"Just on the lower fringes of the northern suburbs, Scarborough sits around 14km northwest of Perth city. This beachside suburb is vibrant and attracts tourists and locals alike to it’s coastline, restaurants, cafes and bars. One of our favourite spots here is the Hardware Store Cafe. 60 years ago an actual hardware store stood here and the place pays homage with rusty tools and artwork hung in front of exposed red brick walls. Cutlery sits in tool boxes and the overall feel is rustic yet still contemporary. It always seems busy and it’s popularity is understandable given the excellent food, inviting interior and the friendly, laidback atmosphere." - Zebra

Actually really impressed at how much this place has improved from last time I was here a few yrs back. Had the brekkie burger to takeaway and it was epic. Hands down one of the best value brekkie burgers in the area and held together really well. Looking forward to going back and trying other things in the menu.

Food here never disappoints, always delicious and good portions. Good coffee and have never had to wait more than about 10 minutes. Music is a little loud outside but that could be to drown out the kids in the well set up toddler play area.

Shoutout to this excellent breakfast cafe. Not only the food is delicious, the portions are excellent value for money, but their knifes are sharp and you can actually use them. 10/10 I would recommend this place.

Great menu options, food was delicious. $12 breakfast wrap and coffee is great value for money. Fun outside play area for toddlers. Staff attentive and friendly. Very impressed.

We had such an amazing day today with their special Bluey day . My 21 month old had a ball . It was so well organised and the food was Devine as always . Staff were very officiant. And it was just wonderful .

Ordered 2x coffee for takeaway. Was told to expect a 10 minute wait. Sat and waited... 25 minutes passed and went up to ask and the employee only then started making them. Coffee was fine but wouldn't bother again due to the excessive wait time

Amazing!! 5⭐️I went in there thinking their new vegan menu was out and the lovely chef said it's still on it's way but he was happy to make a quick tofu scramble. THE best tofu scramble I've had 'til date! 🤤

After noticing Dome in Mindarie had a huge line on this particular Sunday morning, I decided to give Hardware Cafe in Quinns Rocks a go. There was still a line here (a little smaller), so this was a good sign. Although the decor and background music was a bit strange, the service and food was great. A HUGE range of gluten-free options and meals for breakfast, lunch or dinner. If you feel like a snack, you can grab coffee & cake for $8...seating available inside or out.

Never again I have been before months before, now am going to be living in the area My last experiences were unfortunate This time, a sausage cut into strips and burnt, two cold fried eggs, two slices of cold I toasted bread, tomatoes just a mash, pot of cold tea Cost $19 Thank goodness McDonald's is near The waitresses looked stressed

Out of 3 meals, they missed one of our meals (we had to remind them), one came out missing elements and one was supposed to minus mushrooms (it had mushrooms) and they failed all 3 meals. By the time the 3rd meal came, the other 2 were cold. Even their glassware was unclean. Won't be coming back again.

Staff here are amazing and friendly and the coffee is phenomenal. However the cakes were lacking, the lemon meringue was sub par, it was very watery and flavourless.
