. Instead, I was awaken abruptly 3 days in a row until I finally put my foot down and said NO to the breakfast and unplugged my phone before bed each night. As for the resort itself, the maintenance team works their butt off. There was a lot of areas you can tell were refreshed, which sometimes does not happen at other resorts where you might see crumbling or old grout. Here, everything was clean and in great order. The humidity levels here are not that high so that likely helps as well. The pools were always clean and the restaurants as well. All the props to the staff here! Every single person was there to please and make sure you are happy. They were all lovely! For a 4-star all inclusive experience, I do not recommend unless you have kids and can plan everything in advance (reservations at the spa/food/excursions) and saying NO to the time share. This felt more like 3-star and mediocre. Food: 3/5 as many said. I liked their breakfast, lots of options and good veggie egg-white omelettes. Lots of authentic sauces to go with that to get creative each morning. FRESH juice/smoothies....so amazing and added greatly to my stay. Lunch options were sparse. You can hit the pizza place with typical american fare and wood fired pizza. Room service likely came from there. The buffet was not my thing and lacking unless you like a limited mexican sit down menu, salad from the buffet or soup (i indulged in this most days because it was a simple chicken broth based soup with various veggies). it was light and refreshing. Dinner options were everywhere. Sadly so were the lines. Everything opened at 5:30 so you did not have a chance to "beat the crowds" and either had to wait ages to sit because I was told I would not need a reservation (Get them!). The options were good, just limited based on availablity. Entertainment - The staff have it going on in the evenings and even during the day at the main pool. Shoutout to EVERYONE involved. There was live music each night on the lobby floor from 8:30-9:30. And at 7:30 a show downstairs that was interesting and different each night. Pleasant surprises. Can't swim in the ocean. Each pool is very loud and plays different music. If you're in the Mexican restaurant you'll hear 2 music types from the restaurant and 1 from the pool. Overwhelming. Due to location, this is a windy resort year round. In town is less windy. The club downstairs was very loud and always seemed like it should be full but was usually empty. This is where the bowling is. I came with a friend who does have a timeshare (they love it), and my room came with room credits. It worked out that the resort overprices everything x4, so you get the credit applied and pay 20-25% which ends up costing equal to what you would pay in the states for excursions and massage. You are better off just going on the excursions and skipping the massage unless youre in the mood for one on the credit. Its not worth paying the full price $250 that they post. Overall, if i had to choose, i would not book here again, but it was an ok experience and good if you want to just party hard or have kids as they have quite a bit geared towards them.

Yelp
So I've read a lot of reviews for here and I would like to share my experience. Yes, I came here for a wedding as part of a block. Yea, this is my first all inclusive experience so I did think it was expensive but I am enjoying my experience thus far. It is about a 45 minute ride from the airport, and with bussing to the terminal, going through customs, waiting for transportation to the hotel, it was a process. But you deal with it and move along. There's drinks waiting for you when you wait for your ride at airport and bars everywhere. The body rock gym was nice and clean, minimal equipment but enough for a decent crowd. The classes at gym were fun. I am not used to buffet eating (offered at los gallos and the market) but it honestly has not been bad at all. It's not the best food but it's fair. Heck, I ate a plate of paella pool side while listening to live music. Toro steakhouse was delicious. Rehearsal dinner at los gallos and wedding was held in the chapel. Chapel was small but pretty. You cannot swim in the ocean, and you sign a contract agreeing to that. You can walk along the beach and see the wonderful views though. Lots of solicitation that can easily be avoided if you're not interested. All of the staff is welcoming and extremely friendly. They want to make sure you're having a great time! Room service took literally 15 min after dinner one night for some desserts and glasses of wine. Housekeeping kept room clean and tidy. I am having a great experience thus far. I do believe it is for the younger 20-30 something crowd though.

Yelp
Hotel Hard Rock, If we could give you 10 stars we would. My now Husband and I stayed at your hotel a week or so ago for our honeymoon. When we first arrived we were greeted by an extremely friendly front desk employee who gave us all of the information we would need to make sure we had the best experience. Once we were finished with the introduction we were kindly escorted to our BEAUTIFUL room, with the most amazing view. The rest of the experience was absolutely amazing. The staff at this hotel is not the only reason we will be back, but it is the main reason. These people made sure every single day we had the most incredible time. You could really tell that the goal of each and every one of them was simply to make sure the people staying at this hotel had an incredible time. These people treat you like family from the moment you arrive until the moment you leave. To specifically name a few: Porcayo & JP (pool side service): These two employees in particular went above and beyond to ensure we had an excellent time. They made sure we never had an empty drink in our hands and every single time we started to get hungry they rushed food to us right away. They even went as far as walking the perimeter of the pool (imagine walking a balance beam) to get our drinks to us. This was completely unnecessary, considering if we wanted to we could just swim up to the pool side bar and order a drink. But they made sure we never had to do that because they constantly took the time to serve us in or out of the pool. You could tell both of these guys work their tails off every single day they walk onto that property. Not only was their service flawless, but they learned our names and treated us like family. Both of these men deserve a raise. If anyone is reading this comment and taking a trip to this resort, ask for these guys to take care of you by the activity pool!!!!!! They will make sure you have a hell of a time!! Sebastion, Super Johnny, and Chris: The entertainment team at The Hard Rock was really top notch. You can tell these kids are extremely passionate about what they do and they enjoy their jobs, entertaining guests. Not only do they enjoy it, they are actually very good at it!! All of these guys went out of their way to personally talk to us every single day and really get to know us while we were there. They would approach us to play games, karaoke, do pool pilates, dance with the band or DJ. Never a dull moment when any of these guys were around. They made sure EVERYONE felt comfortable and welcomed to participate in all of the fun things they had planned day to day. They also work A LOT and never seem to get tired of it! Lol My husband and I participated in all of the activities so by the second day Ryan had won a poolside competition and the rest of the trip the entertainment team called him Senior Chili Pepper or referred to him as Mr. Hard Rock. Lol they also deemed me Karaoke Queen and each day they made sure to treat us like Hard Rock royalty. These guys were great HAHA! Victor & Christian: Two of the best bartenders we have encountered anywhere. These guys were not only quick, but you could tell both of them studied long and hard to be excellent at what they do. Their drinks were always spot on, service was quick and smooth. The conversation with them was also entertaining, fun, and made the bar experience we had fun and exciting. There were plenty of places to visit in the evenings before dinner for a drink, but we always stopped to see these two guys above all other bars because they really knew how to work a bar crowd, make an excellent drink and entertain at the same time. Not only did these people make our first stay at The Hard Rock-Los Cabos phenomenal, they are all the reason we have decided we are going to make this place our permanent vacation spot. We take a couples trip every year or so to the beach, but have decided this is now going to be our annual spot for vacationing. Thank you so much for the incredible experience and the honeymoon of a lifetime. We couldn't have dreamed up a better week. Trust me, if you're looking for a good time, this is the place to go! To add, we're from New Orleans, so we know a thing or two about a good time LOL!!

Yelp
Had a good time Over all. But for a all inclusive they need to be more inclusive Turned away several times at restaurants that were empty saying they were full for the night, don't know if it's just preference, tried to get in to zen they said we are full for rest of the night?with 5 empty tables then a family came and she said for them to wait . ( I waited to see if this was actually happening) sure enough they were let in 5 min later what?!!!!!! Don't know what that means but just isn't consistent we paid the same money

Jillian H.

Yelp
Replying to the Hard Rock: Our friends booked the beach dinner, not us. Reservation was under them. And why would we call you when every time we talked to staff and requested anything the answer was 'no'. You weren't going to do anything above the bare minimum for your guests so you weren't going to do anything when we complained of stomach issues.

Yelp
The WORST all inclusive experience ever. I DO NOT RECOMMEND booking here. We're never coming back. There are much better all inclusive resorts half the price in Cabo closer to town. There are major issues with their operations. The food and staff were great, but it doesn't make up for their ongoing issue. We are resortists and vacation to Mexico 4x a year so we know our fair share of all inclusives. -you pay an average of $600 ish a night and you expect a certain level of quality. You expect to eat at their restaurants and experience their dining scene. The very first night, we thought we would be ok going to dinner at 6:30 at Toro steakhouse. All the restaurants open at 5:30, no problem right?! So we waited at 6:30 for 30 minutes in a Disneyland line only for the host to tell us the restaurant is full for the night, ok. Put up a sign so people don't waste their time. So we go to Zen Sushi, same long line only for the lady to say they aren't taking anymore people for the rest of the night. We go to Inpanema, same thing. Then we go to the buffet and it's closed, same as Ciao. We saw hundreds of people doing the same thing and we spoke to them and they said the same thing at the Los Gallos Mexican. If 1 place full, I get it but ALL THEIR RESTUARANTS WERE FULL FOR THE NIGHT @ 6:30PM. Everyone at this point is freaking out because there's no food. We spoke with concierge, their attitude was "too bad for you, go order room service or get a sandwich at the cafe for dinner". How do you order room service if they don't answer the phone and people said it's a 2-3 hour wait for food. My friend's husband got really frustrated and complained at the front desk. Over 30 minutes the front desk finally got fed up and called around to see if something was available. He got us a table at Zen at 9pm, 2.5 hours later. HOW DO YOU PAY OVER $600+ A NIGHT AND CANT EAT DINNER?! It was like the hunger games, you fight for food. If you know you are over capacity for the New Year weekend, then reassess and open the buffet. Or don't book to full capacity. - pool towels run out our first day and they told us to come back in 45 minutes. So we did and they still didn't have towels. WTH? It was cold too! Heard from other guests they run out every day, so people start hoarding towels. Like hoard. They should regulate that. -all the chairs at the pool are reserved for members. Then other regular guests save chairs at 8am with a sandal or water bottle and then it's super hard for people who want to enjoy the pool for a couple hours. We were there at 9am everyday and barely got a pool chair. There's no reserve signs but everybody does it. -no reservations available or allowed for non-legendary members and non- large groups for restaurants. So the restaurants just get reserved for members and or large groups. Otherwise people like us, (couples or small parties) get screwed. -the hotel is far from town. For 4 people it's about $35 cab ride to dt, one way. It's like you're on a Disneyland island. No courtesy shuttles to downtown either like other "5 stars" resorts. -Many large families and A LOT of kids everywhere. It's like a great place for family and large gatherings. But they over run the hotel. It felt super Disneyland-ish and gimmicky. -Super watered down drinks. -No events or shows on the beach. -Rooms were nice and big, except the AC did not work well. -Adult pool was not heated. The other pool were heated but overran with kids. -Food: one good thing, the food was pretty good, very Americanized. Morning buffets at The Market, Ciao and Los Gallos. Toro- probably the best (if you can get in) the filet mignon is the best. The flank had a weird after taste and the ribeye is just all fat and super chewy. Inpanema- Brazilian steak, where they come around with the grilled meats. All the meats were dry and over cooked. It was a weird experience. Zen sushi- probably the best "sushi" for all inclusive bc they let you order sashimi! Ciao- our least favorite for all inclusive Italian, usually it's good but their lasagna was a joke, the seafood pasta was bland and sad. We skipped Los Gallos for dinner bc we get better Mexican in San Diego. The Market for lunch was awesome bc they had the grill station. They had a ceviche station one day and it was amazing. Overall, everything was pretty good IF things worked like it should. Like if you could get dinner/food, towels and a pool chair. Otherwise, short staffed, all super friendly though and high possibility of not being able to eat at their restaurants. Not worth the stress on vacation. Go to another all inclusive that is able to accommodate you.

Yelp
This the worst Mexico stay I've ever had. I can't believe that the resort would not have a notification that the adjacent property is under construction, It is a noise nuisance, that we should have been made aware of. I requested an ocean view room and I got a sand pit! I had dump trucks and excavators for my view! There was no "ocean view " I was extremely disappointed. The amount of money we spent on this trip was insane. I would not recommend going to this resort. I spoke to the "manager Gabriel" and he was not willing to compensate us for our cost of booking. I am extremely disappointed in HARD ROCK! It is in a remote location. No where near any tourist attractions. The restaurants are far from adequate when we arrived at 3 o'clock 2 restaurants were open. For a resort of this size, all options should have been available. This resort just wants your money!! I DO NOT RECOMMEND!! I'm saddened by posting this today as it's my first day here. I'm not impressed. Also they give you a wristband which is also your room key and if you lose it, it is a $75 charge to replace it which is ridiculous because it's a one time use wrist band that they will throw away when you leave.

Yelp
All inclusive and food is not yummy, they carry top shelf liquors but will tell you they're all out and sell it to you separately. pools are way too crowded you're lucky if you can find room, & when you arrive your bombarded by people saying they're gonna help you book activities when they're just trying to sell you a timeshare but don't say it from the start and waste your time. The manager was nice when they left the door open and the clothing was found wet and with mildew so thankful to her for helping with that. Also the bathroom had worms The view and hotel itself are nice but not worth the price for all inclusive.

Yelp
If your a partier or love getting drunk and yelling. This is your place. If you want your rock and roll and have a relaxing vacation this ain't the place for you. All American and Canadians living it up which results in a crowd which loves that lifestyle. The food is above average. Buffets are passable and nothing delightful. Rather go out to a real restaurant and pay for quality. Place is secluded and 20m from town and any resemblance of culture. Sure Rock and roll is my thing but I appreciate diversity.

Yelp
Just got back from my vacation and stayed at the Hard Rock Hotel Los Cabos. This was my first time in Mexico and after reading the bad reviews I was skeptical. To be honest do not listen to the bad reviews. The staff were amazing and the food was delicious! This place is amazing and I will return to the Hard Rock! This place is also kid friendly but has sections for adults only.

Yelp
Just got back from our stay and it was wonderful. The staff were so knowledgeable and friendly. They had so many restaurant options that were all so good. Toro, Ciao, and Los Gallos were our favorites. Marcos was our server by the pool and he was amazing. We made sure to tip very generously through our stay because for everything that was included in the all inclusive, we wanted to thank all our servers, bell boys, bartenders, etc. (it definitely goes a long way as well). Already looking forward to coming back soon!!

Yelp
Great resort location for recent trip. Looks amazing however it's all little smaller than I expected. Loved the view from our room. Room service was amazing. The staff are very friendly and help with every need. It was very easy to book excursions and transport to the local marina. Everything csn be charged to the room if you prefer. QR codes in use throughout the property. We loved having the electronic wristband key cards. This ensures you never lose it or have to worry with carrying it. 1. Resort is a distance from airport as well as marina and excursion properties. Be prepared for 30min+ or longer rides. 2. Due to the strong currents, this location does not allow ocean swimming. This also impacts any water sports. 3. The steakhouse reservations fill up quickly, book asap if you wish to visit. 4. Resort is very fsr from everything so you'll need ride share, taxi or have hotel set up transport for you. Hotel service is great if you have a large group ($100/roundrip. They can accommodate up to 10 people.)

Yelp
An expensive place to be treated like dirt. We have been here 4 days and not once have I been able to find pool chairs to sit. Everyone saves them, but when I saved mine today I didn't tip a pool boy, so they took my articles to lost and found. And they are always "out of beach towels". Time share nightmare. If you have a yellow band, you are the sorry people. If you pay for their overpriced memberships you can be treated like a rock star. If you're gonna spend this much money go to Four Seasons where you are not treated in a "class system".

Yelp
tldr: I was honestly a little surprise with the quality of our stay after reading all of the google and yelp reviews. Food and service was pretty good, and would definitely recommend staying here. My partner and I was at this Hard Rock for a wedding, we stayed here for 3 nights and 4 days, and tried out most of their restaurant. We had no AC problems (I saw lots of reviews on those not working), and the service in general was excellent. Here is a review of the restaurants that we tried: Zen: we ordered a la carte off of their menu and did the Omakase the next night. The a la carte menu was a hit or miss, the baos and ramen was some of our favorite. The Omakase was good (this will be different than ordering sushi off of the menu), the Hamachi and scallops was decent in quality. Ciao: we came here for breakfast on multiple days, we especially liked the fresh french toast. The Market: the market was ok, we tried their breakfast and lunch buffet. Probably our least favorite restaurant for food, but quality was at least "meets expectation" Ipanema: I wish did a full meal here, but we just met with some friends here late one night. Not sure if it was the time that we came here, but the meat options was a bit limited. I still throughly enjoyed the pieces that I did try. I would recommend coming here for dinner. Los Gallos: we came here for lunch, and tried their buffet and ordered off of the menu. I was surprise with how much I liked their buffet, there was many ceviche options and they were all pretty good. I actually recommend doing the buffet instead of ordering a la carte. Drinks in general was more middle shelf, which based off of what I've heard of other cabo all-inclusives, could've definitely been worst. The cocktails was tasty for the most case, and nothing was watered down. Service was great across all the board, their people was REALLY attentive, they made sure we had drinks and food at the pool at all times, and they make sure we were comfortable I did not give them 5 stars because while the food was better than expected, I wouldn't say it was outstanding quality (this is to be expected, but I couldn't give them that final star)

Yelp
The level of service was not up to the standard I expected from a facility of your reputation. We have stayed with other reputable brands in Cabo and have had a concierge available to us with our accommodations package. When we asked the front desk if there was any sort of service available, the front desk associate said she would check, got on the phone and then we were immediately greeted by a friendly woman assuming she would be our concierge Taking at least 30 minutes of our time before my husband and I realized that she wasn't there for us as a hotel liaison, but rather to sell us on a timeshare or loyalty program. We politely declined her offer as we only have a few days to enjoy our 1 vacation of the year so every moment is precious. (By the way she proceeded to call our room at 8a the following morning to try to sell us on an experience again, which was totally out of line.) We were naturally exhausted from traveling by the time we got to our room and just as we laid down on the bed for a quick rest we realized out hotel room door opened directly into the quad area where there was a MASSIVE Indian wedding happening. It was SO loud it shook our room. But... we're at the Hard Rock hotel so we figured the experience might be a bit more lively compared to relaxing which we were okay with, although a little heads up would have been nice. When we went to shower, there were no personal care products and for the first day of showering we didn't have hot water. The following evening when we had another registered guest over to sit on our patio and we were talking in a normal to quiet voice around 11p. We had security called on us to go inside of our room!! There was a massive event AGAIN that evening in the Quad which NO ONE had ever mentioned to us nor had anyone ever mentioned "quiet hours" or that there was any restriction on us enjoying the expensive swim up room we paid top dollar for. On Sunday night, Nov 26th, my husband and I met two other guests in the pool that day, and another couple at the lobby bar. We all met up from dinner and grabbed some drinks at the Lobby Bar afterwards. We were having a GREAT time... It was getting later, probably 11 or 12pm and none of us felt like the Club scene was our thing... We offered to have our friends over to show them our beautiful pool suite that we paid so much money for. A total of 6 of us went back down to our room to sit by the pool and have a few beers to close out the night. It was fairly early as we made our way through the huge "Welcome Event" in the event space outside our front door. So this time my husband turned on some music on the TV. NOT on a portable bluetooth or something with any power... just the TV on mid level volume. Within minutes, two security guards and a manager were knocking loudly on the door. "We've had noise complaints, they said, you need to turn off your music..." OK, I mean it's a hard rock hotel and it's apparently fine for you all to blast me out of my room with music... but again, not worth a battle. We went back into the room and turned the TV off. This time we went into the water - of our swim-up suite... that is connected to a semi private pool. A few us are wading in the water, having a beer and speaking at a normal volume when the same three security guards show up at the room next door's pool deck and begin yelling at us that they've had "multiple noise complaints" and we need to go back inside our room! My husband explained, as calmly as possible, that we refused to do that. He once again asked them to provide the policy that we can't use my pool past a certain time at a HARD ROCK HOTEL, Swim-up suite! Just show us the policy! Show us where a married couple, and a few friends are not allowed to be in the pool that we paid for outside our room! Show us where it is posted, or where someone went over the guidelines with us during check in. At this point we were so frustrated my husband disengaged from the trio and waded away to take a few deep breaths. To our shock and awe, they refused to leave and continued for the next hour to stand there and harass us and the other registered guests of your hotel that we were visiting with. At one point in the exchange the manager desperately claimed that we were only allowed to have three people in my room. REALLY? So... you're telling us that we are not allowed to socialize at a HARD ROCK hotel with other guests in our room? That's against policy?? She seemed to immediately realize how silly her argument was and retreated from that position. This situation got so confrontational, that my husband finally had to tell the manager, she was welcome to call the police and arrest us, if we were being disorderly or breaking the law... swimming in our pool, not even listening to music, chatting with our friends... Frankly we lived in fear from that moment on that she would in fact call the police. Had we known " the rules" we wouldn't have stayed here

Yelp
On Dec 9 I met with Jorge and explained the challenges. He was very apologetic and immediately corrected the situation. This was satisfactorily resolved and I have now changed this a 4 star rating. Aside from the challenges with room the experience from check-in to check-out was great, The staff, food and service from front desk, restaurant and concierge was great. Thank you Jorge from concierge for your prompt and caring assistance.

Yelp
Go on ahead and visit the bar first, but not for a watered down drink. Grab some paper napkins. Visit the marketplace, and remember those napkins? you'll use them to spit out the poor quality meats and food. You may have to wait for a table though, but not as long as you'll wait for a table at Ipanema. We waited for 25 minutes for Impanema only to find the restaurant empty and the buffet old and picked over, even the fish under the heat lamp was cold. The steak house was open the first night we were there. The waiter recommended the NY strip. EEEEk. I was very fatty and flavorful. They had a "fire" midweek and it wasn't open the rest of the week but we had to evacuate the building - the smoke alarms did not go off - the front desk called us, how is that for safety - so we went out to the concrete courtyard for over an hour while the late April wind chilled us to the bone. They were very disorganized and said they would bring us into a ballroom to "count" us but never counted us. But back to the food. After asking 2 months in advance for special dietary accomodations we were told "no" with a smile. What's the point? Zero customer service with a smile, and sometimes a bow, like lipstick on a pig. Remember those paper napkins, try the food but be ready to spit it out, because in these fine dining establishments, you'll get polyester linen napkins. Honestly the Hard rock could easily cut their food offerings by 75% and increase their quality and come out even. Poolside (and I've never had this experience) I was very happily served four COLD hard chicken wings. I'm still confused over this one. On to the room. We had an upgraded suite on the 6th floor, 2605 to be exact. It was a cold, smelly room that really needed maintenance. The paper was peeling off the backspalsh behind the TV, the walls were scratched, the side tables not dusted and the shower moldy. The bed was hard. The towels were low-loop, low quality, stained towels. The room smelled. Musty. Moldy. I don't have the greatest sense of smell but it stunk and the bed was a rock. At this point, I started to think of our week there as Hard Rock Prison. The in-room Nexpresso machine produced the worst, most bitter coffee. Honestly someone at Nexpresso should be shot and quartered. The drinks at the lobby entrance coffee bar were only barely better Poolside the drinks were watered down. The service obsequious and the food cold and low quality. The wind was absoluting chilling in late April and the pools were cold. The jacuzzi was warm but not hot enough to warrant getting in. I loved the violence of the ocean and the waves. Finally in this resort you don't really see or expereience Mexico. You experience their idea of your american vacation. Choose another location.

Yelp
This review is a total reflection of Hard Rock Hotel and Paradise Pass/Vacation Planners (PP). There were 4 big things that happened during our trip, that made us never want to return to a Hard Rock Hotel.... I purchased this years trip (6/16-6/20) via PP last year when I was at UNICO in Tulum. I made a total payment of $1500 dollars earlier than I wanted to take full advantage of the resort credits that were offered for early payment. These credits totaled $900. I scheduled two excursions and elected to use my credits towards them. After being told, via email, that both tours were covered up to 75% of the cost I was good to go. Fast forward to the 16th of this month, we finally touched down in Cabo San Lucas. When we made our way to the shuttle, I was given a receipt and told to hold onto it for the return trip. That's it. Once we made it to Hard Rock, I was told the credits didn't apply to one of the excursions I reserved. It's obvious how I felt about that. That same day, our bathroom flooded from shower use. Water was backed up all the way to the toilet and we had to use all of our towels to clean. Mold also was present in the bathroom. After asking to change rooms the following day, 17th, we had to wait an additional 4 hours for the available room. One of our tours was during this time, but leaving our bags out in the lobby was unsettling. We were given a free cabana to make up for the inconvenience, which was appreciated. When we tried to use the cabana the following day, 18th, it was overbooked. We had to wait an additional hour for something else to be corrected with this hotel. The POC for helping us get to this point was Luiz. He was helpful initially, but in the end his help didn't get us far. After trying to enjoy the time we had left our vacation came to an end. Our return shuttle was scheduled for 10:10am on the 20th. I did not do a good enough job with scheduling the shuttle for the return trip. That being said, I wasn't told of this return time either until the morning of the 20th when I looked at the receipt. Ideally, This is information I should've been told from the jump when I landed. We ultimately had to pay $100 for a taxi back to the airport. And to add insult to the disaster of this whole trip, I was approached at the resort by someone in a suit that "overheard" us saying we had a bad trip and he wanted to talk to us about it. My patience was tested because I found this super insulting. Out of all the days we were there for, this man should've made an attempt to talk to us then. If he truly overheard us talking about the trip then he should've heard how pressed for time we were. If you want to spend your hard earned money for the vacation you paid for, don't patronize Hard Rock. PS. Pictures taken in shower were after an hour of waiting water to drain

Yelp
Stay away from this resort. I even have the legendary membership and got horrible service. This is the second time we stayed at this resort. AND WE WILL DEFINITELY NOT RETURN!!!! We had a great time 2 years ago and decided to return this time for thanksgiving. We booked 17 rooms and spend a ton of $$$ to stay at this resort. Food quality is much worse compared to two years ago. Most restaurants are first come first serve but it takes 2-3 hours to get a table. First night, we went to the steakhouse around 6pm to put our name down. Finally, at 9pm we were seated. This is too long!!! This is my 5th night here and we still experience same ridiculous wait times for dinner. We tried going to the other restaurants to see if they can accommodate us sooner but they all were about the same wait time. All other Mexican all inclusive resorts I have been have a buffet option for dinner. The buffet was closed 3 out of the 4 nights. They are very short staffed and it takes forever to even get silverware and napkins. I even had to pour my own water and get silverware myself. Ridiculous!!! Once your order is in, you will most likely not see your server again. I don't blame the staff. It's the management team that overbooked and understaffed. Also, good luck getting a lounge chair by the pool. Most seats are reserved for the legendary highest level membership. Most days we shared 2-4 chairs with 70+ people. Some days no chair's because the majority was reserved. Overall. I'm regretting getting this legendary membership. I'm hoping that the new cancun resort will be better to make my membership worthwhile. Everyone in my party 70+ people said they will not return due to the horrible service and meal situation. I'm giving it 2 stars for the nice room and excellent room cleaning service.

Yelp
Updating: If I could give this less than 1 star... We ended up changing our flight bc we literally can't stay here even one night but unfortunately, no other options. We've been here for less than 4 hours and we're ready to leave. One of the worst experiences ever. It's like they are trying to do tacky Vegas in the middle of a beach resort. The hotel is not in great shape, its kind of dirty, there is debris and food in the hallways, plaster is falling of the walls, the staff utility rooms are all propped open, lots of noise, and it smells like industrial cleaning products. Since I wrote the below review, we showed up for dinner at one of the only 3 restaurants on property that are currently open for dinner. There is a long wait because of course they don't take reservations. We have people pushing in line, being rude... Thank GODDESS we were able to change our flight to leave tomorrow... The food at Los Gallos for lunch was TERRIBLE. I cannot stress that enough. The "salad" bar was not much salad and what was there was wilted and not fresh. The chips were stale, thick, and tasted werid .Flies were out of control and we had to ask several times to get one of the "fly fans" which helped a bit. Burrito was tasteless and primarily beans, with minimal meat and ZERO veggies. House wines are not drinkable and we had to ask multiple times before we found out that there is actually a wine list where you can buy better wine - ~3x the prices in US, BTW. Most of the restaurants are closed for dinner. Not sure if that's a Friday thing, but that seems weird. We ate at Toro. They advertise "local fish" but actually only serve salmon, which is not local. So... The adult pool is closed. The Eden (quiet) pool closed at 5 for a private party. Around 5:15 a very loud band started playing and even tbough we are on 5th floor with our patio door closed, it is blasting in our room and we're told this will go until around 10:30/11. So much for a quiet, relaxing, beach experience! The spa and other amenities are run by some vacation club that is a complete pain in the ass to deal with. Never in the hundred+ spa experiences I've had around the world have I been told I have to wear a bathing suit for all spa treatments. Not sure how that works when one gets a scrub, wrap, and massage, but there was no clarification other than repeatedly telling us we needed to wear a bathing suit "at all times" so we cancelled bc I'm not going to pay $600+/person to get a half-assed scrub, wrap & massage. We got a sales pitch when we walked in and we weren't allowed to get our luggage (which they insisted on taking) or go to our room until we sat through 10 minutes of someone trying to sell us on a membership. She was actually kind and just doing her job and I felt bad that we were just 1000% not interested. The lobby was crowded, so noisy we could not hear the person in registration. The staff were actually very nice, helpful, and trying to take care of us, but this place is so poorly run, and requiring all guests to go through this vacation planning/time share company is ridiculous. We are going to dinner tonight but likely leaving tomorrow. Oh, and there is a ton of construction going on, so it's noisy, dusty, and many of the "views" are actually looking at construction vehicles driving on the sand. Will NEVER EVER EVER stay here again and doubt that we'll even consider EVER STAYING AT another Hard Rock property after this experience. NOT TO MENTION THIS PLACE IS NOT CHEAP - I MEAN, THIS IS AT BEST WORTH $300/NIGHT AND THAT'S BEING GENEROUS - AT LEAST I KNOW WHAT TO EXPECT AT A HOLIDAY INN!

Yelp
This place was incredible, besides the parasite i and multiple of my family members got while staying here which has been murder for a month now. I'm only taking 1 star off because it's a Mexico and it is what it is. Stay away from raw fruits and veggies where you cannot peel the fruit and under no circumstances drink the amazing fresh squeezed juices. 99% chance i got the parasite from their green juice from fruits and veggies not washed properly. Beautiful hotel, you'll love the lobby and the rooms are solid, albeit nothing great. Get a high floor as far out as you can, tip the checkin person $10 and they'll dial you in. Service, the best anywhere i have ever stayed. Thats why they get a 4 star review even though i was deathly ill for 2 weeks when i returned and my stomach is still rumbling. Who know i could of caught it in America, although highly doubtful. You will never find more happy and loving people than in Baja. We hugged waiters and pool servers when we left. 2 stand outs were our waiter 2 times at the Mexican joint Arturo, the greatest server at this resort by far. We hugged after dinner our first night, seriously. And Mariam the sweetest pool server who took care of us like family. Also shout out to Caesar one of the helpers at the pool who made all the cocktails severs lives easier. We all loved Caesar. Would i stay here again absolutely! Would i be more careful next time since i wasn't in anyway on this last trip. Yes!

Yelp
Absolutely In shock that the Hard Rock would put a freaking wedding in the courtyard of like half the property. Like I get that you are a dying brand because your target clientele (boomers) are getting older so you need to get your money where you can...evident by the intense used car salesman pitch you get for their timeshare program but I really wonder on the thought process to alienate like the majority of your guests but blasting music until 10:30pm at night. Go ahead and watch the video to see how loud the music is with the doors closed. I can only imagine all the other parents with young children seething like I am as they try to get some sleep on a vacation? I guess that's just too much to ask. I am completely shocked that our party and every other person overlooking this ****show actually paid money to be assaulted by this noise disturbance. Like insane. So keep that in mind if you plan on staying here, there's a pretty good likelihood your sleep will be interrupted by the inconsideration of the hard rock allowing a wedding that will disturb at least half of the paying non wedding customers. Also if you want to know about other aspects of the resort- you won't find a single fresh mixer at any of the bars...all bottled syrups and mixers so everything is cloyingly sweet. You'll probably just end up drinking beers cuz that's the only thing that's palatable. Food is average. I would say 3/5 stars. Nothing is memorable except maybe the beans and breakfast sausages at breakfast. I guess I didn't get sick so that's a plus. Room is basic. Housekeeping came daily to keep it clean so that's good I guess. You can't swim in the ocean due to massive waves so keep that in mind; pool only. Though out of the 5 days we were here only one has even been warm enough to even get in the water. Highly recommend you don't don't to Cabo in Jan/Feb as it's more than likely you will get lots of wind/colder temps. And as mentioned before they push HARRRRD for their sales pitch to buy a timeshare. Don't fall for the presentation like we did. It went 30 min over their 90 min suggested time. And literally the credit they offer you in exchange is a joke. We did a boat tour they were saying was $125 a person and we happened to talk to two other people on the tour that went on it independently and they said they paid $20 each lol so basically it was like $20 an hour to be hassled to come back to their mediocre resorts. No thank you. Don't waste your time going because you might actually get suckered into coming back (the sales people are good at their jobs after all) and I really just think you should reconsider giving your money to a brand that cares so little about your patronage after they've got your cash that they would allow this debacle of a party in community space. Hoping this is the final nail in the coffin that my husband will never make me come back to a hard rock again. One can hope

Yelp
Upon check-in, we were greeted by a timeshare representative who was very pleasant. However, he explained to us we could attend a 90 minute presentation to receive a few discounted excursions. Unfortunately, the presentation ended up being four hours and we did not get a discounted price on our excursions because the planner refused to help us after dealing with the presenters. It was very frustrating, considering we only had limited time there. We purchased several items/excursions from hard rock and was double charged for everything leading to our account for this trip being put in the negative. The prices of the clase Azul bottles were fluctuating by each individual asking - one day we purchased it for $300 the next day we purchased it for $280 and another couple purchased it for $170. Upon check-in, we were told by our luggage helper that our room would be automatically cleaned every day and it was not. I booked the hard rock solely for the experience, and was highly disappointed with the overall outcome. I do not think I will ever return to another hard rock institution again.

Yelp
My husband and I spent 10 days/9 nights for our wedding and honeymoon. Overall, it was a decent experience but we would not return..at least not to this location. I'm in the hospitality industry and this was not a 5 star experience Wedding experience - Preplanning process was painful. It took days to receive a basic response from the wedding team. My coordinator and I was regretting choosing the destination experience. BUT, once we arrived the process was effortless. Ara and the wedding team was amazing!! Room/Housekeeping - had a Junior Suite, was totally impressed with layout and pool view. My wedding guest that had ocean view were disappointed with all the construction. * Apparently there is some shortage of linen because we had to call every single day and request wash clothes after housekeeping cleaned the room and left all the other towels EXCEPT washcloths. How annoying to rush to shower for dinner and realize there is no clean washcloths?? * Wed 11/1- there was a water shutoff so no access to shower and flushing toilet in my room. No advance notice, annoyingly had to call the front desk to discover the water was shutoff for some type of repair * Thurs 11/2 - the day before our schedule check out date. My husband and I room key was locked out. Went to the front desk, requested a manager to ask why BOTH of our room keys were not working and Diane (manager as she says) was totally un empathetic. She says maybe they got demagnetized. I responded, "both keys??" I asked to speak to another manager and she said "well you can talk to the concierge team" and pointed to the concierge desk behind me. I recommend better training for your front desk "manager Restaurants - Amazing! All of them. Valentin over delivered with attention to detail and service. Spa - Chinnito and spa staff was totally 5 out of 5 Samuel - Bellmen and Mayer at Front we're also rockstars Pool experience - Lyric Pool and staff was the best experience next to the spa. This is the only reason i'm giving a 4 out of 5 rating. Luis, Neto and Ramon were awesome! Lastly, I voiced my concerns to the Concierge desk and was contacted by a manager and offered a $50 voucher to the gift shop. Are you serious? We stayed 10 days, 9 nights, had 30 guest with over 59 nights, and I tipped over $55 per day between housekeeping, dining, pool, etc and you feel a $50 voucher was acceptable. I regretfully declined. If you want a 5 star experience, try Breathless or Sandals!

Yelp
I had been eyeing Hard Rock Cabo for months for my 40th birthday. As we were in Winter 2021 & in the midst of pandemic I was initially hesitant to book. Luckily the hotel was one the 1st ones to provided free COVID tests prior to departure back to the states so I went with my gut and booked a package. Check-in: Trip was already paid so not too much to cover in this area except incidentals. Drink of choice provided to you at checkin. The catch is that AFTER, you're greeted by someone and spend almost 2 hrs going over scheduled reservations, scheduling our covid tests and add-on's. We hadn't even explored our suite yet and we were starving. Glad we got it done but we were ready to start having fun! Grounds: The hotel is beautiful and clean. You have to wear a mask when walking the grounds of the hotel. Palm trees & many pools but we stayed by the main pool area where everything is. 2 days after our initial stay, we walked the entire property. There is definitely a quiet side which is where the red pool is. By the main pool, there's a DJ & pool activities usually til 7/8pm and hookah was available. In the evening, one night was an outside acrobatic show and Thurs & Friday the club was open. Food: If you're looking for authentic Mexican food, it won't be here. Because Hard Rock is a chain, you will get more Americanized food options. Out of the 8 restaurants, we ate at 5. Although it's all inclusive, you have to make a reservation at this time because of covid-capacity requirements. My friend and some others we met were obsessed with the sandwiches at the 24/7 market, especially @2am lol. Spa: LOVE the hydro treatment at the spa before your service starts. It was 1 of the best hot & cold combinations I ever had. Then I had my scheduled deep tissue massage with added hot lavender oil treatment. Service: Customer service was a huge hit but a few small misses. We had to call for items that should have been replenished in the room as a standard but most of all, my tree-nut allergy was overlooked twice. My best friend ordered room service the morning of my bday and it was a plate full off walnuts sprinkled over the fruit platter. Then as we were given desserts by the pool, they didn't know what had nuts in it so I couldn't eat it. I had it on my reservation and advised the front desk @ checkin. The staff were all super-friendly, but who stood out to me the most were the following: Keyla, Mayer (supervisor), Luna, Metao, Blanca & Romedo. Keyla is THE BEST bartender at the whole property and Luna is such a sweetheart and sooo fun. She was in charge of the pool activities on 2/18 and had us dancing on my birthday by the pool so much. Keyla kept the drinks flowing in the afternoon & evening. Mayer was super attentive every time he saw us. Check-out: Leaving was bittersweet, we needed 1 more day. They cut your wrist band but they give you a temporary pass to still use the hotels amenities until you fully depart the hotel. We met some amazing people from all over at the resort but the most ironic was running into my high school classmate while dining @ Zen hibachi. Overall I enjoyed my stay and 100% will return. I've been to the 1 in DR which is huge but Hard Rock Cabo is more personable. I wasn't looking to party hard for my 40th, just a cool chill vibe with unlimited tequila and this was it :)

Anna V.

Yelp
All the staff was amazing! Very friendly and seem to really enjoy their jobs. Food was way better than the one in Punta Cana. The property is smaller making it more manageable to walk around. Entertainment was always enjoyable. Cons: And it's a big one for me! The weddings that went on everyday until 11pm. And they were extremely loud!!!!!! The after party's we're OMG! People screaming at 3am up and down the hallways. I can appreciate a great party, I'm Latina. But these were extreme. Vacation should be relaxing. I shouldn't have to put a pillow over my head to drown out the noise. It felt like I had the club in my room and I double checked to ensure all the doors were closed!

Yelp
I stayed at Hard Rock Cabo this week for a friend's wedding. Our group made the best of it and we had fun. The wedding itself was beautiful. Unfortunately I would NOT recommend this hotel if you plan to visit Cabo. Location: It is super far from the airport. You're forced to pay for an expensive taxi ride ($50-$100) for over 1 hour ride to the resort. The resort is in an isolated area, 30 min+ taxi ride to town and other areas. They don't allow you to use Ubers or Lyft. Due to this we were stuck at the resort... The ocean is the Pacific, the waters are too high and aggressive to swim in. This was disappointing! I was hoping to be able to use the beach. You can walk along the beach for a bit but are quickly told to go back on land because it's too dangerous. Check in process: We were tired from the long ride over and the flights. We just wanted to chill at the room. As soon as we got out of the car, they kinda shuffled away with our bags and led us to the check in counter. I assumed they would be putting our bags in our room during this time. After the check in, we were led over to a table and sat and listened to a guy talk for almost an hour about the resort and such which was actually just a long and drawn out sales pitch for the "Legendary" membership. Ridiculous...my bag was finally returned and we could go to the room. Atmosphere: They are trying to be a fun resort. It's pretty loud, a lot of music blaring. At the adult only pool, there were two speakers playing totally different music. It's hard to relax here. It's more of a party place. You can hear people yelling and screaming outside your room at all hours of the day/night. The building is also poorly built... there were leaks throughout and were were often getting dripped on while eating and hanging out. The alarm system went off multiple times during the night and early morning, woke us up. The excursions or outside activities are extra, not included in the all inclusive. Our friends paid $100+ each to fish and when they got there it was a lottery system so not everyone got to fish. They weren't explained this beforehand. Staff: They appear to be over staffed with many people standing around... it was kind of weird. Some staff are super friendly and went above and beyond to help us (I appreciated this!) They are also pushy with the sales tactics for their "Legendary" time share/trips. Don't be fooled. It's a scam and costs thousands (USD). It sounds shady. Many of the staff are hired to sell the membership or upswell you something. It irritated me and I felt pretty exhausted by it when we finally got to go home. Rooms, house keeping, room service: We got a room with a great view but other guests had difficulty checking in and were given rooms with little to no view. The room was very humid and hot. Our bedsheets were damp 24/7 even after being changed. Our clothes and belongings felt damp too. The bed linens were dirty, with large black scuff marks and stains. The floors looked dirty as well. It just didn't seem clean at all. The AC somewhat worked. The room had a smell of sewage like many others have said. It came and went throughout our stay. It smelled like a stinky bathroom. Housekeeping is hit or miss. They come at random times or not at all. Sometimes our room was cleaned, other days they never came. Room service menu is very limited and not 24/7 as they say. During late night, a few of our friends were left on hold and never got food. The phone just rings and rings. Food: Awful, I was so sad about this!! I guess I was expecting better quality but the food is all mass produced, microwaved or poorly made. Ciao was scary bad! Torro meat was lacking, they struggled to make a good steak. The best food was the French fries, chicken strips, and the buffet items and breakfast. I'm sure people aren't expecting to pay thousands and flying across the world to eat that for five days..haha! Lastly, alcohol and drinks: Watery, inconsistent and overall bad. We took shots mostly. You order one thing and get something completely different or not at all. They have one "club" called moonlight which is really just a bar. It gets packed. There's not much other nightlife at the resort.

Yelp
I wish I would have read more reviews before booking. I relied on TikTok and that was my mistake. The Bad: Diluted drinks, there's no way I should physically consume 10+ drinks a day and be alive to tell the tale. If you are a foodie, this should be a hard pass. At first you're thinking wow, so many restaurants and 24/7 room service - sign me up! Except the majority of the restaurants are only open for dinner and have long lines. Breakfast is the same across all the restaurants and the food is just okay. Toro and Los Gallos were fantastic and the Teppenyaki at Zen is no better than a Benihana knock off. I don't care that my rice was shaped like a heart when its burnt AF and my steak and shrimp are chewy. Also if you're looking for a young and sexy crowd, this ain't it. I'm late 30s, married and a mom so what do I care but I can imagine the shock of mainly seeing families with young children and a 50+ crowd. The Worst: Being upsold the minute you step foot on the property. There's someone there to "introduce you to the all inclusive resort". DO NOT ENGAGE! They will trap you there for a 30 minute minimum for a presentation that results in a reservation for breakfast to sit through a 90 minute presentation the following morning. We originally said yes to the reservation but once we realized it came with the presentation commitment we were like, no way we're going. The next morning we started getting phone calls to our room at 8am and they didn't stop until the evening. We witnessed the harassment of those same staff in the lobby and the pool. I didn't come here for this. When we checked out they tried to get us to buy a 5 day 4 night trip to one of their other properties and guess what - I will never stay at another HRH property as a result. The good: It's a beautiful property, really warm and friendly staff, stunning standard rooms. The outdoor tub is fun. This is a great place for large groups and families and I can see how this would work out for traveling here under those circumstances. Conclusion: I'd rather pay a la carte at a standard hotel, one where I get regular strength alcohol instead of light beige tequila or one where I don't have to wear dark glasses and a hat trying not to be seen by vulture staff.

Sandra Arely C.

Yelp
You can't swim in the ocean, they don't have any palapas near the sand either. Alcohol level is very basic, should be more premium for what they charge. Food is regular for breakfast and lunch, though dinner restaurants are very good. Charged us for leaving the room 35 min after checkout and had horrible attitude about it, they never said they would charge this amount, nor they have any information about this displayed. Rooms are ok, but bed sheets are not luxury. Overall I'd say it's a good hotel but would not describe it as luxury or high end.

Hanan J.

Yelp
Service: staff were attentive and you could tell they were working hard for extra tips but the hotel really screwed them over by not offering a way to tip on the credit card put on the room (like other all inclusive resorts do). We were able to purchase goods from their stores this way but not tip. Seems like they don't really care too much about them. FREDDIE and FELIX at the rhythm pool were amazing, extremely attentive of our drink situation. Cleaning staff were great and even helped us clean up the projectile vomit situation all over our room from the food poisoning (see below). Food: Every night at least one or two restaurants were closed and the others always had a minimum hour wait (no reservations allowed) Caio dinner- waited an hour at our table with no drinks or apps, never got half of our dinner. Literally half never came. ***Ended up getting extremely violent food poisoning from Zen (their in house sushi restaurant) and couldn't eat or enjoy anything for the last two days of our trip. We have had extreme stomach pains for 3 days now and my bf says it was the worst he's ever had in his life. When we finally had an appetite, they told us we were ordering too much room service food and that we're only allowed one entree per person. The audacity at this "all inclusive" is real. Music: The music at the main pool is extremely loud and plays allllll day from noon until 10:30pm. It can be heard clearly even when the patio door is shut and didn't allow for day time naps. Highly recommend overlooking another pool if this will bother you but keep in mind all of their pools play loud music, it's just that the main one is obnoxiously loud. They switched up the genre which was nice considering we had a 5 day stay there. Some advice would be to play a more "chill music vibe" at the rhythm pool which would offer some sort of variation from the rest of the hotel instead of the same music everywhere. Room: Pleasantly surprised with the room size and cleanliness. We got the junior suite and it had a small kitchen (mini fridge and no microwave). Considering this was an all inclusive they could've added some alcohol to our arrival besides the two corona cans in the fridge. Location: in an extremely remote area (Nobu is next door which in retrospect we should've stuck with their restaurant). The drive to town takes a while (25 min) and costs $35 each way. Airport is 45 min away and costs $100 for 1-4 people. The ocean is too rough to swim in here so do not come for that. Watching the sun set on it each night was the highlight of the stay. Alcohol: drinks were always watered down and we figured out we had to order a shot on the side of each drink and add it to make it the normal strength. I guess they keep people from being obnoxiously drunk this way. The moonlight bar was great and the bartenders always made delicious drinks while we waited for that hour before dinner. Their music vibe is EDM which we loved. Pros: service (sometimes), numerous pools, ocean sunset, room cleanliness Cons: food poisoning and not great quality food, watered down drinks, loud music, tip options Side Note: we read reviews about dodging the concierge selling experiences which we did (thank god) and always walked by people who looked miserable getting the spiel.

Yelp
Mar is the sweetest and takes such great care of us everytime we come! She always does special things to make us feel welcome. We met Yicel this trip and she took fantastic care of us as well. We've been here many times and love seeing our friends every time we return. Thank you Mar and Yicel for taking such great care of us!

Yelp
Do not, I repeat, do not book this hotel. Unless you want to be tortured by sales people at every turn starting at check in. We booked through Costco travel and I'm disgusted that I have to be badgered after spending thousands of dollars on a long awaited vacation. I understand it's the "hard rock' hotel but we're on a family vacation and they're blasting music well past 11:30pm. It's ridiculous. Setting is beautiful. Water slides super fun. Certain staff members are wonderful. The sports courts are great. Service and food are average. But the attempts (many attempts) of them pushing timeshare presentations are painful. It's a trap. They try to get you to these presentations through any means they can. Without the points, bowling is $200. Go to a presentation for 1.5+ hours and it's $50. Who wants to spend their vacation doing that? Not us! A rip off and then they try to get more of your time and money once here. Run. Run fast.

Janelle L.

Yelp
Worst experience ever! I am on a vacation w my family and the AC has not been working for almost 24 hours. The rooms are horrible for my children that are slipping and falling on the floors that are wet due to the humidity of the ac not working. General Manager Angel Medina is nowhere to be found and forcing his staff to lie to guests. Do not come to this resort. Vacation from hell! If I could give them zero stars I would!!!

Mel N.

Yelp
After multiple attempts to resolve this matter with the reservations team, the dispute was issued with the credit card company. However, it's been removed for two weeks and still no refund. I spoke personally with the credit card company who verified this. I'm not sure why the hotel is so keen on keeping folks money for such a large establishment. I received an email from the hotel that my refund was processed, that was five days ago, and yet to receive it. We have several people from the wedding party that have not been refunded over the last 30 to 40 days. please fix this instead of checking the box on the review. Such poor service.

T B.

Yelp
Great staff, very thoughtful and service oriented. Food quality is below fast food. Drinks are moderate at best. Not great brand quality and house wine is almost not drinkable. Rooms below average, power outlet not working in bathroom, humid room, bed is comfortable. This is no 4 diamond or 4 star. I'd say 2-3 star unless you're in your twenties and just want loud EDM music at the pool and drink all day. Maybe okay for families with lots of children, certainly not high to moderate high end adults.

Yelp
Extremely disappointing, the worst vacation ever, never coming back. We came here for my wife's birthday and Hard Rock totally ruined our time/experience. We'll probably never visit another Hard Rock location after this horrible experience. See below for details: Sales The moment we were done with the check-in, the salesperson had us sit down and listen to him trying to sell the membership and other extra cost products (e.g., tours, spa, etc). for about 30 minutes. He also tried to make a 90 minutes breakfast appointment with us. When we declined, he seemed very annoyed and started to give an attitude. Seriously, who would want to spend 2 hours with a salesman during the vacation?? These are the types of things that I am trying to be away from during my vacation. A/C Issue AC was not working for the whole resort when we checked in on Saturday. We asked several staffs about this issue. One pretended like he doesn't know anything, and another person told us that they are working on it and will fix the issue in a few hours. One day passed and till no AC. I just found out from other reviews on Yelp that the AC has not been working since Thursday. It's so hot, humid, nasty, and suffocating everywhere including our room. It's just extremely unreasonable and ridiculous for the resort/hotel of this level to have its entire AC system out for 4 days (or possibly even longer since they haven't fixed it yet). Alcohol Mostly watered-down. They put too much water in the beer, felt like it's not carbonated. Often times, you won't get the brand of alcohol you ask for, especially if you're ordering alcohol from restaurants. Food I don't have high expectations for the food at all-inclusive resorts but still very disappointing. Most menus were mediocre but steak was the worst. It was served so undercooked. Inside of the meat was still cold. Flies/Insects There are A LOT of flies everywhere. I understand it's a beach resort with a lot of open spaces but it's just way too much. We had a couple of meals at local taco places off the street of downtown Cabos before coming to this resort. There are more flies in this resort than local taco places off the street! There are other insects like mosquitos, moths, and gnats so I can't even have the window open when my room doesn't have AC. I could go on about smelly pillows, dirty room conditions, plumbing issues, and a bunch of other stuff but now I'm too exhausted suffering from hot weather with no A/C. This is just a total hell/nightmare. Edit - Pros Staffs are kind in general. It's a fairly new facility so nice interior design and various amenities (e.g. game room, multiple pools, water slides, jacuzzi tub on the balcony, etc.). There are different activities going on throughout the day and nightly shows were pretty nice.

Yelp
Horrible experience. We took our 6 girls with 6 moms for a senior trip on spring break April 2023. I am rating a 1 because of safety. The security staff started following our girls with the us moms right there. We approached them about what they were doing and they acted stupid, like they had no idea what we were talking about. They videoed and took pictures of our girls, then the last day put black gloves on and took more pictures. We locked ourselves in our rooms the last night and prayed we would make it out of here with our daughters. The we looked up and saw a review that showed the exact same thing. This has to be happening to others, I guess they are not posting out of fear. Do not go here, do not take your teenage daughters. This is a scary place and not safe.

Yelp
We arrived for our friends wedding and it has been nothing but a complete nightmare. We were aware of the storm coming through, but the hotel staff and management has done such a poor job handling the situation. Out of the 5 days we were supposed to have here we have been outside ONE day. We were told to stay in our rooms and not leave without receiving any food or water that was promised to be delivered to us. The hotel staff completely scrambled and ran out of resources to accommodate everyone on the morning of the storm. Debris was falling everywhere, signs were falling off, the walls were leaking with water, this hotel is SO BADLY built. Please keep in mind that we have our 16 month old baby with us. After being yelled at for trying to get out of our room, we finally get shown a huge empty conference room that is available for our baby to play and run around in. The AC has not been working in the public community area of the resort and with them trying to cook and accommodate for everyone, the entire place has filled up with smoke. There is no fresh air to breathe. Food was cooked briefly in the hallway, in which lines formed with waits up to about an hour for over cooked hamburgers and hotdogs. Every dinner reservation we have made we've now been told it's cancelled and no longer valid. My husband got food poisoning after one night of us eating out at Toro. I'm sorry but what have paid over $3000 for? To be trapped inside and shown no kind of respect? I won't even begin to discuss our friends' wedding and how badly that was handled. Embarrassing how bad this hotel management is. This is a huge scam, do you research before spending this kind of money to come to a resort.

Yelp
We stayed at the Hard Rock Resort for 7 nights and 8 days during the 4th a July 2022. Not the first time we've been to an all inclusive in Mexico though. We went to Can Cun the year before. First, I'll start with the arrival at the airport. You have to pass all the people on the inside, no matter what they say they're not from Hard Rock. Once you get outside you look for the Hard Rock representative who will guide you to the taxi van that'll take you to the resort. It's about a 45 minute drive from the airport and the scenery is pretty much just desert landscaping. Once you enter you'll be greeted by the baggage attendants who will tag your luggage and have you go inside. Then someone will greet you with your name on a paper who will say that they'll take care of you once you finish at the front desk. That person, is a time share representative who we'll do what they can, including giving you resort credits and other things to attend the time share meeting. The time share meeting is only 2 hours and you get to learn about what it's like to become a member and partake in the time share they offer. We did not go for the time share but it's important to know that they focus on this if you're going to stay there. They don't bother you after that, and you can enjoy your stay and all the amenities without fear of being approached over and over again. The staff is the best to be honest. They really know how to take care of their guests. The room is super clean and the balcony with the hot tub is just perfect for relaxing. Every room has one too. Room service is 24 hours and usually only takes 20 to 40 mins for the food to arrive. The room gets cleaned daily with freshly cleaned towel replacements. They also have a fridge full of drinks that get replenished daily as well. The air conditioning has a sensor that detects movement to save on energy costs. Good and bad, because when you're sleeping it turns off. The restaurants are majority open for dinner only and though you don't need a reservation, I highly suggest you still do it for every night you want to eat dinner at the hotel. The wait can be really long. Breakfast is served as a buffet at 2 restaurants. For lunch we ate at the pizzeria by the pool that has wings, tacos, pizza, and much more. Other days, we went on trips to go snorkeling, Atv riding, sailing, shopping, etc. Which some provide lunch. Remember room service is 24 hours as well. They have multiple pools; one of them is called the legendary pool which is only for members. The rest are for everyone; however, some pools are for adults only. Good if you want some quite time. They have servers at each pool. Remember it's all inclusive so drinks and food galore. One of the pools has 3 slides for the kids and adults to use. Every night there is a show! The performers are honestly top of the line. I feel like I can say that confidently being from Las Vegas NV. The bands and the DJs are amazing as well, there's no boring night at the Hard Rock. There's also a gym, bowling alley, a club, a resort spa, basketball courts, tennis courts, and a few stores. Overall, we had a blast, it was the right mixture of relaxation and partying. A much needed vacation indeed. If you're looking for a place to stay while in Cabo. I highly recommend the Hard Rock. The only down falls to me is that the beach is not swimable due to the waves, the resort is 25 mins from the city, the jacuzzi is lukewarm, and most of the restaurants are only open for dinner. If you're planning on going out for the day most of the trip, these things really aren't bad at all. I noticed it because we stayed at the resort all day long for at least 4 out of our 8 day stay. Hopefully these things that I've mentioned helps you decide on Hard Rock resort Cabo. Enjoy and stay safe!

Yelp
This hotel was fabulous even thought I arrived a day after a hurricane wrecked some damage on the property. My room wasn't ready as expected upon arrival but hey I understand they were short staff after the storm. The food was good but the service I received from everyone was very nice. All of the staff is friendly and willing to help if needed. Plus having unlimited access to top shelf liquor doesn't help. I cannot wait time return to give an update hoping they are fully staffed then. Muchos Gracias
