Hardangerfjord Hotel

The hotel is well located in the center of the city yet in front of the fjord. It has plenty of parking and simple comfortable rooms. We enjoyed the breakfast buffet and they accommodated my dietary needs being pregnant.

After a rather exhausting day of charity work for a Humanitarian Aid group (loading goods for transport to Ukraine) it was very VERY welcome to arrive at this hotel.||||Staff at check-in was friendly and accommodating. Also - very positively - parking for our oversize vehicle was easy accessible and spacious. ||||Standard rooms were big and openly furnished. They seemed clean and neat. Beds were comfortable and the room had a small balcony.||||During the evening the bar-staff were friendly and talkative, very accommodating also to requests they did not expect.||||The breakfast was stunning. Plenty of nice food presented in a beautiful manner. Bread was tasty and fresh and condiments plentiful. ||||All in all a good and heartwarming experience, although not the cheapest hotel I've ever stayed at. ;-) ||||Thanks. Will be back next time.

Friendly staff. Pool is not part of the hotel and opening times are a little awkward. Pool access only included in stay if booked through hotel website and not alternative booking website. Good breakfast which was included and nice view.

This is a bit delayed, as I’ve just finished a 3-month trip. But because my experiences here were superb, I wanted to follow-up with a review. ||The basics were certainly met, as the room was clean, comfortable, and quiet. And the TV, Wi-fi, and shower all functioned well. ||Beyond that, though, the staff was amazing. Efficient with the business aspects, pleasant personalities, and helpful with advice - making the whole experience just enjoyable. And as I departed after a good breakfast (with good, diverse offerings), I saw an employee meticulously setting other tables, ensuring that things were simply perfect. A small thing, perhaps, but there just seemed to be a focus on ensuring that everything done well here, and that was much appreciated. ||And, yes, the location on the fjord was also amazing!

We stayed in a superior family room. The room was a little impersonal and had lumpy pillows and heavy covers. Not much of a view. In the bathroom, there was only soap. Entrance to the pool was not included when booked by a different sight. Really shouldn't matter, you would think. Maybe our expectations were too high. Breakfast was great.

It is a wonderful treat during your trip - the location and the views are breathtaking and the breakfast is just a fiest. It is delicious and the staff is more than nice. The only downside is maybe that coming in August we should have paid for the pool and also the working time of the facility starts in 11, which is kind of strange if you want to make a proper swimming workout.

Well located. A good point to move around the fjords. Large greeb garden with beautiful views to the Fjords. |The hotel breaks the nice Nordic architecture with a huge concrete building and an ugly metal structure of a public pool next to it. The hotel is large and rather focused on large groups or for business use. The hotel room is rather small and the shower had mold in some areas. The room didn't look very clean. |I wouldn't recommend this place unless is for business

Excellent evening meal. 2-pers. room average space, but quite comfortable; shower: exc. Personell friendly, exc.service. Additional wish: a small nightlamp in toilet/showercabinet.
