We spent the day at Hard Truth Distilling Co. and it was such an incredible experience! The tour of the facility was fascinating — it’s so cool to learn about how they make their bourbon and whiskey from start to finish. We got to taste several varieties, and every one of them was smooth and delicious. 🥃 The real highlight of the day was the ATV tour with Skylar and Jim — they were awesome guides! We stopped at several beautiful spots, sampled drinks along the way, and had an absolute blast. We wrapped up the day with a group dinner, and the food, atmosphere, and service were all top-notch. The entire facility is gorgeous, and the people are genuinely friendly and passionate about what they do. If you ever get the chance to go — do it! It’s 100% worth it.

Google
Hard Truth Distilling is great. The grounds are amazing during the fall season and their bourbon is great as well. We did the Get Lost Tour on Friday 10/17 at noon and Joe was our tour guide. He was great. Fun stories, perfect cocktails, and an experience that was perfect. The only complaint is that sometimes it was hard to hear Joe while riding in the ATV, but it was not enough to take anything away. The restaurant was good as well. Nothing bad to say about this distillery! Great job.

Google
Love the grounds! I didn't do a tasting or a tour or anything. I honestly dodnt even know thinly hard them!! There are some rough rough trails to walk and enjoy the grounds. You can buy drinks to carry around and enjoy the views. There is a nice amphitheater and stage to enjoy live music. You can order quick bites in the beer garden. I tried a cocktail and it was ok.

Google
Absolutely loved this place. The atmosphere was amazing. The restaurant top notch. Definitely recommend to reserve a table day or two ahead of time. The drinks are amazing. Outside had plenty of seating to watch the live bands. Highly recommend this place for a date night, social event or just stop in for a few drinks!

Google
Great place, beautiful views, friendly staff. Great music. Delicious drinks, decent food. We had the perfect day to sit outside and enjoy the afternoon. Stopped by the gift shop and also took home a few bottles. We can't wait to go back so we can take a few different tours and classes. We would highly recommend that you make a stop here when you come into town.

We ate a light dinner at the Hard Truth restaurant before going down to enjoy the live music. The maple bourbon wings were crispy and tender! The salads were also good, especially the wedge salad with blue cheese crumbles and bacon!

Google
So much more than a menu and shopping experience... This is more than a visit. It is a destination. Known the brand since their their creation and thrilled to watch them grow! They have several opportunities to learn about the compound, their company history, and even the local history with distilled spirits. *Pro Tip - They have a Moonshiners Experience that (currently) can't be done anywhere else in Indiana!* The ATV Tour allows you to see some beautiful places around the 320 acre property. The food from the restaurant is top notch. The live entertainment available on the terrace is enjoyable with a different menu to enjoy outside. The staff is like family with a bunch of experience and always friendly.

Google
Our first time visiting Hard Truth and it’s quite an impressive place. You can tour the distillery, get some yummy food and drink, and even listen to live music. We did everything except the tour, and had a great time. Will definitely be back!

Yelp
My wife and I returned to Hard Truth for another pre-show dinner in Brown County/Nashville. The Nashville Music Center is the best venue for live music in the area, and Hard Truth is a perfect pre-show option. My last trip was the fish and chips, this time I was in an 'eat healthier' mood, and I was able to pull that off with plenty of flavor. Then after wife was full, I ate half her meal with made it a bit less healthy but still terrific. My wife had the Meatloaf with mashed potatoes and green beans. Huge portion, and it had great flavor. The sides were fine, probably not what I would have selected but were still good. My choice for the night was the lemon chicken, which for me was a leap of faith as I'm hit-or-miss on liking sauces. I loved it. Nice portion size, a healthy chicken breast and the sauce was light and very flavorful. The sides were rice and asparagus, not my usual choices but again looking for healthy so they were a good selection. All in all another great meal with good service and the location and ambiance in Nashville are terrific. Be advised, if you're going prior to a show, reservations are a must unless you get there quite early.

Yelp
This place is truly amazing. One of a kind distillery, restaurant, and venue. It is HUGE. Not only the restaurant, but the outside seating and the land. And it is breathtaking. We had a reservation for 4, and were seated a few minutes after our reservation time. Our waiter definitely seemed frazzled: we had to ask for things multiple times and remind him of our drinks, food, and dessert. The food itself was okay - the fries were wayyyyy too fried, not enough potato, but I enjoyed my sandwich, and the others in my group liked their meals. $10 chili was a disappointment - it was so small and WAY to spicy for me to really enjoy. Drinks were good and dessert was great! We sat outside and enjoyed the live music for a bit. Beautiful area. **the next day we did an ATV tour around the grounds with 4 tastings included. This was so much fun!!!! Our tour guide Kathy was extremely friendly and knowledgeable of hard truth, bourbon, and the grounds. Definitely recommend for a fun lil adventure**

Yelp
Hard Truth offers stunning, private views of Brown County and an incredible array of drinks and food. This is my tried and true spot for the area due to the combination of good drink and hilltop charm. Wife and I come here quite often for food and drinks. Considering the limited selection of restaurants in the area, this place has it all. The restaurant is quite large, yet well-staffed and quick, making for a pleasant experience even in the midst of a rush. If I were rating them solely on the food, I may dip into the 3-star range; it can be hit or miss depending on what you order, but they sure can nail a good burger and fries. Being a big whiskey-fan, I am remarkably biased of Hard Truth due to their selection. But alongside decent food, great atmosphere and the occasional live performances, this is a place I would highly recommend checking out if you ever find yourself in Brown County.

Yelp
We were a party of eight. We started off with the pineapple drink. Yum. 10 out of 10. Everyone was happy with their order. I had the meat loaf & mashed potatoes plus a side of brussel sprouts. The surroundings were beautiful. Best of all was our waitress Shay! We met both owners and had our picture taken with one of them!

Yelp
My late friend Ken N. wrote a great review of Hard Truth Distilling, which still holds up more than seven years later. So if you want to know minute details, read his review. He's still beating me at reviews, even from the grave! Hard Truth Distilling is like a campus. Sure, it's a restaurant, but it's a also a real distillery, and you can take a tour of it. You can also take a tour of the grounds on an ATV and check out the space, which is a venue for music and events. You can also take a tiki cruise or take a mixology class. I suppose you could spend the whole day here! Actually, you could literally spend the day and night here, because Hard Truth also has cabins, located in the woods on their campus. I didn't do any of those fun things that I mentioned -- I only ate at the restaurant for lunch and dinner. I got the maple bourbon chicken sandwich for lunch, which came on a brioche bun. It was good! But what made it even better was eating it while drinking a Hard Truth Old Fashioned. It was a bit on the sweet side, which I really like. I don't know if it's from the type of bourbon (sweet mash), or if they add something to the Old Fashioned, but either way: that shiz hit. For dinner, I didn't want another burger or sandwich, so I got the bourbon glazed salmon, which was served over jasmine rice and came with roasted asparagus. The salmon was cooked perfectly! The whole dish was comforting -- like something I would make at home, but even better. I ate my salmon with a cold glass of Pinot Grigio. They don't have a huge wine list (in fact, it's minuscule). But if you want a glass of wine, you can get one here. I don't usually get dessert after a meal, but I thought: What the heck? When in Nashville, right? So I ordered the bourbon peach cobbler with a scoop of ice cream on it. It was baked in a cute little cast-iron skillet. It was OK, but it was super sweet! It needed something else to balance the sweetness. You can drink bourbon at Hard Truth, and also eat lots of different things with bourbon in it. This is definitely the place for bourbon lovers. And if you want to take some bourbon home with you, there is a gift shop in the restaurant with all kinds varieties of Hard Truth alcohol.

Yelp
I walked into the Hard Truth distillery, kind of knowing what I was gonna get when I got there. Beautiful facility. Everything's pristine. I sat at the bar, and I had an appetizer and a salad. The was food was good. The appetizer which was a bread that came out like a candle with butter and spices and honey was really good. And I would have it again and I would recommend it. There were just a little touches that could've made this a five star experience. I had to ask for my own silverware, I had to ask for salt & pepper, I had to ask for a refills on my soda, like I said, just a little touches that could've made it a better experience. The place was you had a decent crowd for a December Sunday night and I can imagine how beautiful the place is during the spring, summer and fall months with the leaves falling. I would definitely recommend it as a date night or as a family gathering.

Yelp
Went around 1 on a Saturday, it was busy. Tip: Didn't know you could make a reservation via Toast before going, highly recommend doing! Since we didn't make a reservation prior, we put our name in and they text when our table was ready (indoor and outdoor options available). Once we got notified, we went up to tell them however were advised to get back into the long line with those who hadn't listed their name to get our table. Seemed counterintuitive. Ordered their pumpkin beer (Put a fork in it) which they rim the glass with I believe pumpkin spice which made every drink even more delicious. Bbq pork grilled cheese was super flavorful! Subbed fries for flash fried brussel sprouts ($4 upcharge). Everything was super yummy and the right amount of food. Service was decent overall- our server was new, she did a good job considering how busy it was. Clean and very nice establishment, parking was easy. Definitely would come back.

Yelp
We went to the tasting building first and got drinks. They were very good and the place was clean and spacious. For how packed it could have been, the bar area was pretty small. We did enjoy our time here! We then went to the restaurant and got lunch, the food was GREAT. We got fish and chips and a burger. The restaurant was huge and had so many tables. Th service was great and we loved our time here. Will definitely bring visitors back!!
google avatar

Yelp
Such a cute venue with a cozy, rustic vibe. The salmon was excellent, moist and well seasoned. The brussel sprouts, however, were a bit too spicy and undercooked for my taste. Service was friendly and the atmosphere made it a nice spot to relax and enjoy the day.

Yelp
We stopped in for dinner. The place is absolutely gorgeous. The woods and outdoor patio area with stage for live music was fabulous. We chose to eat on the upper deck and we had a great exposure to the live music too. The restaurant was very busy, but we know why. The staff is so warm and friendly and you gotta love a place where everyone pitches in for service and support. It's clear the team really enjoys working here and with each other! The deck gets sunny and hot later in the afternoon so make sure to try and sit strategically where one of the wall fans can keep you cool! We didn't know this and it got toasty for us after a while. We started with a couple of specialty cocktails with a berry spin and the Brussel sprouts starter. These might be some of the very best sprouts we've ever had. It's a real art to get the center of sprouts to be tender and flavorful. These were amazing and the sriracha glaze is so full of Smokey flavor and a perfect kick at the end. Super great. Teresa got the wedge salad and I was going to get the fish and chips, but their fish fryer was down, so I went with my back up, the meat loaf. Teresa really enjoyed the wedge, it was fresh and very nicely appointed with cheese crumbles too! The meatloaf was less successful. I have to say the mashed potatoes were really flavorful and the green beans were perfectly prepared too. The saucy drizzle on the meat loaf didn't taste good to me and it took away from the dish, sadly. I noticed they had a bacon onion jam that they put on their burgers and do I repeatedly ask for a small serving as I knew it would change the meatloaf for the better. After waiting quite a while for the jam what I got was more of the sauce I had worked to get off the meatloaf! Made me sad, I'm a big meat loaf fan, but I left most of the portion uneaten. Really a shame too. Alex was our server and he worked very hard but both the bar and the kitchen were incredibly slow. And it took quite a while to get a second round of cocktails too. I ordered a slice of blueberry cheesecake to go, but when we got back to our BnB, it hadn't come with any utensils so I had to go hunting for a spoon or something in the kitchen downstairs. It's not a big deal really, but it's worth a mention for the future. Easy to drop a spoon or fork into the box. All in all, we had a great experience thanks to the staff's enthusiasm and pitching in, the cocktails, and the super delish sprouts and wedge salad. Thanks to Alex for really working hard for us! We'll likely be back at some point just to try again! Nashville, Indiana is a beautiful area and if you have a chance to get here check out the area and Hard Truth!

Yelp
We stopped by for lunch on a Tuesday in October. Wasn't terribly busy although we did make a reservation. Dining room itself is vast and dark. We sat outside on the balcony with a beautiful views and gorgeous weather. Service was friendly and attentive. Ordered a whiskey burger and although the menu says they cook to medium as default and medium is what I ordered, that burger was cooked well past done. It was gray and dry. But the toppings were delicious. Truffle fries worth the upgrade. The chili was a tad spicy for our taste. The maple bourbon wings were delicious although it was disappointing to not get a single drum. It was all flats. Despite the menu saying it would be a mix. Also, menu states one pound of wings. It was maybe one pound with the plate. Both cocktails ordered were fabulous. In all, about what you'd expect from a large operation that relies on tourist traffic and therefore doesn't need to maintain standards for returning guests.

Yelp
A must visit spot to experience woodsy southern Indiana. And if you're a bourbon fan don't miss the distillery tour!

Yelp
Stopped here for a late lunch after walking around Nashville. The venue was huge with some good pictures to be take outside. Service was pleasant and prompt. The place seemed clean and orderly. We started out with pulled pork nachos and hickory brown sugar wings that were all delicious. I would go back for the chicken wings. For my meal I had the smash burger that was delicious that came with French fries. I tried the old fashioned which was so delicious and smooth. I will be coming back here.

Yelp
Had a great dinner with friends at Hard Truth Distilling! There was a long wait, but that was completely expected on a holiday weekend. We just went downstairs to the bar, grabbed a Bloody Mary, and listened to live music while waiting for a table. The food is always good, and it's always a fun time too. I love the truffle fries there!

Yelp
I was only able to come for a brief weekday lunch in the middle of winter, but from what I was able to see, this place would be amazing in the spring. There is a huge balcony and outdoor seating area (where the concerts are). The food is very good. The menu is completely different from Big Woods, if you are familiar with their chain of restaurants around the state.
google avatar

Yelp
Great little hidden gem in Nashville, Indiana. Up and coming sour mash bourbons with a 300 acre wooden backdrop you'll have a nice afternoon.
google avatar

Gregg H.

Yelp
Fantastic place! This is a highly recommended, must visit stop if you're planning a trip anywhere near them! Excellent craft cocktails! Superb service and a beautiful venue. Live music on the outdoor stage was an added bonus!

Yelp
Shari our tour guide was very knowledgable about the disterally and RV life. Loved her spunky personality. I liked the award winning whiskey. But, also learned I am not a fan of Rye. Restraunt wait was 30 minutes. Good burger and fries with a decent Old Fashioned. Part of the area was closed off for a wedding.

Yelp
We came here for my birthday weekend. They have amazing whiskeys but Dave made our inside the barrel tour special. His background as an engineer spoke to my whiskey nerdery. I've been a guide at 2 different distilleries and an ambassador for others and he talked about things you didn't normally hear on a tour. Pair that with thieving from 2 different barrels and it made for a fantastic day. Well done Hard Truth and very well done Dave!

Yelp
I've been to Hard Truth twice since posting the original set of photos. My second visit was to take the ATV tasting tour through the woods. On both occasions, I found the food to be average to above-average. My smash burger was very good - no complaints. The tour guides during the ATV excursion were outstanding, and the servers in the restaurant have all been very good as well. The overall site is huge and expansive, and they've really established themselves as a local distillery that offers a wide range of experiences. It's also very close to the Indiana University campus in Bloomington, I'm sure we'll be back many more times.

Yelp
We experienced the ATV distillery tour. So much fun! The day was beautiful, we loaded up in the ATV. Plenty of room for up to 5 guests. Made multiple stops in the wooded area behind the welcome center. Learned about each different spirit at each stop. ATV is def off roading up and down the trails, so hold on. Just a small amount of walking. I enjoyed a stop at the swings! History galore from Rick. Def recommend!

Yelp
We did the "Get Lost" ATV tour as part of our anniversary trip to Nashville, and it was such a fun experience! While the price was a bit steep at $70 per person for a 60-90 minute tour, it was worth it. Lucky for us, no one else booked our time slot, so it turned into a private tour. Our guide, Kelsey, was fantastic--knowledgeable, friendly, and just all-around great time. By the end, we were following each other on Instagram! The grounds are stunning, especially in the fall when the scenery is at its peak. During the tour, we got to sample a variety of drinks: a shot of moonshine, a shot of whiskey, half a Quaff On beer, a gin cocktail, and their take on Fireball. Definitely felt like we got our money's worth! Afterward, we headed to the Hard Truth restaurant to enjoy a meal and sober up before driving home. Overall, highly recommend this experience! Kelsey mentioned they also offer other tours throughout the year, including a boat tour--sounds like a perfect excuse to come back next summer!

Yelp
Although I know Hard Truth is loved by many, the service for my first time here was a huge let down. We had a 5:15 reservation for 6 which we were told was not ready when arrived on time. We waited for about 10-15 minutes before checking back in to be told a table was being cleaned for us and they'd seat us in a minute or two. Shortly after, we received a message they had changed our reservation to 5:45. We still had to wait and didn't get seated until about 6. Our server was kind and attentive - which was the highlight of our experience. She did politely inform us that the kitchen was taking over an hour to get any food out, which felt like a failure on management rather than the staff there. When our food finally did arrive, it was good but not great! Our table ordered the Smash Burger, Whiskey Burger, Pulled Pork Grilled Cheese, and the Nachos. Aside from the food & service, our meal was frequently disrupted by a massive photo booth they have pointing towards the dining area. A bright flash continuously went off in the eyes of half of our table throughout the whole meal. Given our experience, I think the real Hard Truth is that I wouldn't return or recommend this to a friend.

Yelp
We went for dinner and sat outside. The service was really nice. I had the signature burger and my wife got the tenderloin. The burger was excellent but the tenderloin was a disappointment. The toasted bun was rock hard and the tenderloin was lacking by Indiana diner standards. I also ordered the whiskey sling and it was delicious. Wish I could find the recipe. Left with a bottle of sweet mash. Would like to return but skip the tenderloin.

Yelp
So we were at a venue the night before and having small talk nice ladies in front of me as we waited to order food and they asked what I was ordering f and I stated, the pulled pork nachos and they both immediately started laughing and asked, "have you been to hard truth and had their pulled pork nachos!?" They are so good! So here we are, the very next day. The parking lot on a Saturday afternoon is paaacked!! People getting all sorts of crazy trying to find a spot. They were having some sort of party(Hawaiian Luau theme) with a full pig roast happening somewhere. The restaurant is very nice. Big, open, lots of seating both inside and out. We walk up to the hostess table and they state we'd have to wait a bit for inside but we can seat you outside on the patio where it's shaded and fans blowing. I was reluctant as it's like a gazillion degrees outside without the 99000% humidity. So we get seated at a table for two in direct sunlight and a fan that blows on us maybe 5-10 seconds for every minute? I am cooking. We see the tables for four in the shade and with only two people there. We are never asked if we wanted to move as I am melting. Too embarrassed to simply ask if we could move like three other couples. We order the pork nachos and a flight of the og whiskeys. The food arrives with 5-10minutes but by then I am too warm to even think about eating. I'm on my third glass of water. It's not that our server didn't do her job and was mean or anything but I was really hoping for a lifeline without having to ask. Is this me asking too much. The nachos were indeed good. The drinks were tasty albeit a bit too harsh straight for my likings. Did we go to the distillery or anything f after paying our bill? Nope, I was ready to leave the zoo this place is on a very busy Saturday. Will we go back? Probably not as I enjoy the smaller mom and pop eateries.

Yelp
We did the distillery tour ($27 with tax) and then got lunch at Big Woods restaurant on-site. The tour guides seemed unorganized behind the register and not super helpful/welcoming. When I asked what all we should check out, they just suggested other tours vs things to do on the 300 acre property. The distillery tour was very short and basically just showed us some giant bins where they make the product while talking about the history of the company. Then, we got three very small samples of bourbon/whiskey. It wasn't worth the price and I felt unfulfilled after. There was a guy who was super outgoing, happy and helpful who drove a golf cart down to a new area, Lazy Lagoon. It had a small bar, swings and sand. It was lovely, shaded and brand new this year. The food is pricey- prepare to spend $17-25 per entree. I got the bourbon glaze burger and it was delicious with a large patty, and the rest of my group seemed to enjoy their food as well.

Yelp
Four of us did the ATV and distillery tour after an awesome lunch. HTD is an amazing company and is class from top to bottom. Kyle M was our tour guide and made it such a special experience. The guy is awesome and very knowledgeable. The distillery tour was also amazing. Gerry Lynch was so gracious and full of knowledge about the distillery. Another class act! Thank you everyone for making our getaway weekend so memorable. We will be back soon!

Yelp
Chili was fastastic and the peach cobbler was right up there too! Great outdoor ambiance! Tyler was a nice server and very attentive in servicing our table. We will be back!

Yelp
I was here with a group. The tour was the distillery tour and tasting. They take you from the grain, to the 140 proof white lightening, to the final product. I am not a drinker, but their main whiskey was pretty good...sort of sweet. I the restaurant area, they offer a decent menu. Our server, Hannah, was very friendly and knowledgeable of some of the specialty drink options. I had the Spicy Bacon Burger. Juicy, spicy and really tasty. The venue also has abundant outdoor seating...being 30 degrees, we passed on that option. They also have an amphitheater for warmer weather music. This will likely be a warm weather return visit. An added bonus, it is 2 minutes from downtown Nashville, Indiana and all the shops. It all made for a very nice trip. For all you Bourbon folks, this is a must see.

Yelp
We were so excited to return 2 years later. Unfortunately, this visit was very different from our previous visit. We went on a Thursday to avoid a heavy traffic day. We tried to visit the tasting room, however, there was only one employee behind the bar. We were not greeted or even acknowledged after standing around waiting for service. We decided to just head to the restaurant (12:30) We were told outside seating was a 35 minute wait, so chose to sit indoors. Service was very slow and took a long time to place a drink and appetizer order (the indoor dining was not full and no wait to be seated). We ordered a beer and a Bloody Mary (the bloody Mary's were the best we had ever had 2 years ago with a dill salted rim). We asked the waitress for a dill rin and she said yes, we still have that. It took a long time before the drinks and pretzel were brought out. We decided to duplicate our order from 2 years ago, because it was so good last time. We had a bourbon bacon burger, cooked medium rare with fries on the side and the truffle upgrade for $4. The Bloody Mary came out looking very different and had a black salted rim, no dill. The garnish was an under cooked piece of bacon, lime and jalapeño. Taste was very good, but severely lacked the presentation 2 yrs ago. Peanut butter porter was very good. Then the food came out.... The bun was so hard and stale, it actually cut the roof of my mouth. The burger was like a hockey puck and was just nothing like you would expect for an $18.00 burger. The fries were very greasy and just nothing special at all. I do not understand how things can change so drastically in a two year period. They are definitely more focused on producing and selling bottles, than keeping this experience something to return for. We were so turned off, we left rather than looking around and enjoying the day there. Total waste of 3 hour round trip and $88 with tip. All pictures are last visit/this visit.,,it's pretty obvious though.

Yelp
Atmosphere and scenery 5. Food quality for price 1. Had better fast food chicken sandwich. Fries overcooked

Yelp
Wings were amazing and truffle fries perfect. Good service and ambience. Looking forward to our next visit

Yelp
Every time we come here it is so busy so we just go sit at the bar since there is no wait for it and always have quality service. I asked the server if they had fall inspired cocktails and they did but you had to get at the downstairs bar but could still bring back to your seat. The fall cocktails are so good I def recommend. The pulled pork nachos are always our go to and soooo amazing. They had the place decorated for fall like a pumpkin patch and a live band! Such an amazing atmosphere

Yelp
We did the "Easter Egg Hunt" today and had such a nice time. We did a couple of years ago outside in the woods but they brought indoors (thankfully) due to the rain. We had fun searching for beer, little booze shooters, candy eggs and prize eggs that could win you merch. Everyone on staff was really nice and the cocktails we got were all delicious. We hit the restaurant for lunch afterwards and it was great!

Yelp
I'm surprised to find that this place has a 3.8 stars on yelp. My husband and I went there for dinner and had such a pleasant experience. I ordered the salmon and he had the porch chops. Both were delicious. I especially loved the Brussel Sprouts. I loved the atmosphere and the service was great! I highly recommend if you're in the area.

Yelp
Will provide some hard truths for this place - The venue is incredible and some of the food was outstanding (the maple bourbon sauce that was on the wings/chicken sandwich was UNREAL, so good). But, one of our wings was literally just a fried bone, to which our inattentive waiter said "dang that's crazy", the burger came well when we asked for medium rare, I got a side of asparagus instead of fries and it was 4 pieces of asparagus (well cooked but I mean for real 4 pieces of asparagus? A bundle at the store is like $2). Would've loved to buy some of that sauce on the way out but only merch and liquor. I think this place could be great and would love to come back if things were a little better

Yelp
Wow! Amazing food cooked to order, Brussel sprouts are cooked to perfection, then some maple bourbon wings and BBQ sandwiches. Bleu cheese dressing may be the best ever. Super service, if you can sit outside and overlook the venue that hold concerts and fun. Loved the upgrades and enjoy the spirits. A must visit destination.

Yelp
Slap me silly...we had such a good time doing the ATV tour and dining at their on site restaurant. Shout out to Michael for being our hero and getting us on the ATV tour after a mix up error we made in setting up our reservations. After learning Michael was a fairly new employee, we were dumbfounded because he was so knowledgeable; attentive; and personable. Thank you so much again, Michael. The tour was so fun! Riding up and down through the hills on the property to the stops where we tasted quite a few samples of the distillery's offerings paired with some unique commentary at each stop, incredible! After the tour, we ventured over to the on-site restaurant for a great selection of sandwiches, etc. some of the best sweet tea in Indiana, I might add.

Yelp
This is a lovely restaurant and distillery in Nashville Indiana. Our party of 3 had to wait ten minutes for a table but it went fast as we browsed through the gift shop. I ordered the Lemon Chicken with fresh green beans and asparagus. The presentation was delightful and the dish was delicious. The vegetables were fresh and tender crisp. I enjoyed my meal and our waitress was attentive. I would love to go back someday!

Yelp
Ok food is terrible and overpriced! First we got the Brussels sprouts. They are served in a cast iron pan to make you think there was some culinary technique used like roasting them, no, they are steamed, drenched in pre-made packaged sauce, and sprinkled with a small amount of pre shredded packaged Parmesan!! They were expensive too for this slop! They could be roasted with a nice sauce drizzled and fresh parm shaved and melted. Those are amazing and cost Pennie's more in time and quality but well worth it. You can tell this is a blah restaurant if something like this dish passes on the menu! We also got the miso salmon dish, ordered medium rare, it came ROCK HARD, chewy and overcooked. The vegetables were the handful of the bottom of the bag of old pre shredded store bought slaw mix. Old, dried, very white edges and some were dark and soggy/rotten. The sauce is very sweet, does not taste like miso, tastes purchased and processed. This dish was $27! I think it's the most expensive thing on the menu! Maybe this is the caliber of seafood people think is good because of location, but coming from a seafood place and cooking it my entire life, this was terrible. And terrible to charge so much for cheap everything with no culinary skill. Third was a bacon burger. It was so so, couldn't go wrong really but nothing exciting or stand out ish. Of all the burgers we've gotten, this is probably the most boring. Service was phenomenal. All the staff who we interacted with were amazing!

Yelp
Great experience! Server was fun and mostly attentive- did need someone else to run the meal. We all enjoyed the food we ordered, except the fish- the pieces were a little small and overcooked. The place is fun and not too noisy. Gift shop has some nice shirts and bottles to take home.

Yelp
This place is amazing. The pork chops were some of the best we have tasted. Grilled perfectly and still very moist. Service started off a bit rough but improved quickly. I had asked what size the burger was and the waitress told me that I was the second person that week to ask her that question and she didn't know. Anyway their drinks are also great. I had a coconut pina colada that was delicious. The restaurant is huge and has a lot of character. It does have an outdoor patio that has a wonderful view of the forest and their concert area. It also has some trails you can walk around and a tasting room. Their cinnamon vodka is a must if you like cinnamon. Their cream liquors are also delicious. Definitely worth a visit.

Yelp
I'm happy we finally made it down here... the space is stellar and so much larger than I expected! I ended up getting some pork nachos with a beer flight and the wife got a pulled pork grilled cheese type thing.. the weather was perfect so we opted to sit out on the patio and overlook the outdoor area/amphitheater. they had some music in the background and just a great overall space. My nachos were decent sized for the price and had a reasonable amount of pork and toppings. the pulled pork grilled cheese was similar but the fries were a bit mushy/old. It was more than enough food tho, so not a big deal. I enjoyed the flight of beers as i love to sample a few different beers instead of committing to one big beer. our server was super friendly and all over every aspect of things. its bee season, so they were a bit annoying, but she brought us a couple extra coasters to cover up sweet items that may attract them.. in our haste to leave and pick up the kids I forgot my credit card. the server snagged me as we were walking out and returned it. It pays to tip well for great service! thank you!!

Yelp
First timer at hard truth and had the full experience! We started at the restaurant, and were lucky enough to sit outside. The covered balcony is absolutely gorgeous and perfect to avoid being in direct sunlight. You get to look out on all the trees and a stage - beautiful! The drinks were great. I absolutely recommend the lemonade with coconut rum, it was refreshing and delicious. The food was also great! Their bacon is amazing!! The only downside was our service. We had a hard time finding our server to order anything and the timing wasn't great - we ordered a second round of drinks at the start of our meal and didn't receive them until we had finished eating (about 20 minutes). We'll definitely be back to see if it was just an off day service wise.

Yelp
Review based on cocktails only. This is quite the impressive grounds, even more than what we were expecting. Multiple buildings for tasting rooms, restaurant, tours, etc. The outdoor space is unreal with TONS of seating and a beautiful amphitheater. We enjoyed a tasting, then ordered drinks at the main restaurant bar then sat outside and enjoyed the views. The gin and soda was delicious and my husband loved his lemon cello vodka cocktail. Staff was extremely friendly. I'd highly recommend stopping here if your visiting!

Yelp
We have visited Hard Truth multiple times over the last few years. Sadly, it is the same very bad food with the same very expensive prices. While, we enjoy the gift shop and the live music (usually), the food is always cold, takes forever, and the portions are skimpy. I ordered the brisket nachos and was very excited. My husband ordered the double pulled pork with Mac and cheese. We waited 48 minutes for our food. My nachos had very little toppings on them and they were ice cold. The brisket was hard and only four pieces for the entire order of nachos. My husband gave me some of his pork to add to my nachos. He was disappointed as well as his pork was cold and very dry. We will not be back. Many other places to dine at in Nashville where our food will be hot, with generous portions, tasty, and timely. Strike four and we are done.

Yelp
We stopped in while visiting my father in law in Nashville. It was fairly busy, but we were able to get a nice table outside on the balcony. Our service was spectacular! She went out of her way to make sure everything was perfect! The food was delicious and the drinks were just strong enough!

Yelp
Had an amazing weekend at Hard Truth Distillery. People there were extremely friendly and definitely enjoyed coming to work. The atmosphere was amazing and the facilities were beautiful. Decent food but above average on their whiskies. Went home with 3 different bottles. Highly suggest spending a day there and exploring the 325 acres of "Adult Disney!" Cheers!

Yelp
Our group of 4 showed up on Saturday and realized we made the reservation for the wrong day. The staff was extremely accommodating and made sure to find us a tour to join. We really appreciated this, as it was completely our fault (actually mine). The tour was fun and informative. Joe did a great job leading our group. Afterwards we had lunch at the restaurant and found the same experience. Friendly staff and good food. It is a little expensive in my opinion l, but unfortunately everything is these days. We will be back and try a different tour or possibly take one of the mixology classes.
