I traveled with a friend and we stayed one evening at Haris hostel. It was very welcoming upon arrival and Haris was a genuine lovely person. The staff was so much fun and also helpful with anything we needed. It was a relaxed atmosphere with an incredible view of the sunset! Hill is definitely worth the walk! They also have a cute little bunny friend called Tito! I loved staying here!

Haris' Hostel is the best hostel in Sarajevo. Haris goes above and beyone to make sure that you have a good stay. He is a total gem. The hostel is clean and has everything you need - a great balcony, a kitchen and good areas to chill out in. Haris started the hostel when he was 14 and knows everything there is to know about the city. His city tour is amazing - the abandoned bobsled track is so crazy, as is the underground tunnel leading to the free territory. Definitely stay here!!!

I spent three nights at Haris Youth Hostel and really enjoyed my stay. The facilities are clean and spacious, and the view of the city from the terrace/common room is worth the walk up the hill to get there!||Be sure to also take Haris's city tour - it is an excellent value. He will take you in his car to various places in the city center as well as some places (such as the tunnel and the bobsled track) that could otherwise be difficult to reach on your own. Haris is very knowledgeable, and you will learn a lot about the city and its recent history.

Why stay at this hostel? The owner, Haris, is very friendly and makes your stay pleasant from start to end. He was at service 24/7 the help you if needed. The rooms are cleaned every day and there are enough bathrooms (also clean). Towels are provided. It is very easy the meet nice people here. Haris organises once a week a bbq, the views from the terrace over the city are very nice! The price is very reasonable too. It is located a 5-7min uphill walk from the main square in old town, in a nice residential neighbourhood. |The only thing which can be better is that now there is no breakfast (which I do not expect for the very competitive price), however a small breakfast option would be nice. Hostel certainly recommended!

We've been visiting Sarajevo for a few times with a big group of students. ||Haris is the most excellent host and organisor. Haris hostel is a superb place to stay, with a great view from the balcony and comfortable rooms and friendly staff. Haris has a lot of good suggestions for visiting Sarajevo and around and he organises anything you wish. Greatly recommended for individual travellers and groups alike !

I would highly recommend this hostel. It is a bit of a walk up hill, but you will have the best view over sarajevo from the terrace. Also Haris is the best host you can wish for and he will help you make your stay as pleasant as possible. He knows a lot about the history of the city and gave us a very interesting tour. Plus, definitely be sure to visit his 'man cave' / bar!

Nice hostel although I went in the shoulder season and there weren't a lot of people. It is located in the top of a hill so it is quite a walk if you have luggage. I was put in the basement which felt dirty and stuffy although it was okay. Harris is really friendly. Free BBQ one of the nights I was there.
