A fantastic one night stay in one of the river view rooms with our 18month old toddler. We had requested a cot and it was all ready for in our room when we checked in. The children’s play area was absolutely wonderful and such a help after a long travel day. The room was comfortable with plenty of space. The setting of the guesthouse is beautiful. The breakfast was okay, not the most choice but it was sufficient for what we needed. Overall, we were sad not to spend more time here.

I had an absolutely wonderful stay here! The location is stunning – just a short walk from the fjord, and I could even enjoy the breathtaking view of it right from my room. Breakfast was excellent, with the highlight being the delicious pancakes served with blueberry jam – a perfect start to the day. The staff at the reception were incredibly kind and welcoming, always ready with a smile and helpful advice. Overall, it was an unforgettable experience, and I would love to come back again!

We booked a night in August in this family friendly guesthouse and we were not disappointed. When you keep in mind this is a guesthouse, with basic rooms and basic services, it is actually a very good place for a stop. We asked if we could have dinner and we enjoyed the vegetarian pizza and reindeer stew with potatoes. We will not remember the dishes, but we will remember the relaxed atmosphere, our “river side” room over a bubbling stream that was magical in its simplicity, and the friendly atmosphere all around us while there. I remind you that this is a basic resting place - not even a b in the room. Nevertheless I will go there again in a heartbeat

Spacious and comfortable room, with a lovely balcony looking over the river (they also offer more expensive fjord view rooms). Friendly staff, who were happy for me to store my bags arriving on the boat from Bergen at noon. Great base for exploring the local area- the hike to Jobysket was a trip highlight, with a stunning view down the Osafjord from the top. Breakfast fine, but not so many vegetarian options (there was even meat in the eggs).

I was relocated to this hotel when the one I was supposed be staying at cancelled my reservation. It's pleasant, simple, fairly basic, more like a hostel with private rooms. Nice reception staff, helpful and accommodating. Decent breakfast.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time here. It’s a typical Norwegian camping spot with motel-style rooms, cabins, and a campground. Located at the very end of Hardanger Fjord it’s still accessible by public transportation. An ideal starting point for fun hikes to the Kvasshovden and Kristanuten or a trip to Eidfjord and farther up to the spectacular Vøringsfossen waterfall. Breakfast is good and the staff very friendly and welcoming. Great value for money.

We stayed one night in Hardanger Guesthouse during our trip to Norway. Ulvik village is small but very beautiful. We're lucky to get an upgrade to our room. It had a creek right behind the back terrace. The service was excellent, and breakfast was good as well. Highly recommended. Remember to swim in the sea near the camping area next Hardanger Guesthouse.

Rooms are small with limited amenities but the location overlooks the fjord and that view is pretty refreshing. The staff at the reception didn't look to be in the mood to help and instead was simply providing terse answers. ||They couldn't even tell us about taxi! We found out later that Ulvik essentially had only one taxi service. They should keep this information.||Breakfast was good but doesn't start before 8 am.
