Hard Rock Hotel Penang

When traveling with kids this is a great hotel. Swimming facilities are excellent and it has direct access to the beach. We stayed at one of the family rooms on the ground floor which was great. Not the biggest room but the kids had their own private little area. All very neat and clean. Staff were great especially during breakfast at the restaurant. Location is excellent if you just want to hang around the pool and beach. There are also some restaurants at the beach within walking distance. Also the night market is within walking distance. If you want to visit the more historical landmarks in Georgetown then you need to take a taxi which can take up a lot of time because of traffic.

Love the Hard Rock Hotel at Batu Ferringhi. Have been many times and is always great. Last time, the kids were babies and we had Roxy suits. All grown up and we had 5 Lagoon rooms. These are amazing - straight into the pool. Staff were friendly and catered for whatever we needed. Had a fantastic family holiday. Only two small issues is that although the Lagoon rooms state that they sleep 4 - this is all in one King Bed. Our kids aged 9 and up were much too big and we added a rollaway bed at an extra charge. Lagoon rooms only comfortable sleep 3 (unless they can sleep in king with you). Extra rollaway bed in each room solved the sleeping arrangements. One other minor point is that GF is not well catered for. There is a GF menu but certainly don't order the pancakes! Overall, we had a fabulous family holiday and would go back again.

Its a great place for a short family vacation. A resort oriented place with pools and tubing for kids to enjoy time in water with some kid plays indoor. Since the Beaches in Batu Ferenghi area are not so acceptable for kids swimming hence this is a good option as a sound place that assure safety with life guard around and easy visible place for parents to watcht their kids while they play in the mini water park. The staff here are well trained and competent. But as usuall they should keep upgrading their facilities and improving their skills since expectations are growing and it comes with the name. 😇🤝

Hard Rock Café Penang truly exceeded all our expectations from the moment we arrived. The welcome was warm and genuine—every staff member was proactive and full of energy, always ready with a smile and eager to help. Whether we needed extra recommendations for local attractions or a quick refill at the juice bar, the team anticipated our needs before we even asked. The rooms were spotless and thoughtfully laid out. Fresh, fluffy towels awaited us on arrival, and the bathrooms sparkled—so clean it felt like a brand-new suite. There was plenty of storage space for our luggage and belongings, which made unpacking a breeze, and the beds were incredibly soft and comfortable. We slept better here than we have anywhere else in recent memory. Breakfast each morning was a delight. The buffet was vast and well-organized, with live-cooking stations offering everything from crispy local pastries to made-to-order omelettes. Healthy options and fresh juices were all perfectly managed, ensuring there was something to please every palate. For families, Hard Rock Café Penang is an absolute playground. The kids’ area kept our little ones happily occupied, while the beach—just steps from the lobby—provided endless fun for everyone. Parasailing, paragliding, jet skiing, and banana-boat rides were all available through highly trained instructors who emphasized safety at every turn. Parking was the least of our worries thanks to the ample, secure spaces on-site, and we always felt completely at ease under the watchful eye of the hotel’s top-notch security team. In short, Hard Rock Café Penang combines stellar service, superb accommodations, and a thrilling array of activities to create a truly unforgettable stay—for families, couples, or solo travelers alike.

Nice 5 star hotel. Rooms are clean. Nice lobby .And good quality of food. Price of food at the hotel is a bit high compared to the same level of nearby hotels Large pools. It’s a Family friendly hotel : there is a fitness club and a play area and a kids club . There are slides in the pool for kids and adults as well. Nice breakfast. Beach is not private u can access the beach but it’s for public

We came in May which we supposed should not be too busy but quite busy actually. We booked the room with executive lounge and we felt being treated with privilege upon check-in already, not to mention that the access to the lounge and the service we received was super! The free live music in the lobby on the weekend was great, too! Will definitely come back again!

Services and cleanliness are excellent. The location is a bit far from the city so if you plan to only stay at the hotel, then the location is good. There are other hotels nearby as well because the hotels are accessible to the beach. Their shower gel and lotion smell so good, I think they sell it but I'm not too sure about that. The pool is great, my kids love it. They have 2 kids clubs, one is for a certain group of age, another one is for all ages. To be honest my kids only played at the all age kids club since the other one is for drawing/coloring activities and they have like schedules and some activities have fees . Overall it's a great vacation spot but I want to also highlight that the food there doesn't quite suit my palate.

We have great time there. We will not fail to fail this staycation yearly. Kids love the slides & breakfast so much. |I’m holding SPM many years. Many thanks to Ms Zed for the smooth arrangement on the room, massage and pool cabana which makes our stay relax 😊
