Hard Wok Cafe

Really enjoyed my visit to Hard Wok Café! The fish and chips were delicious, perfectly crispy and fresh. The soup starter was generous and very tasty. Service was friendly and warm, which made the whole experience even better. Thank you for a lovely meal!

Amazing food, super nice Patricia who helped us to pick the best options. I had the traditional fish and chips, my wife one chicken wok and my son a cheese burger. Everything was fantastic!

Very popular place serving a wide variety of food. Almost every table was ordering fish and chips and many showed up for pizzas to go on a Friday evening. The place was lively, the service was courteous, and the place is well decorated. We had two wok dishes and fish salad. The fish was pan fried and fresh, but we couldn’t tell the satay or hoisin sauce flavors in our wok dishes. The rice that came with them were a little dried up, too.

Came here as an evening dinner spot for a road trip from Akureyri. Sadly the soup and ice cream was unavailable (23/02/25, 6pm) but instead I had the fish with cream cheese, which was crisp, fresh and full of flavour, and it came with perfectly cooked rice. We shared truffle fries too which were delicious. Non-Alcoholic beer is available for those who are driving but still want that taste. The workers looked young but were extremelly respectful and polite, and were quick with making our orders. There was no music when we there, it was silent but the ambience felt so peaceful and relaxing especially after I had done 5 or 6 hours of driving by that point it. Other than the couple of items not on the menu, everything was perfect!

Amazing place! It had very nice menu and good prices for quite large portitions, also some came with complimentary soup and ice-cream. 🥰 Great deals! And the fish and chips dish was incredible, the best in North Iceland so far. Area and surroundings were very nice, too. Definitely worth a visit :)

Its a small hole on the wall restaurant. Food is delicious, flavorful, we ate the buffet, the soup is the best out of all the places we visited in Iceland. Located in a very small quaint town following the road through the Fjords. The service is personalize . Highly recommend for people who had a chaance to pass by the town to stop and try the food

Great little place and busy too. You don’t have many other options to eat in the town but we were surprised how much we liked it. I had the fish and chips and my partner had a burger. We both liked it. The staff are lovely as well

Our lunch stop over and we had fish and chips. Realised it was more towards asian food. Free flow of soup and very good service. Pretty decent meal that was no expensive.
