Hardy Boys Records and Comics Camp North End

Such a cool record store & the nicest people. I was in the store last weekend and met Allison one of the employees, and she was so friendly. I had some questions about music cds so she provided the phone number to the owner, Dean. We had a few texts back and forth and I told my husband how impressed I am with how he handles his store business. When you’re in Camp North End, I highly recommend checking this place out. I've been to several Hardy Boys locations and, while all of them have something to offer, the Camp North End location is my favorite. Great location, tons of choice, and very reasonably priced. I used to frequent the Mint Hill location quite regularly, but found myself spending more time searching than finding. This is not necessarily a bad thing - it happened because I always found 5 or 6 items every time I came in, and my collection window narrowed. This specific location, however, was like finding a new vein in an existing goldmine. Fantastic record store, great owner, and very reasonable prices. Other record stores need to look at this place and learn something.

Small but well ordered record shop with a good variety of pre-loved and new vinyl. The CD selection was probably the best I’ve saw in any other shop. The prices were not competitive with other stores but were still average. Very happy with our purchases.

Upon inheriting a substantial vinyl and comic book collection that I was not able to maintain, I reached out to Dean Hardy for some assistance. He came by my home, sat and talked me through his process and provided a detailed valuation of my vinyl and comic book collection. He provided the option of cash vs credit (towards vinyl records) and handled my request to buy a number of albums (sourcing, procuring and shipping). The whole experience was excellent and seamless. Dean was very helpful, patient, knowledgeable and made a difficult decision (selling my father’s collection) easy to manage. I cannot express my gratitude enough.

Worked with Dean Hardy to clear out my late father in-law’s comic book collection. He was great to work with and very communicative through the whole process. He gave us a more than fair price for the collection and it was a very quick and seamless process. Definitely would recommend him and his shop!

Really cool location in Camp North End so you know it is always a good time! Wide selection of new and used Vinyl as well as CDs, and T-shirts. Very friendly and helpful staff. Prices are comparable if not better than online so why not support local! Grab a sticker or shirt to support them and spread the word of their awesomeness! Follow them on social media to learn about their events and concert giveaways. Really cool way to experience new music in our local establishments.

Charlotte has a lot of good record stores to choose from, but this is hands down my favorite. The best trade in deals, great selection (and can attest from personal experience that if they don’t have something you’re looking for, they can help you find it!), friendly staff, and the store itself is such a vibe, you could just hang out in there if you wanted.
